The Regency

Overall the apartments are fairly kept, cheap and in a fairly quiet neighborhood. I had no issues with my neighbors and the complex is usually pretty quiet. I second what a previous reviewer has stated. The maintenance man is rather creepy. He is very much a vigilante and he is very intrusive. He is often found working on the complex at very late hours. If I call for repairs to my apartment, he often comes to fix things late at night. I am a woman that lives alone so a creepy man entering my apt late at night is rather uncomfortable for me. My other issues is with older woman in the leasing office. She is very old and has a poor memory. She often contradicts herself and has told me the wrong information (pricing and complex rules) in the past.

The apartments themselves are very nice and well-​kept. Modern updated kitchens and remodeled features including tile in the living room were what drew me here. The neighborhood is quiet for the most part, but does seem sketchy. I wouldn’t take a leisurely stroll around these parts.
I live downstairs and had the misfortune of living below a girl who loved wearing high heels and walking every square inch of her apartment at 7am every day. You can definitely hear it clear as day.
My biggest complaint, though, is the maintenance/​property caretaker Carlos. He is constantly roaming the property, which should be a good thing, but he takes his vigilante monitoring to another level. There is a difference between being watchful and creepy and this guy hasn’t got a clue where the line is. He recently took a series of photos of my friends and I leaving my apartment. WHO DOES THAT?! Another time, he noticed me leaving my apartment with luggage as he was driving by the front of the building and he straight up stopped the car and eerily watched me as I packed my bag into my friend’s trunk.
I like the apartment itself, but constantly feeling like you’re being watched is creepy. If it wasn’t for him, I would definitely give this property at least 2 other stars.

excellent management, a great renovation with porcelain flooring, 150mph windows, solid wood cabinets, and stainless appliances, GATED in heart of Metairie. I wish they would sell them as CONDOS. and so affordable.

The two bedroom flat is nice! All stainless steel appliances and a very nice kitchen with an open bar and granite counter tops. The one bedroom unfortunately has a weird layout to it. It is located on the second floor and has no walls or doors for privacy. The landscape could also use some help. The staff is very friendly but I really was looking for a one bedroom. So a no-​go for me.

The owners/​management here are top notch! No matter what the issue, they always respond immediately and do their best to remedy any situation (leak, parking, gawd-​awful roaches which I’m not used to, broken light fixture, etc.). I’ve never had a need or request «put off» or even ever had to ask twice about something.
Background checks seem to keep out the riff-​raff and I feel generally safe here.
Seems like there is always somebody on site working to improve one thing or another and the grounds are clean and well kept.
Of all the affordable apartments I viewed in Metairie and Kenner, this was, by far, the nicest.
