Movers of the Valley

I know I’m not supposed to review a company i’m affiliated with. However, there’s a lot of negative publicity with this company. I’d like to change things into a positive light. I just started here, and recently just read the reviews on Unilocal.The business practices were terrible. That’s going to change. I understand that there were some individuals that worked here prior to me that were less than professional. more like tweeker scumbag thieves. well, as far as i can tell, they’re all gone. Pam is gone. I’l personally make sure your move is exactly as you want it to be. no hidden costs. no bullshit. I will not steal your stuff or damage it. well i’ll do my best to not damage anything and will wrap items like televisions, tables, and valuables in blankets and shrink wrap. at the end of the move, i’l ask you to look into the truck and visibly verify that al your belongings are out and that we’ve completed your move to your satisfaction. I will do so in a timely manner, without being late or getting lost. we all have smart phones nowadays, and google maps is a guarantee to not get lost. I didn’t give a 5 star rating because that would be a biased opinion. Anyway, My name is Chris. I’m a driver for the company. Ask for me and i’ll make sure you get the best move possible. no drugs, no stealing your stuff, and i’ll make sure it’s done in a quick and timely manner.

0 stars. I’m not even sure where to begin. I will sum it all up by saying the dodged me for three days, lied to me, broke my 700 dollar dresser and in the end I rented a uhaul truck myself to get my stuff out of their possession. Has anyone had any success taking this company to court. Dealing with this company was easily the worst experience of my entire life.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS — they showed up late, they wanted to leave early to catch Cardinals playoff game (to which I agreed) because they looked me right in the eye and PROMISED to show up next day to finish the move — did they? NOPE! When I called — the «dispatch» guy tells me he can’t locate them — then he proceeds to lie to me about the contract being «complete» — well — if the contract is complete and you charge an $ 80 «service fee» — yet only collected $ 40 (we agreed to pay other half next day) then how can you say the contract is complete? Folks — run the other direction — read the reviews and go with a different company — they don’t care about the business — they certainly don’t care about the customers and they couldn’t care less about their reputation. Shame on them.

My boyfriend booked this company for a move. He called the day before the move to confirm the reservation and they were unable to confirm a reservation even though he had a confirmation number. He was given the run around and told that they would return his call once they figured out what happened. He never received a follow up call. He was left without movers the day before his move to another city. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I’m devastated. First of all they showed up 2 ½ hours late. The cab area of the truck reeked like pot. Some of the furniture I had them move was brand new, solid wood, and expensive. I don’t think there was a piece that wasn’t damaged. They completely broke a drawer on my dresser. The company isn’t returning my calls to get this resolved. I’m freaking out because they required a payment of cash. I suppose they didn’t want a money trail.

I was shocked to see consistent one star reviews of this company. Perhaps I was lucky. If I had checked Unilocal beforehand I surely would have skipped them.
I called them at 5:00PM on a Saturday afternoon asking when they could move me. I didn’t have too much to move, just a 1BR apartment. They said they could be here Sunday at 8am. At 7:50 the next morning the truck was in the parking lot and they were getting their equipment ready. A two man team came in and assessed what needed to be done, and they immediately started working. They were courteous and professional, and I genuinely felt my satisfaction was their concern. They were careful with my belongings and ensured all my furniture was wrapped properly before they took it out. I had asked for a certain amount of time, and when they were almost done loading I asked if they wouldn’t mind bringing along a few more things. With no hesitation they said yes and began wrapping the additional items and loaded them.
They drove the truck like it was full of babies, and were done on schedule. The price I was quoted the previous day was presented to me when they were done. I couldn’t be happier. Maybe I just got a good crew. Tevita and his partner were excellent.

