I just dropped in for a chocolate chip cookie last night to satisfy my sweet tooth. The cookie was delicious, probably the best I’ve ever had from any of Puccino’s numerous locations, and there was a wide variety of other fresh pastries/desserts in the refrigerated case. The barista was also incredibly sweet and quick to take my order. I felt right at home at this location and will definitely be back.

Went through the drive-thru at this location this morning. Wasn’t even sure they were open as there was nobody to be seen anywhere. I ordered an iced coffee and tried to order hash browns but I was told the only thing available was a sausage biscuit and grits. So that’s what I got. Sausage biscuit pretty good, big. Grits decent. Tastes like they were already seasoned which I like. Iced coffee is good too, and they filled it to the top which I appreciate. Service was kinda mehhh. It appeared that there was only one girl running the whole show. She kinda threw an i-Pad thing at me and said«select an amount» which was for tip. Not sure how I feel about that approach. My whole breakfast was only $ 5.38. All in all a decent quick breakfast. Which is exactly what I wanted.

I don’t like to write negative reviews but in this case I had to. A couple months ago, I went through the drive thru and looked at the menu but decided to go inside. When I got inside, to my surprise, all the prices were higher than they were on the drive thru menu! I asked the barista and she confirmed that the prices are cheaper if you go through the drive thru. As if that wasn’t frustrating enough, all the Puccino’s locations charge something like $ 1.99 for daily internet. This is 2016. That’s unacceptable. I hadn’t been there since, but yesterday a friend wanted to meet there so I agreed. I went up to the counter to purchase internet for us and the barista informed me that the internet system had recently changed and that you just pay on your laptop now. When I pulled up my browser, a window popped up saying that it was now $ 1.99 for ONEHOUR or $ 7.99 for 24 hours. My friend and I left immediately and went to the Starbucks up the street where we each purchased drinks and a breakfast sandwich and enjoyed FREE internet. Puccino’s lost our business yesterday and in the future, and all over a measly $ 1.99 for something that should be free.

The best place to go on Vets. They changed their staff recently, so their service is so much better. Unlike the dumb trucks who comment on how rude and obnoxious the staff is and the location and never go back, this little place is a great place to relax. It’s free wifi, you just got to ask nicely to use it. Plus on some days or nights, there is this cute chick who works there is a delight to talk to. Don’t know her name but she is very nice to people who are on dates. That’s all I have to say! If you want to know more go check it out yourself!!!

Came in on a Sunday Afternoon around 1pm. I tried ordering a smoked salmon bagel and was told they couldn’t do it bc they had no kitchen staff here at the time. They told me I could have a regular bagel, but they didn’t know how the salmon bagel came. I find this to be an example of zero initiative on behalf of the staff. Of coarse, there is no management here to complain to.

There are so many Puccinos here in town, and this is the most pathetic one ever. I’m here to get some coffee and study, and this is what happens. I made an iced coffee purchase, and asked the little lady with the little curly black hair(whom I told was the owner) for the password for the Internet. She then tells me, I can’t get the password unless I make a minimal of $ 5 purchase. Wifi is provided for free everywhere now a days, and she’s trying to tell me my $ 3.25 iced coffee wasn’t enough to use the Internet? You have got to be kidding me. That is just money hungry. Never returning to that location. Please realize that people come to study and use the Internet, and there will be times the customers will get thirsty or hungry. You will make more money having free wifi access which lures people in rather than shut them down if a $ 5 plus purchase isn’t made to use the Internet. There’s plenty of coffee shops in this area a tenth of a mile from you.

Came in around 4:10pm on a Tuesday afternoon. Beautiful sunny day. I come here often because I like the location. Coffee is ok and the décor is quite nice. I have also frequented the Vets, Severn, and Harahan locations. I stepped up to the counter and I could see the girl working was swamped with drive through orders. She said, «Welcome to Puccino’s sir. I’m sorry, but I’ll be with you in a minute.» No problem as far as I was concerned. She was pleasant and acknowledged me and let me know I would be served. After about 10 minutes she took my order, I paid, she apologized again. I went to sit down. After taking my place, I turned on my laptop and realized I did not have the password for the wifi. I went to the counter to get it. A different worker was behind the counter and just as busy as the first one. She was at the drive through window. She looked up, saw me at the counter, and quickly looked away. She waited on four more drive through customers with out even acknowledging me. Finally, I said, «Excuse me.» She looked over with an irritated look. Never did ask if I needed anything, then turned her back on me and face the drive through. I asked if I could please get the wifi password. She turned to me and yelled, «No, you have to pay for it!» I told her I just spent $ 9 on coffee and a cookie(including a $ 2 tip). She yelled, without turning towards me, the it is the company policy that I have to pay for the password. However, she never asked me if I would like to purchase it. As I walked back to my seat, two other customers who heard our exchange said that they didn’t have to pay for wifi access. They gave me the password. I was here about 4 times last week, and I never had to pay for access to the wifi. it has always amazed me how terrible customer service is in the New Orleans area, and I’m really sorry that I experienced it at Puccino’s.

This was my first time coming to a Puccino’s and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and feel. This is a new location where the old Starbucks was at on Veterans. The best part is how they kept the look of the Starbucks sign and exterior. I wish there was a wider selection of regular coffee flavors. If you’re into iced coffee y’all should try the«Frozen-puccino», creamy and delicious ice cream with a hint of the bean. I can’t wait to try all the other locations.
