We specialize in creating custom jewelry pieces in sterling silver, 14kt and18kt gold, with an emphasis on Rose Gold. We create an exclusive line of trade marked Equestrian Jewelry called The Classic Horse Equestrian Jewelry Collection. This line of Jewelry is designed by Zorka Pondell the owner of Design Works and can be seen on our website, www​.the​clas​si​chorse​.com. Our work can be seen at the top Equestrian events in the United States. We are located in the beautiful community of Metamora Michigan, and are surrounded by miles and miles of horse farms!

History

Established in 1991.

Design Works Custom Jewelry Studio began as a tiny studio in the Heart of Metamora Michigan. I wanted to live amongst horses and knew that this quaint town, with it’s rich history as an equestrian community was the perfect home. The people that call this area home are very down to earth and friendly. Our store has grown both in size and character since it’s humble beginnings. We have a wonderful gallery space that has work by many artists displayed. This compliments our diverse selection of Jewelry, both created in the studio and from other artists and designers. We are very excited about the Equestrian emphasis of the pieces in our studio.

Business Owner

I have been an Artist since I was a child. I started creating jewelry in high school at the age of 14. I won several awards for my jewelry while in high school and decided that this would be my life’s’ focus. I attended The College for Creative Studies and graduated with a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts specializing in jewelry and metalsmithing. What i enjoy most is interacting with the people who come into my store.
