I ordered from the drive thru just now and got two large frozen café au laits, chocolate beignet bites and regular beignets. Let’s start off with the frozen café au laits. they are bland!!! Why are they skimping on the coffee?! I’m paying $ 5 for one, I expect it to be better than gas station coffee but it’s not. Next is the chocolate bites. bad as well! It’s fried to order which is cool but it is HARD!!! It doesn’t even taste like chocolate. I didn’t even bother trying the regular beignets because my mother in law took one bite and threw it away. Actually, we are at Café Du Monde as I type out this review to get two frozen café au laits and an order of beignets. I should’ve just went to Café Du Monde and saved myself $ 20. That being said, the food is always good. Just not coffee and beignets.

Awful customer service! The food is mediocre, but the service is absolutely the worst. They’re not organized and so rude to the customers. Is anyone training these people? It’s honestly as if they were hired and just told to work without proper training.

We came here to try the beignets and they were really not very good. The plain ones were nothing compared to Café Du Monde — they were a bit dry and flavourless. The chocolate ones were even worse. I wouldn’t recommend this café for the beignets. The service was great though.

I like this restaurant for lunch, but breakfast and the beignets especially were awful.

Beigent are still good but the café aoulet just doesn’t get it. First cup was burnt bottom of pot second batch was very bitter too much coffee not enough milk Very disappointing. The last time I was here it was great. May have to cross it off my places to go.

Ok, so I already knew the New Orleans H&S menu was not the best, and the prices?! well just crazy sauce. But we would still come to this location on occasion because it was quieter and my kid likes ice cream. But really the staff the first time we went were lovely, so we kept going back. However, after our last experience we will not be returning. First of all the«girl» that took our order was terrifying. She never greeted us, just stared us down like she wanted to murder us. So I only ordered half of what I normally would have because I was scared. Then the food never came out, 20 minutes and only 2 other tables in the place. So I asked about it, a different scary girl grabbed it off the pass and threw it down on the counter without looking at me or apologizing. The place was also filthy. I wondered how they could get away with such things, then I I. D’d the manager. He had to have been under 20 and he was wandering looking at his phone the whole time we were there. Weak leader, weak employees. I was also super unhappy with unnaturally dense beignets. Way too many places to eat in that area to waste your time and money here.

New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood is a sort of confusing restaurant. The place doesn’t seem to know what it is. They have the setup of a fast food restaurant, the attitude of a fast casual restaurant, and the price and food delivery time of a casual full service restaurant. The food is pretty good and it feels like if they fixed the format, they would do that much better.

Chocolate beignet is the bomb diggity here! Enough said. Everything else seemed good but this piece is solely on the beignets.

I pass this place on my way to work everyday. So today I thought I would give it a try. I stopped by the drive thru for breakfast and was disappointed right after I placed my order. I was stuck there waiting for about 10 minutes because I had two cars ahead of me. I ordered the NOLA Style breakfast which is basically grits, eggs, bacon, toast $ 6.95. The eggs were fine just missing salt and pepper, the toast was only toasted on one side, the bacon was bacon, but the grits they weren’t good. Something was missing. Also I wish I was offered some butter for those grits before I pulled off in my car. All in all I won’t return again for breakfast. I may try their lunch one day.

Great burger, with fresh, quality ingredients. My only complaint is the nasty condiment squirt bottles. I hate having to touch those things after everyone else. $ 13 for a burger, fries and drink. I don’t mind paying a little more for better quality. Nice workers.

My personal preference would be morning call… I am only talking about the beignets since that’s the only thing I got… I got an order of traditional and chocolate beignets and these things are like chewing a loaf of bread. The beignets were super dense and that is my biggest complaint! Even though they were crazy thick they were surprisingly moist. I won’t be a returning customer for the beignets but id like to give the food and coffee a try! So for now the friendly service with the option of me coming back for different food and drink tastings I’ll give it a 3 star.

I often leave my house in the morning without making breakfast or coffee, and if I show up to work without either of those things, I’m a complete monster… so NOLA Coffee & Beignet Co SAVESTHEDAY! First and foremost, I love that they have dairy-free options such as soy milk. Their breakfast platters are full and a rare find for a drive-thru. The food was fresh and delicious and though it’s a little high-priced, it was worth it. Definitely recommended!

