Nails 20/20

I went into ²⁰⁄₂₀ nail salon 2 weeks ago got a pedicure and eyebrows waxed. Pedicure was great. The eyebrows not real happy. Made an appointment to get gel nails done. Went in yesterday the manager that speaks very good English did my nails. She did them in ½ hr. She told me oh they won’t chip. Well today (next day) the whites are all chipped. She did a terrible job. When getting ready to pay she says you got cash for me. How rude. Will never go back and will tell all my friends.

Went in for mani/​pedi. The pedicure was pretty good, the technician did a decent massage of my feet & legs, which is very important to me. Polish looks nice. My only complaint on pedi is… my heels are just as dry as they were before I went in. They don’t offer hot wax treatment, the oils that are in the wax always helps with my dry heels. They did do callous removal with the pedicure I chose, still didn’t make a difference. The mani was ok, cleaned up my cuticles, nails look clean (I choose to have clear polish on fingernails), but the massage part of the mani was non-​existent. That was disappointing to me also. Staff seemed friendly though… wish they offered hot wax treatment.

So I just got my nails done at ²⁰⁄₂₀ and I’m not too happy. I went with my sister who got the same thing I did and my cousin who got her acrylics filled. We had an apt we called ahead for. The guy who did my cousin was amazing! He was nice and did her nails very well. The ladies who did my sister and i’s nails were subpar. First the lady didn’t even ask if my sister wanted hers colored or if she wanted a manicure so she instead only colored hers, didn’t even clip her long nails and never once talked to her even to tell her that she was done. Then the lady who did mine was very sweet and quiet but she didn’t do a good job. I accidentally told her I wanted color didn’t say manicure so I got what I had said so my fault but the color doesn’t reach all sides of my nails on any ends, the tips are horrible (can see patches) and I felt like it was rushed. I never saw my lady again either after she finished painting my nails. It was like after they realized we all didn’t have acrylic nails that they were disappointed and didn’t care to do a good job.

I am on break and wanted to get my nails done while I was home. I can here with two other girls and it was very wonderful and relaxing. There were a lot of color options and they kept things clean!

I would NOT recommend this place for a pedi! I could’ve done a better job myself. Looks like a 2 year old painted my toes.

This place is very «eh.» to me. I called at 11am to see if they were busy, the lady on the phone said «no» & to come by, so I did. Well, they weren’t busy… They were SLAMMED. Long story short: after a series of moving chair to chair, it took 2.5 hours for the services I asked. A basic Manicure & Pedicure. A little extreme since the service provided was subpar. I think the worst part of my experience was when the cashier asked how much I’d like her to charge for the tip. I had every intention of tipping, but that seemed a little rude to me.

–They all converse to one another in Vietnamese the whole time. Which makes me feel like they’re mocking me.
–Slow/​Too much multi tasking going on

I love trying out new nail salons in my area. I had a coupon for a special they were running. 32.99 for fill and spa pedicure… not a bad deal. The décor is very nice, the spa chairs looked new and the nail tables looked kept. Tony my master nail tech did a great job. Didn’t rush my services and didn’t try to sell me the gel or the newest thing which instead of costing 19.00 it’s 35.00. I hate that. My spa pedicure was kinda of relaxing, loved the massage chair, but the big screen TV was dominated by their son so we all watched cartoons. I got the regular pedicure and no special services like hot rock massage were added. It was pretty basic. I know other salons in the area usually add that service as part of the basic package. It would of been nice if they offered water. All in all, I got exactly what I wanted and they did a great job.
