Skillful Improvements provides a 24-​hour emergency restoration service for fire, flood, and mold remediation. We are members of the largest restoration group in the country, Disaster Kleenup, and have many certifications with the IICRC (The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification). Additionally, Skillful Improvements is a remodeling corporation with design /​build capabilities. Skillful has received many awards on a local, state, regional, and national level. We have on staff a NARI «CR» Certified Remodeler, and a NARI «CKBR» Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler.

History

Established in 1986.

The company’s roots go back to 1976 with an ambitious group of seminary students. The business grew under the principles of integrity, pride in craftsmanship, and good service. In 1986, the company was incorporated and given the present name of Skillful Improvements. After significant growth, Skillful joined the Greater Dallas Chapter of NARI and sharpened its expertise in remodeling. During the 90’s, the company continued to grow and became involved with an increasing number of insurance repair projects. As a result, a new division for the company was created specifically in restoration. Investments were made for training and equipment for water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, and contents cleaning. During this time, Skillful Improvements acquired numerous certifications from the IICRC and joined the Disaster Kleenup national franchise. Today, whether it is remodeling or restoring, Skillful still operates with integrity, pride in craftsmanship, and quality service.