I had a craving for a beignet and café au lait. Saw this place on Veterans Highway and decided to stop in. I usually have the traditional beignets but a chocolate beignet on their menu caught my eye so I ordered it. Pretty tasty, but still not as good as a plain one from the old famous other beignet company in town. You know who I mean.

It was a Sunday before the Saints game, and I was looking for a place to pad our stomachs before the drinking festivities. The place was perfect. I picked up a couple of combo breakfasts with some beignet pieces(kind of like donut holes). The breakfast was great. The drive thru was fairly quick. I would definitely come back.

I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, I thought the beignets weren’t very good… far less tasty than Café Du monde. Pro’s: 1) Easy to park. 2) Friendly staff. 3) Interior was clean and relatively new. 4) Prices weren’t bad. Con’s: 1) The beignets. Just didn’t care for them. Tasted like a beignet you would get out of state at another restaurant claiming to make New Orleans style beignets. Just not very good. 2) The chocolate beignet. We mainly went to try this much acclaimed chocolate phenomenon. Looked great at the window. Tasted really odd. My wife and I both looked up at each other with a grimaced look and said«what is that weird flavor?» There was something in the chocolate that tastes odd. It certainly doesn’t taste like chocolate to me.

Ok I will give it 3.5 stars from the previous 5 and here is why: My first few experiences were wonderful, strong coffee and freshly made, fluffy, beignets. Also, there was a clean seating area with ample seating. Most recent experience: stale beignets, which seemed to be sitting out for a few hours and just reheated. They were NOT fluffy, terribly doughy. Certainly NOT keeping in line with their promise of «made to order» beignets, which frankly was their entire appeal for me. So disappointed. The cashiers were still very friendly but no one was bussing tables! Several tables in the seating were dirty. Maybe hire additional help? I really want to keep coming here, so please please get your beignet quality back up guys! Hopefully it was just a bad visit. Will update review on my next trip here.

This place is rough! My wife, son and another three friends decided to give it a try for a late night snack(10:30 pm). When we arrived we had a short wait to order. We ordered 4 orders of beignets and two orders of bite sized beignets, along with 3 coffee drinks. We waited about 10 minutes for the order to come up and when we went to seat ourselves we found no place to sit. Not because there were no empty places but because they were all filthy. We asked for someone to please clean a table and we were met with a less than pleasant attitude and informed they had no one to clean a table. They had plenty of help(2 young ladies) to take our money but no one to service the customer after they pass the front counter. Only after trying to squeeze into a small table a stranger helped us clean a table so we could eat what we purchased. The lady cleaning the table(see pics) DOESNOTWORKTHERE, and was more helpful than anyone else in the place. In addition, the bathrooms were what I expect to see in a dive bar in the quarter not a recently opened café. As for the food, the coffee was good but the beignets, not so much. I can only offer I would not recommend to anyone, not only for the food but the service and cleanliness.

Surprised me that they served soups, salads and sandwiches. Honestly, I have not tried the beignets. Just had lunch here and tried chicken salad. I really like the selection of music playing. Nice touch. The coffee is really good too. Not too strong, and I watch that stuff too. Heard they created chocolate beignets. I will be tasting those soon in fall with hot cocoa.

I’m in like, not love, with NOCB. I’ve visited the first location attached to the New Orleans Seafood and Hamburger on St. Charles many times. What I do love is the variety and convenience. Growing up, Beignets were a treat only enjoyed when I happened to be in the quarter or while entertaining out of town guests. Now, we can get them in the mall, and finally, at a drive through. The selection is unique. Chocolate beignets, beignet bites and beignet sundays are all on the menu. Now, why am I not in love? The beignets are good, but not as good as Café Du Monde or Morning Call. They’re also more expensive. And since I discovered Robert Fresh Market has delicious pillowy beignets in the A.M., for about $ 0.50/each, I’m kind of spoiled. I spent almost $ 7 for an order of beignets and a coffee… kind of steep I think. But it’s cute, original and convenient.
