Mesa Health Improvement Center (MHIC) is a Medicare Certified Rehabilitation Facility that treats patients in need of physical therapy or respiratory therapy.
MHIC provides customized rehabilitation services unique to each patient that will best minimize pain and suffering. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art exercise and test equipment to assist patients with recovery and mobilization.
From initial evaluation through final discharge, the same caring therapist will work hands on with each patient. MHIC strongly believes in educating patients on symptom management and proper techniques. Patients will not only feel better, but they will learn what is causing their suffering and how to prevent further injuries.

Business Owner
Doug Anderson received his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington. His graduate studies were at Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas where he received his masters in physical therapy in 2002.
Anderson was hired as a physical therapist at MHIC right out of school. He helped the former CEO as an administrator as well as a full-time physical therapist. In November 2006, he purchased the clinic and fulfilled his goal of creating a highly educational physical therapy facility. Anderson’s vision is to have each patient who leaves the clinic at their highest functioning level and knowing that they received the best one-on-one care in the valley. The staff at MHIC understands this vision and guarantees that each patient will receive individualized attention and a tailored program that is unique to their diagnosis.
Anderson has been married for 17 years to wife, Erica, and they have four children.
