I have been going to this groomer since Oct. of 2014. I have a small dog who is older with some skin and health issues. I called them before making an appointment and explained what her problems were and was told grooming her would be no problem, and there was never a problem until new owners took over this spring. Today however my dog got the worst cut ever. When my husband brought her home she looked like they gave her a bath and scissor trimmed her (badly). Her ears were totally uneven, and the rest of her was a chopped up mess. The longer I looked at her, the angrier I became. I decided to call and ask why my dog looked so bad. The girl I got on the phone was rude, unprofessional, and had a VERY bad attitude. All she did was give me one excuse after another. (I assume she was the one who «groomed» my dog. I tried to explain that we never had a problem with the old owner, and she never seemed to have any problems grooming my dog. She said the new owner has 8 years experience and the old owner only had two. So, obviously experience doesn’t mean much. I just wish they would have told me they could not handle my dogs issues instead of just doing a lousy job and taking our money !!! Grrrrrrr

I know for sure now they didn’t express the little ones glands– he was ill from it, and I’m pissed I paid 70 for a damn bath! I can do that myself! Thanks for NOTHING! I wish I could give zero stars!
I just moved to the area and I wanted to try this place since it was so close to home. We made a same day appointment and arrived on time. We had to ring the bell and wait to be let in, ok no biggie. There was a very large dog in the front in a gated area that would not stop barking, so it was hard to hear what the girl was saying and it scared my pups. There wasn’t any prices posted anywhere, I had no idea what came with the service I was paying for. I had to ask tons of questions and the girl seemed out of it– she said she had a headache. So, I pick my two pups up and they looked clean. I wasn’t sure they even did a cut, maybe a trim? I am completely annoyed that’s it’s 12 days later and they look 5 days over due for a cut! 70.00 for two small dogs (one is 7 lbs/​one is 11 lbs) and I’m sure all they did was bathe them and cut down nails– which I stressed. I also asked if the anal glands would be done she said yes, not sure that was done either. The little one has been scooting, which means he’s due for the groomers… at my regular place we can go easily 3 weeks no issue. I would not recommend this place or go back.

BEWARE OF THE GROOMER. In Febuary, I took my cocker spaniels to Kathy @ Paws Pet Spa. The grooming was fine and I was very happy upon leaving the business. When I got hom I noticed one of my dogs eye was closed and irritated. I thought maybe soap had gotten in his eye, which would have been understandable. A couple days went by and it was even worse, so I took him to the Vet. It was so swollen he couldn’t make a determination at that time. gave me antibiotic ointment and hoped for the best. The ointment helped but the eye was completely changed in color and was transparent looking, and still is.. A second Vet determined optic opacity and possible knick with sissors or clippers. Our vet bills were in excess of $ 120. I called Kathy and she took absolutely no responsibly for this. NONE! She rattled on about her own dog and was deflecting from the problem I was trying to explain to her. She said it was probably a strange coinencidence and he probably got a stick in his eye.. I am with my dogs ²⁴⁄₇ and this DID happen at her grooming spa. I sent a letter and the vet bills to her and received NO response or culpability. While the grooming was fine, her business practices and compassion leave much to be desired. Even with antibiotic and steroid drops, to this day, Cameron has limited sight in his eye. I’m so sad that someone that works with pets could be this heartless and take NO responsibility. BEWARE OF THIS GROOMER.

We have taken our dogs there several times now and I can honestly say this is the best dog groomer we have ever been to. The staff is very kind and they always take great care of our dogs. When we come back to pick them up they are always just lounging around. They do a great job grooming also. Highly recommended.

Taken our dogs here a few times now and have been disappointed each time. We mainly take our dogs there to get nail trimmings and we spring for baths since we are there already. Each and every time they haven’t clipped all their nails. We have also heard of some animal abuse at this place and will never return or recommend.

I always have an amazing experience with Paws. They are very consistent, friendly, well-​priced, and great with my Black Lab. I even make the commute from Rochester Hills to visit. I would recommend this place to anyone.
