Our car was towed to Randy’s on Monday December 7 by Custom towing a service Randy uses. We chose to have it worked on by Randy because of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. Our transmission was acting up and found it was a sensor for the HHR. The auto shop was tops and customer service was great. Got our car back on Tuesday. We could have had our car towed by our insurance but they were towing to the nearest a dumb. So glad we had these reviews to go by. Very honest business, Integrity We are snow birds and they treated us like regular customers. Highly recommended

This place is the most honest place with good mechanics. I have used Randy’s Transmission for about 6 years for all my auto repairs and I will never use any other repair shop in the Mesa area.
I sold new and used autos for over 20 years in the Mesa area so I have heard many stories about shoddy repairs and service writers always doing an upsell. It got so bad someone was almost asked if they wanted to have the muffler belt replaced on a safety inspection.
Two weeks ago I stopped into another auto repair shop, Not Randy’s, and needed a quick repair on a seatbelt in the rear seat of my GMC that my customers were going to ride in the morning to view homes. This repair shop was very close to my work so I could walk to work before the repair was finished. They called me and said it would cost over $ 400.00 to replace the seatbelt mechanism. I told them I could replace the whole truck for around $ 5000.00 so why would I replace a seatbelt mechanism for 400.00. I think they thought they had a live one on the hook. They also tried to tell me I needed about $ 1400.00 in other repairs when I walked over to pick up my truck. I asked for a seatbelt repair in the back seat, what were they doing under my hood to fix a seatbelt? I am sure you understad what they were doing by now.
THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN WITH RUSS OR RANDY AT THEIR SHOP. THIS IS THE MOST HONEST REPAIR SHOP I HAVE USED IN THE 29 YEARS I HAVE LIVED IN MESA
Just a short add to my seatbelt story. I told my 20 year old Son about that shop not being able
to repair my seatbelt and the $ 400.00 cost for the replacement of the belt. He looked it up on Youtube and did the repair following the video to fix it and he is not a mechanic, just a college student.
Randy’s is the best and thanks for the great repaires you have done on my 3 autos. I recommend this place to all my friends and customers.

I first went to Randy’s when the transmission went out on my Toyota Camry. They gave me a quote which was similar to many others that I had spoken to. As they performed the work they informed me that the price a few hundred bucks less than quoted. They completely rebuilt my transmission quickly and I have been running on it for over a year now. Since then I have returned for several other repairs and they always do quality work. The staff is friendly and helpful, they also will show you what exactly is wrong with the car. Great place to go for any minor or major auto needs

I have a 1995 BMW 540i that I took to a BMW «certified mechanic» with transmission issues. I was told my transmission was «totally shot» and I would need a completely new transmission with a $ 5000+ price tag. I found RANDY’S TRANSMISSION, worked with Russ. (AMAZING MAN) They actually took it all apart, not just hooked it up to a machine and found I DIDN’T need a completely new transmission and my bill was more than half LESS than the so called «certified mechanic». My baby is running really strong and shifting like a dream. I wont take her anywhere else! THANKS SO MUCH RUSS and all the guys at the shop.

I live in Florida and I used my Suburban to pull a heavy trailer to Vegas. The transmission overheated and became ruined as I pulled the hills into Phoenix. I took it here and dealt with a gentleman named Russ. He fixed it and my total bill was much less than his original estimate.
Also prior to him fixing it, my Suburban had an annoying vibration that nobody seemed to be able to fix. I had another Suburban before buying this one and it also had an annoying vibration. So after Russ fixed it now there is no more annoying vibration — and that isn’t even what I brought it in for.
Also, whatever he did improved the fuel mileage. I used to be able to go about 4 hours on the interstate, without pulling a trailer, on a tank of fuel. Now I can go 6−½ hours on a full tank.
Also, the transmission he fixed works good I drove to Vegas and then back to Florida w no problems.

Highly recommend Randy s Transmission Shop. The transmission went out the day before I was to drive it to California pulling a trailer on vacation. I looked them up on Unilocal and was impressed with all the rave reviews and called them up. They have a 24 hour turn around and could take our truck in right away! They had a transmission in the shop. They did what they said they would do for exactly the price they quoted we were on the road on vacation without delay. A straight up bunch of guys. No bullshit!

Took my truck here after I was quoted $ 3800 for a rebuild. They did it for less than half, finished quickly, and my truck is driving great. Hands down would recommend.

Outstanding! Took my car there on a recommendation and was not dissapointed. Worked with Russ, told him I needed an honest opinion as to whether or not it was worth it to fix my car. He gave me my options and was very up front with me about the condition my car was in. Ultimately I opted to not have my car repaired and sell it instead… but I will be coming back for my future maintenance and repairs. So refreshing to feel like I have finally found a competent and honest mechanic!

My family has been going to these guys for many years because they are good at what they do and HONEST! That is obviously a very nice quality to have in a mechanic.

My son had an unknown issue with his transmission in his 1998 Jeep Cherokee. We got a recommendation to a shop in Tempe. The vehicle was towed there and after some time they said it would need a full rebuild for a rate that seemed quite high. I did not trust the quote and had the truck towed to Randy’s Shop. So glad I did, Randy and the staff gave a much more reasonable quote and completed the rebuild for the price they anticipated. I now have a whole new outlook on the industry thanks to Randy’s honesty and integrity. I highly recommend Randy’s if you want an experience that doesn’t leave you guessing or confused. Randy and his crew did a great job doing the maintenance on my truck. I was in and out in an hour. This will be my new regular shop.

Absolutely THE most honest mechanic you’ll ever go to. I always take my vehicle here and recommend them to everyone. They do not cheat you, offer you a great price, show and explain what you need done and why. Randy and Russ are very honest people. They never «recommend» having work done that I do need.

Randy’s is highly recommended. After purchasing and (subsequently breaking) a specialty tool, necessary for a repair, a friend recommended Randy’s and they got us out of a bind. They were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They had us in and out in no time.
