Business Owner

William Cleaveland has been practicing law since 1993 with emphasis on commercial litigation and regulatory matters. He is admitted to practice law in the Arizona State and Federal Courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He brings his background in litigation, regulatory matters and mechanical engineering to every issue he faces. Mr. Cleaveland received his Juris Doctorate degree from Arizona State University, graduating magna cum laude, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1981 from Iowa State University with memberships in Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma engineering honor societies. Currently, Mr. Cleaveland is an Executive Director and Vice President of the Small Business Alliance in Gilbert, Arizona. He serves on the Alliance’s Free Enterprise Committee working for small business interests in local government. He served as a member of the City of Tempe Board of Adjustment, and he volunteers as a service-​dog handler.