Honestly this company deserves 0 stars. The movers showed up 3 hours late, after my husband and I calling several times wondering their arrival. They were scheduled to be there at 8 am, by 1055 I was calling to other moving companies to see if anyone had anything available for the day. As I had just found someone who could, Movers of the Valley decided to show up. They stated two guys called out and thay is why they are late. It was two guys that showed up, one being a 20 something year old who only weight about 120lbs and the other being a 45 year old man stating he was between jobs (desk jobs) and that is why he is doing this. Needless to say neither of these «men» were qualified to move our things. As soon as they arrived one asked for a water and the other asked to use the restroom. It then took them 3 hours to pack our things in the 26 ft truck. We have 2 bedroom sets, a desk, futon, living rooms set and a kitchen table. My husband had to help them move the dressers down the stairs as they stood there pondering the best way to do it for 10 minutes before they got it moving down the stairs. They broke several things such as a drawer nob to a night stand, the post that holds my mirror onto my dresser, our kitchen table, and one of the pegs off of a dresser. My husband starting shutting doors in the house saying they were done and had to get going. Finally they arrived at the new house and were complaining about the heat, how one guy was doing more work than the other, etc. My husband and I started moving the things we could upstairs for them because at this point it has been over 4 hours already on the clock. Then I had my brother come to assist the men move things and get things done, which when he showed up and said he was here to help the men both said «thank god!». They refused to put our dresser upstairs, they stated we would have to take the banister off of the stairs. We told them to just leave it and go, that we would move the rest of the furniture upstairs ourselves because at this point we were paying them for 6 hours of moving!
These men were extremely untrained and unorganized, not to mention not physically in shape enough to be movers. The day was a horrifying 6 hours of watching these men struggle and break my things and talk very unprofessionally. It was unjust that we were charged for 6 hours of work due to these men being incapable of their jobs, and that they showed up at 11am whrn the heat is almost at its highest as opposed to 8 am when we had scheduled them.
DO NOT USE MOVERS OF THE VALLEY
We have called several times to complain and speak to someone with authority for the company and they state they will call us back and hang up and will not return any phone calls. We are debating calling the better business bureau.
If you use movers of the valley you will be very very upset that you did!

Where do I begin? My sons iPhone was stolen right out of my dresser! Please do not use this company. It’s a terrible feeling to know I hired these people thinking I could trust them and they straight up stole from me in my own home! Not to mention they overcharged me and a lot of my new furniture got pretty scratched up. I thought that’s why I was paying extra to have everything shrink wrapped! DO NOT use this company!

you would have to be an idiot to use this company!!! i should post a copy of my police report that states how the police officer found my samsung washer and dryer inside the owners home. my 27″ inch apple computer that a surprise offcer documented that it was on the truck was stolen!!! i had to get the surprise police involved, they got over on the surprise policer with their lies. but mesa police department caught them in the act of stealing!!! i am going to have the news reenact what happened.

I would not recommend this company. The initial assignment/​reservation went well. The company called to confirm the assignment. They were punctual and then the challenge began to move a two bedroom apartment. The items were already boxed ready for transport. There were two movers that took three and a half hours to transfer items from my apartment to the truck. An attempt to review the time frame with the movers and company owner were not received. By the time the movers got to my new residence they demanded payment before for the work. As one mover stated, my property was being held up, in hostage, until payment was received. Agree with the BBB review of F.

These guys deserve 0 stars, but sadly that’s not an option. Showed up a day late, went to the wrong place and damaged products. Then overcharged us and have taken months to get anyone to even talk to me about a partial refund. They still haven’t been able to tell me what’s going on with that… On top of it all, rude customer service the whole time. Avoid this place at all costs.

I used this company on 2÷28÷2015. They showed up 45 minutes late. They quoted the price and payment methods and then Angel said that I should pay his tip separate, just in case and he winked. The movers broke two items which they did not report to me. After being paid they came back and said they had undercharged by $ 40 when in reality they had undercharged by $ 10. They added $ 60 to my charges thereby overcharging my debit card by $ 50. I called the company and was told that they would look into it and call me back which they never did. I then wrote an email and got no answer. I am dissatisfied mostly because this is dishonest and also because they broke a large house plant and a frame to a painting but didn’t bother to let me know.

Worst company ever! Completely unprofessional. Destroyed my entire bedroom set and leather couch. I’ve been calling and calling for almost two months regarding the damages and no one will call back.

