Specialties

We are a new concept piano retail store which offers quality instruments to families and first time buyers using a program called the «play period». The play period allows you to make a small monthly payment for a number of months while you try out the instrument. After your play period our customers can use 100% of their credit to purchase the piano (or any other piano we carry), return it, or continue month to month. At My First Piano, there is no risk to the buyer, no possibility of cold feet, no worry over piano quality, low cost and a big selection. Call us today at 480−970−5222. We would love to help you find the right piano.

History

Established in 2008.

We wanted to design a retail piano company where families and first time buyers could pursue a purchase without the pressure of having to decide right this minute which instrument to invest in. We are continually striving to make pianos more affordable and accessible for families and first time buyers because we have seen the huge benefit for kids and adults who carve out time to learn piano.

Playing piano is a coveted skill, it’s a lifetime hobby, and yes, it will make your kid smarter! Our «Play Period» terms now make it easier than ever for just about anyone to give it a shot.

So call us, e-mail us, fill out a form, yodel from a mountain top — just say the word and it will be our pleasure to come along side you in your mission to find the right piano.

Meet the Business Owner

Josh W.

Business Owner

My family has been tuning, rebuilding, moving, and selling pianos for 4 generations now. My First Piano is our newest endeavor, created with the goal of removing common obstacles facing piano shoppers in the 21st century.

I started playing piano when I was 17. My parents had just moved to the Dewey/Humbolt area in Northern AZ and without any sports, tv or friends to spend time with, I ended up studying piano. There was an old upright inside a wellhouse right in the middle of 10 acres of land and it had some teach yourself books in the bench — without much else to do up there, I spent a lot of time at the piano in that wellhouse.

I moved to phoenix a few years later to open the Washburn store at Dana park.

During that time the My First Piano concept started to take shape and over time, the idea became compelling enough for me to leave Washburn and pursue owning my own piano company. And My First Piano was born!
