We feature local and regional music and art, as well as workshops. lessons, concerts, and exhibits. Mosaic Learn & Play is the home of Jessi’s Corner Bookstore. Sales proceeds from Jessi’s Corner benefit the Mosaic Music and Art Scholarship Fund.

History

Established in 2014.

Two years ago, Rick and Holly started thinking about ways to give back to the community of Metamora and the surrounding areas. They knew it would be centered around art and music, but they didn’t quite know what that would look like. In May 2014, a building became available and the outpouring of support from Metamora and beyond brought Mosaic to life.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Rick and Holly come from diverse backgrounds.

Rick spend his early years in East Tennessee, and Holly studied Elementary and Music Education at Ball State University.

Rick spent time performing in theaters in Branson, Missouri, later playing keyboards for a Southern Gospel Quartet, as well as several instruments in traditional Celtic and Bluegrass bands. Rick also served as Choral Director and Minister of Music in Muncie.

Holly has been involved in children’s theater and ministry in Indianapolis, as well as playing fiddle/​violin and lending her vocals to several groups.

Rick and Holly currently perform as the acoustic duo Patchwork, and are ²⁄₃ of the trio Mountaintop Gospel.

Holly also plays with The Cosmic Preachers, and is high demand as a studio instrumentalist and vocalist. In addition to music, Rick is a stand up comedian.

Holly teaches fiddle, both in group workshops and individual lessons. Rick teaches keyboards, mountain and hammer dulcimers.
