History
Established in 2014.
We were founded in 2007 in Plano, Texas, by Rich Hicks and Todd Istre who had a vision to bring a superior burger experience to Dallas-Fort Worth. Since that time, we’ve continued growing throughout the U.S. and internationally. One thing that has remained consistent is our obsession with customization, quality and freshness, and others have taken note. We have been ranked 1st overall in Restaurant Business’s 2013 Future 50 list and listed as No. 12 in Fast Casual Magazine’s annual Top 100 Movers & Shakers 2014. We love the attaboys, but we get the biggest kick out of making the perfect burger, fries, and shake for every Guest.
Meet the Business Owner
Kaleb D.
Business Owner
This restaurant is owned and operated by brothers and original New Orleanians, Kaleb and Khai Duong – their second MOOYAH in the New Orleans area. Prior to franchising, Kaleb’s and Khai’s careers lay in radiology and education, respectively. The brothers knew they wanted to pursue local business ownership together in their hometown of New Orleans. Kaleb and Khai first got into franchising in 2010 when they opened a couple of frozen yogurt shops, which they still own and operate today. Wanting to diversify, and being familiar with MOOYAH after visiting Dallas, the brothers looked into the brand from a professional standpoint and signed a five-unit deal. Their ultimate goal is to grow outward into the seven parishes surrounding the city. Stop in today and let the Duong brothers build you the best burger in Metairie.
