I don’t have anything to say other than that I agree with the other reviews. Requested non-​smoking single bed room… told we couldn’t checkin until 3 pm… then 4 pm then 5 pm… then got a 2-​queen smoking room… what a disaster. For $ 200 save yourself $ 100 and stay at a super8 or motel6… it’s actually lower quality than those. You can use $ 100 for a nice meal out or a better hotel…

If I could give 0 stars, I would. American Airlines put us up in this hotel, due to missing our flight. This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Carpet was filthy, bathtub disgusting, blanket was dirty. I was afraid to even stay there. If it had not been so late, I would have gladly switched hotels and paid for it myself.
Don’t even think about staying there.

A man was urinating near my door as I approached my first room. My second room had a suffocating odor with carpet stains throughout, including many that looked like freshly-​spilled blood. American Airlines put me here overnight because of a missed connection. Shame on you #AmericanAir @AmericanAir

This was pretty bad. I just needed a place to sleep so I was looking for a deal. This was $ 97, and I wish I went anywhere else. They didn’t even have a flat sheet on the bed! Just the fitted sheet and then the nasty felt sheet with holes in it and the comforter. So grosssss! I told the front desk that we need sheets but since it was 10pm when we checked in, he was the only one working and he didn’t have access to housekeeping.
At least they gave us a refund when we cancelled our 2^nd night with no problem and I didn’t even complain, I just asked. :)

Dont Do it! Where do I start? This hotel has hosted our event for many years and THIS year? Holy CRAP. WAY overpriced. I get the same room every year. Heard there was a Hooker in our room the night before we got there.(this is what our neighboring room told us) First the bathroom looks like someone may have been murdered there. place was filthy. Cigarette butts all over the patio, used Syringe on the patio, we called to get sheets for the foldout bed twice and NEVER received them, person had to sleep with a blanket on the mattress. We usually tip the maid service, however this year we never SAW a maid. Carpet was Gross. Scummy people wander around, mattress SUCKS. Back hurt everyday. So outdated. Charged over 400 $ for three nights. Stupid.
DON’T bother with the breakfast bar, they are soooo skimpy that all you might want is coffee.
I had to wait to get coffee behind an employee getting breakfast for her child and another employee getting their breakfast. Can you say SLUMLORD attitude? He doesn’t seem to care about anything but what he gets. I was charged 119. a night and others attending the same event were charged 79.95, He does not have enough help, (either he CAN’T keep employees or he is just too cheap.) When I saw a maid cleaning a room, I went to ask about the extra sheets and her child and Husband/​boyfriend was sitting in the room also. The grounds and the lobby are the only nice things about this place. He doesn’t want our group back because he thinks this place could be booked for HIGHER rates. It seemed that we were the only group there, the hotel was NOT full, There advertise these pretty rooms with flat screens and updates, but you don’t get these rooms. GREEDY GOUGER! NASTY, GROSS, My non smoking room reeeeeked. I could go ON AND ON…

RUN, DON’T WALK AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, FAST! My daughter stayed the night here and it was late when she decided to turn in. Finding a stain and hair in her bed that weren’t hers she called the front desk. It was late and she didn’t want to leave so she asked the desk clerk Michael, if he could comp her room which he said yes. She slept in her friends bed. They charged her for the room even after they said they would comp it. She asked for my help, I called and spoke to the «manager», he said he would need to speak with the clerk on duty that night and would call me back in 2 days on Thursday. Probably 8 – 10 unreturned calls over the next 3 weeks before I finally spoke to some other lady who said she would follow up on it. 2 days later she said he told her he would not comp them the room. Unbelievable horrible service from this hotel manager. Worse yet, he doesn’t seem to even care. I will never stay here.

DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE!
I highly suggest no one ever stay here! If I could give ZERO or NEGATIVE stars I would. Its painful for me to even give this place ONE star. The first poor impression I received was the smell. As soon as I walked in the room I was hit with the brick of stink! It reeked of feces! And it was freezing. The heater did not work and the room was very cold (month of december). The next horrifying realization was the filth. The room was SO dirty! Dirty bathtub with hair, dirty bed, dirty carpets, dirty bathroom, dirty walls! This room looked like it had NEVER been cleaned! I reluctantly stayed the first night, but packed my stuff the next morning and left, to never return. I then called the hotel to cancel the room. They had already charged my card, which I did not give them permission to do (my work booked and paid for the room for me) and the amount they charged was more than it should have been. I called the hotel to get a full refund and I was told that had to be handled by the owner. Within 5 days I had called 8 times, and yet he was never there nor did I get a call in return. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! This is not how you run a business nor treat your customers. I cant say enough about how poorly this hotel was and I again suggest that no one ever book a room here. Before writing this review I read the others. You will notice the common thread in justified complaints is the lack of cleanliness! Just terrible! Hey Windemere, CLEAN YOUR HOTEL ROOMS!

