Absolute Mitsubishi

Purchasing my car from Absolute Hyundai Mesquite was a good experience. Their service department is terrible. I’ve had the same advisor, John Pena, the last 2 visits and he has had such a terrible attitude. First problem with Advisor John Pena was an in cabin air filter where he quoted $ 52 to change, when a genuine Hyundai part is $ 16. He told me I didn’t know what I was talking about, so I showed him the Hyundai Parts page with free shipping on my phone. The second problem with Advisor John Pena was today with a damaged tire. I was told to come in and the tire should be prorated as to replacement cost. I drove to Absolute Hyundai and was told I had impact damage and it would not be covered. I brought up about my call to service and was told again it would not be covered. I called another tire shop and was told I could purchas the same tire for $ 50 less, but not Monday. I went to tell Advisor John Pena not to do the work, the tire was off, but not dismounted. He told me there was no way the tire could be purchased for less and acted like I was telling a story. I let the work be completed because the car was already in the air. The tire replacement was less costly at Huffines Hyundai Plano. I live within 5 miles of Huffines Hyundai Plano, but drove 35 miles to Absolute Hyundai out of loyalty. I will never return to Absolute Hyundai Mesquite for sales or service, solely due to a Advisor John Pena and his terrible attitude.

Absolute was the 4^th Mitsubishi dealership at that location. I was a loyal service customer for 15 years and every 3,000 miles until now. My two service visits and experience with Absolute has been atrocious. Incompetent service advisors and a service manager, who never met or talked to me, despite many requests. Each time I got my Montero back, something else was wrong with it or it was not fixed. I was patient, but insistent they correct the problems they incurred. Parts were always wrong too. I never seen such incompetence on such a large scale. When I pointed all the problems out, I was told by the incompetent service advisor that the absent service manager didn’t want my business in the future, although I still receive mailers and emails. I called today for my records, they can’t even get that together. Run.