OMG, why did I not check these people out on Unilocal before I booked them?! EPIC FAIL.
I had booked Movers of the Valley to come to my house at 10:30 this morning. They gave me reservation #62 598. Miguel called me at 7:09 this morning, inquiring whether I was scheduled for 8 or 10:30. I told him 10:30.
At 10:30, no one came. I waited until 10:47 before calling Miguel back to see what was taking so long. He told me he was «on another job» and that I should call Tim at Movers of the Valley; he gave me the # 480−834−8000. So, I did, but Tim was not there. I spoke with some other guy, who sounded hopelessly confused. He told me he’d «get started on it!» Super.
At 11:25, I received a call from Reggie. He was on his way. Hooray! «What happened to you guys?» I asked. He had no idea. He «just got this job» he tells me.
I (stupidly) assume «on our way» means he’ll be at my house within about 30 minutes. But an hour goes by and still no movers. At 12:25, I called Reggie, but no answer, and his voicemail box «hasn’t been set up,» so I can’t leave him a message. I text him my gate code, so he has it when he arrives… which I assume will be momentarily.
But NO. No movers. I text him at 12:30 to ask «Are you almost here?» No reply. Then I send a text that says, «We will wait until 1. Then leaving.» Which I did. I left at 1 pm. Two and a half hours after they were supposed to arrive.
I finally hear from Reggie at 1:54. They’ve arrived! They’re now 3 ½ hours late. I told him he missed me; I’ve left. He actually says, «But you still need to move, don’t you?» Yes, I freaking do! But you’ve wasted my entire day! I’ll move another day. With another moving company, obviously.
Just heard from the owner of Movers of the Valley. He’s shocked and outraged! «This isn’t how we do business,» he says. But — as you can read from every Unilocal review here — this clearly IS how they do business. All. The. Time.
Unbelievable.

Terrible service! Used them last year and had two great guys move us in about 6 hours. Used them last month because we were pleased the first time. Showed up late… just moved two buildings over (in the same apartment complex… but smaller apartment)… One old slow man and one young kid (neither seemed like they knew what they were doing. Took them over 9 hours to move part of our stuff. They insisted that they move what was in the van (it was about ¼ full) and didn’t finish loading the last 6 boxes or so in the old apartment. At that point I told my husband that it was ridiculous to continue to pay them more at the pace they were going. Please don’t waste your time or money with them!!! (By the way… we had a small, two bedroom apartment… not much to move. Hope nobody else gets screwed over by them! Very unprofessional. Wanted us to fill out a survey about their service before they left… yeah, that’s not going to happen!

Ok every person needs to know about this Co. The owners name is Tony Alawy,. He is as crooked as they come, but has been on business since the early 80“S. His first and largest Co. was called Mesa Moving, he lost that Company in 1993 for not paying taxes. In later part of 1994 he opened another moving Co., it was called Modern Moving and Storage. He changed the name of that Company really quick after Fox 10 news set up 3 moving company’s to do a simple move. Modern Moving guys were caught stealing, drinking on the job and keeping items in the back of the truck that belonged to the house. That is when Tony changed the name to movers of the valley and All valley moving. He has been in trouble with the law so many times, Mesa police know him well. Look up his police record it is miles long. But he stays in business because his rates ate cheap like him. He used to decorate his whole entire house with people’s furniture when he had people’s furniture in his storage… This ma and Co., are BAD NEWS FOLKS. LOOK HIM UP GET TOGETHER AND PUT THIS GUY OUT OF BUSINESS

Sometimes we want to give people and businesses the benefit of the doubt, and give people second, third, fourth, even fifth chances.
So, my girlfriend and I booked Movers of the Valley to help her move to her new apartment.
Unfortunately, I suggest nobody ever give this company another chance again.
They never even showed up.
My girlfriend was in constant contact with Pamela, and what was divulged was that the movers that were supposed to help us got stuck longer than expected at the previous site, went back to the office, and refused to go back out for our appointment. She then proceeded to tell my girlfriend that she would try to get a hold of other movers in their company to get them over to help us.
Unfortunately, we never heard back from Pamela, even when my girlfriend called her twice to find out what was going on, only to not get a hold of them.
We had to scramble to find a last minute company to help us.
Things happen in life, and I understand that. But, with this many bad reviews, there is clearly no coincidences with this company.
Stay away.

In December, Movers of the Valley sent someone out to my house to access the damages of my property. The man that came to do the estimate kept saying «wow, I cannot believe the damage» «this may cost a lot». I was promised a follow up call within a week to schedule the repairs. Mid January, I received a message stating they would like to schedule a time to come pick up all the damaged furniture for repair! This company is crazy, would I really let them take my dining room table, dresser and security door? When I called back to tell them this, they promised to look into it and get back with me. That was six weeks ago. This company is a joke that is for sure.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are not accredited by the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and have an F rating with multiple complaints.

This past weekend a crew I had reserved was 1:30 minutes late, this was also only because the company brought in 2 guys on their day off because they double booked the crew scheduled to help me. If they hadn’t agreed to come in who knows how late they would have been if they would have even been able to help me at all. The whole situations reminds me of this scene.
