Bud’s Broiler is a New Orleans classic offering hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, and more. The original Bud’s Broiler was founded in 1952, and it’s been a hit ever since.

Bud’s Broiler in Metairie was founded in 2005, and has continued the Bud’s Broiler tradition. Bud’s was originally founded by Mr. Alfred «Bud» Saunders, who brought over the original recipe for what we call our «Own Hickory Smoke Sauce.» This sauce is what we still use today! What also makes our food special is that we cook our meats of charcoal and everything is made to order. Some favorites are our famous hot dogs, charcoal broiled hamburgers, and our chili cheese fries!

History

Established in 2005.

Bud’s Broiler was started in 1952 off the corner of Airline Hwy & Cleary by Mr. Alfred «Bud» Saunders. Bud came from Austin, Texas and decided it was time to open his own restaurant. He moved to Louisiana and brought his original «Hickory Smoke Sauce» recipe, and the rest is history!

In 1992 Bud’s Broiler was purchased by Mr. Joe Catalano. Joe has been running Bud’s Broiler since 1980 and has been working at the restaurant since 1962.
