Metairie Dental Centre

This is a wonderful place! The people are so nice and they always make you so comfortable. They also have tvs on the ceiling!

Dr. Donaire, Paulette, and the staff are awesome! I highly recommend Metairie Dental. They’re on time, professional, and make you feel at home. Also, it’s super clean!

This is a great place. Dr. Bonnie Murphy was very intelligent and caring. She explained everything well and did not rush at all. For example, she showed me how to use threaders while flossing. In addition, Dr. Paula Donaire was friendly and courteous. Also, the receptionist was very friendly. Finally, the place was clean and included a TV on the ceiling for patients.

Staff is very knowledgeable! The TV on the ceiling of my exam room was a nice distraction while I got my teeth cleaned. Everyone was super nice! I really like that they are open late!

Dentists That ranks up there with the DMV for places that people hate going to, but unfortunately have to, right? Consider me part of the population that avoids dentists like the plague.
Also, plague looks a lot like plaque. Coincidence? I think not.
Anyhow, after 3+ years of not seeing a dentist, I finally got some dental insurance (woo! marriage perk!) and decided it was time to bite the bullet and see what was going on in the depths of my mouth.
Here comes the unexpected twist, given my doom ‘n’ gloom intro to this review…
…IT WASN’T HORRIBLE.
The receptionist fit me in the next day after I called to make my 1^st appointment. Next day, people! When I try to get my daughter in for a cleaning at her dentist, it’s at least a 1 month wait. Metairie Dental Centre? Next. Day.
The hygenist, Dr Bonnie, doing the cleaning & x-​rays at the first appointment was a little strange. Friendly, but strange. Her strangeness was part of the charm, actually.
She could have just said, «damn Jenn, your teeth suck, why haven’t you been to a dentist in over 3 years?» But no. Instead, she related it back to her own awful teeth and the millions of procedures she has apparently had over the past few decades. Awesome.
They set up a treatment plan for my excessive number of cavities, and they do offer a 10% discount if you pay for it up front, along with other payment options. Again, very cool.
My dentist, Dr. Quartano, made everything as quick & relatively painless as possible on each of my 3 visits. There was that whole not quite being numb thing during the first cavity-​fixing visit, which I equate with child birth as far as the pain, but I’m still giving them 5 stars.
Why? Because he subsequently shot me up with a ton of stuff and fixed it.
Plus, the other 2 appointments went perfectly fine. Painless, even.
Oh, and they spell «Centre» the Canadian way, so bonus points on that one.
In summary, yes, I’m giving a 5 star review to a dentist.

I am still a regular patient here for the care and upkeep of my teeth. Taking care of my teeth is so very important because I just love to enjoy the food of the Crescent City.
Well Dr. Paola Donaire is still providing great professional, caring, and personal service along with her staff. For the first time in my life going to the dentist is not a bad thing. I look forward to my visits and I even drive out of town to Metairie for her services.
