Established in 2011.

PosiGen was founded in Louisiana in 2011 with the mission of having a positive financial impact on homeowners. Our Metairie, LA team provides Energy Education that helps homeowners find ways to increase their energy independence, whether it’s by upgrading their homes with energy-​efficient retrofits or utilizing state and federal incentive programs to install solar power systems and solar hot-​water systems. We are dedicated to increasing the energy independence of our community while helping them achieve financial security in the face of rising energy costs.

«We have approached solar and energy efficiency in a radical new way. We believe that the people who have the lowest incomes need the savings the most. Instead of selling solar to the rich, we provide the savings form solar and energy efficiency to low-​moderate income families. If I save someone who makes $ 100,000 a year $ 50 bucks, they spend it at Starbucks. If I save a single working mother with three kids making $ 2,500 a month $ 50, it makes a difference. If goes to buy school supplies, clothes for her children or groceries.»
