I can’t say enough good things about Scott M. and, frankly, all the reps from Stuart Services that I have dealt with. He was polite, professional, and efficient. He remembered me and my dog from a previous visit and, knowing that I work from home and ringing the doorbell would send the dog barking, he very thoughtfully called me to tell me he was outside, rather than ringing the bell. We’ve found the service from Stuart to be excellent, as is the quality of the work. I like that the receptionist there calls me to let me know when the rep is en route, & if I ask for an earlier time than they have available, seems to find a way to get there there early. I’d recommend this company to anyone.

Service was scheduled between 12:00 and 4:00. At 10 min. to 4 o’clock called to say they can’t come. Wasted a whole day waiting. Pretty unprofessional for the most expensive electricians in the area. Will try another company next time.

They advertise 24 hour service and that phones will be answered by a person at all times. I called at 11pm about a broken water line, had to leave a message on a recorder, and no one returned my call until 9am the next morning. Sewerage and Water Board showed up faster than they returned my call.

Chris and Zach were both great. Got a new American Standard 10 year warranty and free service for 1 year after my indoor unit went kaput. Looking forward to not changing filters for at least a year.

My boyfriend called them, On a Monday, as we needed a faucet change, before a guest arrived on Wednesday, on an old claw footed tub. He was unable to remove it, himself. Using the faucet he purchased, changing the two feeds to the faucet, with brass and galvanized fixtures, less than ten inches worth of pipe and an hour’s labor, in addition to a mess left behind, the plumber charged $ 789. This caused unnecessary strife, between my partner and myself. This was an outrageous cost-​My suggestion here, would be to Never say you need something done in a hurry-​this is a clear example how businesses take advantage, when there is a time crunch.

I had a bathtub/​shower drainage issue. I tried to resolve it myself and failed. Scott M. From Stuart Services came in and assessed the situation. He explained what he thought the problem was (even drew me a diagram). I agreed to the terms, and he had the issue resolved about 20 minutes after showing up. I’m grateful to have found a reputable plumber.

Pleased with the service received from Stuart Services. Scott even mounted the dishwasher that our contractor «forgot» to mount 5 years ago. I would use them again. At times their procedures seem a bit robotic. But they know their stuff and do a good job.

Scott was extremely quick and efficient! WE had an AC leak that was going down into another office and it was complete within an hour ½. Well worth the money.

We had Stuart Services come out to do some work on a clogged drain line for our A/​C unit. When I got home from work, Josh was up in the attic working on things. After awhile, he seemed to have it all sorted out, but when he turned on the A/​C there was still a clog. He said he was calling another tech to help him out. Enter Scott M. to save the day. He all but swooped in wearing a superhero cape to give Josh the direction he needed to get everything in working order. I’m not sure what we would’ve done without Scott! Major kudos to this company for hiring such a stud. :)

Less than a month after Stuart Services did a $ 1500 repair that took a week to have completed, our AC quit working again. I was told that no one could even look at the unit for four days unless we paid a $ 200 «Emergency Charge.» I reminded the gentleman on the phone that we had just had the unit repaired by Stuart and did not feel a $ 200 charge was warranted unless the problem turned out to be unrelated to the initial repair. His reply… «Sorry, Love.»
Called a different company and was enjoying cool air within a few hours. Enjoy your $ 1500, Love. It will be the last you ever see from me.

Horrible!!! They said twice now that they were going to send someone to fix our AC. On Friday, they said there was an emergency and asked us to wait until Monday. We waited until Monday and no phone call. We had to call them and then they said they couldn’t come… first excuse was they were running out of daylight (it was 3 pm when we called) then the next excuse was they didn’t have anyone to send. Then, I asked to speak to a manager and surprise surprise, the manager was not available either. Save yourself time and call someone else. We had actually bought the AC from this company too and will definitely not purchase anything else from them. Very unprofessional.

Do NOT trust Stuart Services, especially for AC repair. They treated us fairly in 2012 when we needed a hot water heater replaced, but when we called them for an AC repair, they charged us $ 249 to replace a capacitor and clean the unit. They also gave us an estimate for $ 7,700 to replace the existing unit.
Problems were legion. First, they didn’t actually clean the unit, just idly ran the hose over it. Had to pay another company to do it for real (with solution).
Second, they replaced the capacitor without replacing the fan motor, guaranteeing both would burn out.
Third, they quoted $ 349 for a new fan motor saying we needed another one of the exact model. However, another technician installed a generic one for less than half that price.
Fourth, the $ 7,700 quote wasn’t necessary according to another technician and, even worse, was a full $ 4,000 over market value. FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS overpriced. I have one estimate for $ 3,700 for such a unit and two coupons in the mail for similar ones for as low as $ 3,500.
Do NOT trust this company and do not pay for any work without getting at least one other quote.
Very sad considering I had such a good relationship with them at one point.

Mr. Eddie provides excellent timely, courteous service. He gives an honest assessment of the work to be done, accurate time to completion estimates, and clear billing.