If I could give zero, certainly would. While sitting on toilet two mice ran under the door. Hotel was full and couldn’t move us, but since we were there for funeral decided to grin and bear it one night. I remained clothed and didn’t sleep when brought to attention of desk, both times I was told nothing they could do as I needed to speak to management, who was never available. It is not a chain but individually owned, thus the lack of concern about complaints. I sent email to management and a week later still nothing. Next report is to health department. Under no circumstances should you stay here!!!

I arrived at the hotel, along with three traveling companions, on October 28^th. We booked our room through Expedia. After checking in, we went to the room to find it stinking and dirty. The end table looked as though it hadn’t been wiped when the last guest left, the table lamp is filthy, the lamp shades have probably never been dusted or cleaned, the doors could use some 409 and elbow grease, and the baseboards haven’t been cleaned in years. The air conditioner didn’t work. The guest survey paper has dried after obviously having something spilled on it. The carpeting is also extremely filthy and stained, and the radio alarm clock does work. I wouldn’t dare touch the ironing board cover, and the iron was caked with burned black material. We called the front desk and they offered us a different room that was equally as disgusting. The front desk said someone would be up in the morning to thoroughly clean the room, fix the air and deliver the table that was missing from the room. The next morning, we went to the continental breakfast, which we were told ended at 9:30. It was 8:55. They were out of everything. When we asked about it, we were told it ends at 9:00. When three other families showed up for breakfast, the front desk put out a little more food. One of the individuals in my group bit into his biscuits and gravy to find a huge piece of jagged glass! He brought it to the front desk. He was introduced to the general manager, who we found out later, is really the owner. He said he couldn’t do anything for us, and we would have to deal with Expedia. He went on to say it wouldn’t bother him if we took our business elsewhere! Sure, because he already collected from Expedia! Room service showed up later that morning, while I was showering. They said they would come back. They returned when we were gone and only dropped off more towels and wash clothes. They didn’t even empty the garbage. The table was not delivered until the evening of October 30, and we were leaving in the morning. And we got the air conditioner working ourselves. Looks certainly are deceiving at this hotel. I have never seen a hotel that looks so beautiful from the outside and having such an appealing lobby, only to be so completely disappointed. Sleep in your car. You’ll probably feel cleaner and be more comfortable.

OMGosh, save your money. Even if you have a function at the Conference Center (which is very nice BTW) travel 10 miles and stay at the Courtyard by Marriott. This hotel is nothing short of awful. From the front desk personnel who swore I had canceled my reservation, to the free breakfast which included all the carbs you could want (tater tots, bagels, cereal) with no protein or fresh fruit of any kind.
Read all the reviews I wish I’d read before my travels to get a complete and accurate idea of what awaits you here then find yourself somewhere else to stay. Yuk!

Don’t know where to start.
1. Knock at door woke me up. An ASPHALT worker who was obviously not even a Windemere employee TOLD me to get up and move my car so they could finish the parking lot!
2. The first room I was in, I was out of within 15 minutes because the air-​conditioner did not work… not even a click, and the carpet had what looked like permanent stains. I did NOT track anything in, so I’m certain it was there when I got there.
3. In the second room the air-​conditioner worked… but nothing else did.
— One of the two bed lamps did not work
— The refrigerator did not work
— The Hairdryer fan did not spin up, nor was there heat from the coils… completely dead
— Very poor quality, old, CRT TV
— 2 out of 5 employees I tried to speak to, spoke no English… NONE. I tried some of my grandparent’s German… still nada.
This place is an absolute worthless PIT. Book somewhere else.

Holy smokes (because that’s exactly all you could smell)…
Well, I dont have much else to say with reading the other reviews about this place. I had to stay here because the airline flight got canceled and they put us up for the night. I can understand the low — budget «accommodations» but to the hotel owner… Come on! Make some renovations, update a few things, and at least get rid of your furniture and sheets with cigarette burns.
It was sketchy. You could tell at one point in its hay day this place was legit. But now? Yikes.

Ok. This is rather unusual of me but I haven’t left a longer review in a while.
Cons:
Furnishings from the early ‘90s. No kidding. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, table, drawers … everything. CRT TV? You guessed it. Awkwardly placed outlets and light switches? Check and check. Terrible lighting? Yes. Sir. There was even dust on the packets of coffee. Get with the times… it’s 2015 people. Wifi didn’t work in my room. Toilet paper quality was very sub-​par. Also this part of town is littered with junk and fast food. I try to live a healthy lifestyle and it literally seems NOBODY around here is on the same page with that.
Pros: I paid $ 100 for two queen beds, a large balcony, and overall spacious room. There is pretty much is room to do yoga/​small workout. Talk about a good deal. But in retrospect if you’re looking for something decent or for a business trip, definitely look elsewhere.

