I got the Jessie james and that was a half chicken. I personally did not like it. The chicken was very dry. My husband got a Texas dip and he thought that it was just alright. It was like a play on to an Italian beef sandwich. As for my mom she got the pulled pork sandwich and she really liked that. The ice cream is very good! I got panda paws very cute name and very tasty. My mom got the pumpkin ice cream and she loved it.

We stopped here on our way back to New York. It is a gem! I had a second round of BBQ’d chicken and corn on the cob. I can’t wait for our next trip up that way, we will definitely be back. LOVE!

Chris’s western barbecue is a great place to eat. There chicken and sandwiches are very good. But I love this place for the ribs they are always cooked just right and the sauce is great. I have never hate there icecream but I always get a chocolate shake. They have a lot of pictures and old license plates and just the whole cowboy theme is pretty cool. It is CASHONLY so make sure you have cash. This is a great place to go and eat good BBQ

my mom told me about this place after hearing about it from a friend at work, so a friend and i decided to make a trip down there. the place looks amazing, i love it, but the food didn’t quite live up to it. i got a platter with ribs, chicken, and a small beef sandwich, none of which tasted like they were smoked. the beef was dry and had very little flavor, the ribs were also pretty dry, they were definitely leftovers from the night before, and the chicken was overdone but still moist. it basically falls apart in your hands as you eat it, which some people like, but if yer a fan of true bbq you know that this means it’s overcooked. they pour a ton of their sauce on the meat, which means they’re hiding something. the sauce was decent though, not too much molasses like most generic sauces. the coleslaw, baked beans, and malted chocolate milkshake i got were easily forgettable, but the fresh cut fries i ordered were great, some of the best i’ve had.

Best western barbeque east of the mississippi, and i have had my fair share of barbeque. Amazing ribs and pulled pork for a really good price, friendly service, clean, and impressive western décor. Great stop along scenic route 6.
