POA provides custom prosthetic and orthotic devices as well as off-​the-​shelf (OTS) orthotic devices. We welcome walk-​ins; however, scheduling an appointment is always appreciated so that the clinician can provide his/​her highest quality of service. POA’s office has an open floor plan that is designed for patients and their families to engage with one another to create an encouraging and supportive atmosphere. We also have a lounge area with Wi-​Fi access so that our patients and family can relax, eat, or get caught up on work while the clinicians are customizing and optimizing their prosthesis or orthosis to meet the patient’s needs.

History

POA’s goal is to provide the highest quality custom prostheses and orthoses.

People of all ages and activity levels are welcome at POA. POA uses the most advanced techniques known to aid in the fabrication, fitting and alignment process of prostheses and orthoses. We strive to make the best fitting prostheses and orthoses for our patients whether to help them move around their homes, run marathons, or simply be active members in their communities.

Meet the Business Owner

Brittany V.

Business Owner

Brittany is an ABC Certified Prosthetist and owner of POA of Louisiana. She received her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration at Southeastern University and her prosthetic certification at California State University Dominguez Hills. Brittany has been a bilateral amputee since 2004 due to bacterial meningitis. In 2006, she became a patient at POA in Orlando and experienced first-​hand their high quality of care and knowledge of prosthetic technology. Recently Brittany was given the opportunity to work under POA Orlando owner Stan Patterson through which she gained invaluable knowledge in the O&P field. This experience has given her the drive to produce the highest quality of care and service and to open a POA in Metairie, LA.