Disgusting. I don’t know where to begin, in a non smoking room I could taste my great grandmas favorite casino chair 1000 miles away. Cigarette holes in the bed spread, and the carpet, the faucet was hanging from the wall In the bathroom, there was literally «sh*t» on the wall in the bathroom and I refused to even sit on the bed. Yes it was that bad. Needless to say I did not stay. Only reason I even give it one star is because the front desk attendant tried to give us a better room. (Unsuccessfully) I would not pay any amount to stay here, especially over 100 $.

This place is pretty vile, and the only reason it gets 2 stars is because the customer service is decent and the pool/​hot tub were ok.
The lady at the front desk who helped me out was nice and gave me directions to my room without my having to ask. Like. HOWEVER…
Upon opening the door to my non-​smoking room, I was greeted by the stale stench of cigarettes. It was palpable. I could taste the old Winstons that I used to steal out of my grandparents’ ashtray when I was a kid.
It’s clear that everything here is old and in dire need of an update. At the very least new linens and some fresh paint. I don’t normally do a bedbug check, but I did immediately before putting my bags near anything.
My advice– there are more reputable places close by that cost only a little bit more– go there!

What a dump!!! A 6 Motel compared to this place is the Ritz Carlton!!! Where do I even start? The interior grounds are acceptable, they are pet friendly and the price is very reasonable… outside of that forget about it! The cleaning people don’t vacuum the carpets, the bathroom floors are disgusting, old paint on everything including on the windows, the deadbolt on the door would not lock properly, to flush the toilet I needed to hold down the handle until everything had vacated the bowl, I checked the bed before getting into it (to see if anything might be living between the sheets) and finally, my dog would not lie on the carpet… she stayed on her mat!!! It reminds me of a Slumlord owner that plans never to put one dollar back into the property. The location should be gutted and completely remodeled… or just demo’ed.

A pretty nice place for the money. The room had a jacuzzi tub, was spotless, and has a microwave and mini fridge. The breakfast was pretty decent as well. Good juice, oatmeal, bagels, waffles, hard boiled eggs, cold cereal, etc… My only complaint was that the tv is still a tube tv — not a flat screen — and I’ve grown accustomed to watching my sports in HD. A good deal all around.

This place is a dump. For the price, I really didn’t expect too much, but my experience here was terrible! I got a late flight, so I didn’t check in until 11pm. I figured I would only be here for about 7 hours, so I opted out of staying somewhere nice. The first room I checked into had mosquitoes everywhere! In the first hour, I swatted 5 mosquitoes and got bitten. I also noticed little bugs crawling all over the bathroom floor. Talk about an infestation! On top of that, my sink was clogged. After deciding that I could not stay here any longer, I went up to the front desk to speak with a Manager. They were nowhere to be found.
It was midnight and I did not have a car so I just asked to switch rooms. After explaining why, the guy at the desk didn’t even acknowledge anything I told him. He was a heavier set gentleman… and moved really slow… When I asked if anyone else had similar complaints, he said there was a issue with the pipes and there was standing water in the complex — hence tons of mosquitoes. He didn’t seem too concerned. I think he was just trying to get rid of me.
The second room didn’t have any mosquitoes, but it just felt really weird being there. Kinda like the feeling you get if someone said the place was haunted. I didn’t sleep a wink! The complimentary breakfast here is a joke. The food was cold — straight out of the fridge. I had no idea when it was even made. Pay the extra 30 – 40 bucks and stay at La Quinta, or someplace nicer.

The moment we pulled into the parking lot I though wow this place looks really nice and then we went into our room and I though I have to sleep in this place for 3 days. The smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming when we were told it’s a no smoking room so that was disgusting. Next the temperature of the room was just as hot as the 102 degree dry heat of outside. So we tried to change the room three times and practically walked around the entire place several times with all the rooms having something wrong with them. Finally we chose a room downstairs (I recommend not choosing one upstairs heat rises people, no matter how much you crank up the AC) and also found that the refrigerator does not work… cherry on top right!
The pool and jacuzzi seems nice, the pool could use a cleaning and less pidgin feathers if you ask me. The only thing I liked was that the room was spacious and had an open floor plan and the receptionist tried to work with our room situation. Other than that I think I will never recommend this place nor will I ever return. What’s a Windemere?
