Dropped off items to be cleaned, starched & pressed. What a fiasco. They have been paid & after multiple attempts, Manager Nicole refuses to re-do job or provide me a refund. Will not be back.

I don’t dry clean very often, but their service has always been outstanding. I had a suit cleaned for a wedding, but I was worried about it getting wrinkled when I packed it. The woman working there folded it very carefully,(with tissue paper between each layer) and put it in a thick plastic bag that would fit in my suitcase. It worked very well and my suit stayed wrinkle-free! In my experience, their prices are very reasonable and they generally have very quick turn-around times. I would definitely recommend them!

Aweful! I have used J & D twice to clean a large rug that I have in my son’s room, and they have disappointed me both times. The first time they told me it would be ready in «about a week.» A week later, the apologized and said it was not ready but would be done in another week, but again it was not. This continued twice more and it took an entire month to get it back. In speaking with a staff member, she explained that the washing process for this consisted of putting the rug into a giant washer, then hanging to dry for approx 2 days. Six months later(last week) I decided to go back to have it cleaned again at J&D. I called before hand, and was told it would take a week to have ready for me to pick up. When I went to drop it off, I strong emphasized that I needed it to be ready a week later because of a Christmas party at my house, and AGAIN they promised it would be. They even went as far as to promise it a day earlier. I went to pick it up two days after it was supposed to be ready, and OFCOURSE it was not. The pulled it up off of the floor and it had not been started on yet! They said they they had been really busy, and I understand that, but how does a company grossly under estimate how much work they can handle?! Either incompetence or just lying. Probably the former just by talking to these people, but either is inexcusable. I just took the rug back without having it cleaned, and I will find place to have it done. Needless to say, I will never come back to this place!

Had been going here for a few months with no problems to speak of, when we began to notice many starch spots all over my boyfriends shirts and pants, and random starching of shirts when we had not asked for it. Hopefully it was a single employee, and the level of service will go back up to it’s prior standard! The prices are very fair, and the turnaround is quite quick!

Recently I decided that my wardrobe should include more than just 30 t-shirts and one suit, especially since I’ve been interviewing a lot recently. To correct this college bachelor attire situation I picked up a couple of new shirts and slacks. I mention this because I found one I really liked, wore it once, then took it here to get dry cleaned. When I went to pick it up, the girl behind the counter found the pants and vests I had brought in but couldn’t find my jacket or shirts. After a couple of minutes of looking she had to call someone over to help. He took one look at the ticket and went to the back of the store. Moments later he returned with two of my shirts and jacket cleaned but the shirt I really liked in his hand. Even from across the room I could tell it was damaged. Somehow it had gotten caught in the machine and the sleeve, cuff, and part of the hem practically shredded. Of course, I wasn’t pleased seeing that. Rather than get angry I decided to let the gentleman helping me explain what happened and see how he would suggest we correct this situation. This is where J&D Cleaners really shines. He was very apologetic and explained what happened and admitted fault immediately. First, he gave me my entire order of dry cleaning for free. This was a great first step considering I had brought three suits plus vests and some other items, around $ 40 worth of cleaning. He then offered to either just pay for the shirt or replace it himself. Thankfully the shirt was from a store in the mall nearby so it would he easy to replace. I accepted his offer to purchase a new shirt for me and clean and press it. Fast forward to a week later. There was a small delay in getting the shirt but J&D made good their promise and replaced the shirt as well as cleaned it for me. I’ve used J&D for two years now and with service like this I will stay a loyal customer.

A great, reliable cleaners in the New Orleans area. I have been going here since 1988 and i believe they have been family owned for almost 25 years. they also do great, affordable tailoring/alternations and restored my wife’s wedding gown that was ruined in the flooding of katrina. my favorite vintage dior suit and topcoat was also ruined in the storm, but was saved through careful cleaning.