We called Stuart Services to provide a quote for ducting work and AC replacement. Chris came over on time did a general inspection of the unit and current set up. He recommended a complete replacement system with new ducting work. We asked for 3 quotes based on certain conditions. He provided the quote. I thought about the quote and what would be in our best interest.
After 3 days, I called him and asked him a couple of questions about the system.
I told him that we were going to go with Stuart Services.
We set up an appointment with JT and the crew came (originally we were told that it would take two days but at the end it took 3 days due to set up in the attic).
Mike who handle the installation was very responsive with the questions and accommodating to specific request.
After using the system about a week… It stop working. We called Stuart Service on Christmas Day… and they came over. It was minor thing and it was corrected in 10 minutes after the tech got to the house. We are happy with the services that Stuart Services has provided. They responded quickly and in a professional manner when we had issues with the system and honor the warranty (we like that… no drama).
I would definitely call them again!!!

Wish I could give them negative stars. Website advertises same day service. Called on Thursday and let them know our a/​c was broken and was asked if I could «hold on» until Saturday. I was none too pleased but decided to wait, as they were supposed to come out and fix it AND quote a new unit. I was given no time estimate, and therefore feel like I was left in limbo. The tech, Chris, calls and leaves a message at 8:15. Does not knock, nothing. When I call back, he informs me that he has «moved on» and wasn’t planning on fixing the unit anyway. Got to watch my cats pant in an 80 degree house all weekend, thanks to this company. What a waste of time and how unprofessional! Would not recommend.

my mother in law in her late 70s called them to diagnose a short in one of the bedrooms. They upsold her on many items that were not the issue. just needed a wire to be changed, which had been chewed by rodents. They sold her into changing her complete panel and all the breakers and charged more than $ 6000 for a total of 10 h hours spent on the job! First guy mis-​wired the panel which caused more problems and shut down the AC. Must have been an apprentice electrician that could not even mimic a panel which had worked fine for the past 30 years! Then another person came to fix that. Had to call the air conditioning company who blamed bad rewiring… what a mess ! $ 400 of material and $ 500 per hour for lousy work. These guys are crooks who prey on the elderly

Jamie B identified the reason why our shower was not working efficiently and resolved the issue immediately. He came on time, was very courteous and identified the issue easily. The fee for the trip visit was waived and fixing the issue was reasonable. I called to make the appt only the day before and they were able to fit me in.

They were prompt, courteous, professional and did the work quickly and well. My problem is with the way they do pricing and the prices themselves. $ 286 to replace a bathroom faucet, nothing broken just changing finishes in the bathroom, that took less than an hour’s work. I wouldn’t have scheduled service at that price, but they wouldn’t give an estimate over the phone and then you’re stuck with the dilemma of paying the $ 50 service call fee for nothing and wasting your time or paying the very high amount and getting it over with. I understand charging by the job rather than by the hour, but the receptionist should be able to give at least a ball park estimate over the phone if they go by the prices «in the book» and such a simple job shouldn’t work out to almost $ 300 an hour. I won’t be using them again under any circumstances.

We call Stuart Services with all of our household problems. They schedule very good technicians who address our issues politely and professionally.
Recently we had a plumbing problem and Scott from Stuart Services arrived on time and handled our problems quickly. He even took on an additional issue about which we hadn’t told the dispatcher.
Scott was courteous, very knowledgeable, and most importantly gave us trustworthy advice. He fixed the problems quickly and explained each action he took. He even helped to schedule an electrician to address some other concerns we had.
We’ll be using Stuart Services for a long, long time! Thanks Scott.

Waited four days for them to show up, and then they called at the end of a 4 hour appointment window to say they couldn’t make it for another 7 days.
Obviously they are selfish. After all it didn’t cost them a dime to waste 4 days of my time, and obviously untrustworthy.

I found this place through a general Google search. What a winner! I received a 6am call while on vacation to learn the A/​C was not working. Those who live in Nola or any warm state know the value of working Central Air. I saw it as a dire emergency. I mean if you pay rent, everything should work or be fixed pronto. I get it was not over 90 degrees outside but these folks burn pots on Sunday. Without air, they’d be in a sauna.
I called for emergency service at 7am. They sent someone out within the hour. They called to indicate they were in route and had the central unit back working by 10:30am. This all took place on a Sunday. Sunday dinner and fellowship was saved!!! Total rockstars in my book.
I also learned that they offer a maintenance plan for units that like $ 12 a month. It includes reduced repair cost and includes unit cleaning twice a year.
I highly recommend Stuart Services. They exceeded my expectations. Fast, affordable and efficient service = Stuart Service.

Scheduled an appointment for a new central air/​heat unit estimate because my a/​c was not cooling. They gave me an expected time range between noon and 4:00pm. After waiting all day for their rep to show up, someone calls at 3:50pm to tell me they placed other calls ahead of mine. Bottom line — no rep coming out. However, they did offer to reschedule my appointment for 5 days later. Thanks for wasting my time and delaying my efforts to alleviate my discomfort from the heat. I’ll find another business that is reliable for my a/​c needs.

Edward Faucett with Stuart Services plumbing division came out to provide an estimate on water heater replacement. During his evaluation, he noticed that a new water heater installed less than 5 years ago was installed improperly and that the connectors using improper metals are already starting to corrode. He provided an estimate for a new water heater in one area, as well as replacement of corroded connections on the newer water heater. We look forward to Eddie’s team coming in next week to complete the work. Eddie is the master plumber who will be back after the work is complete to inspect the job done by his team to ensure it meets his high standards. Thank you Eddie!

Ed was very professional and appeared to be knowledgeable about electrical work. He arrived on time, explained everything thoroughly and completed the repair work we needed (fixing an outlet in our kitchen) very quickly. It was great that he was able to come out the day after we called, even though it was the week before Christmas.
