Gateway Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics

After moving we needed to find a new dentist and I read the reviews and chose Gateway Smiles over other local dentists because of their customer feedback on line. I am SO HAPPY to have found the reviews to be exactly my experience. I was treated with care, joy and respect. With cold sensitivity and nerve exposure, I was not looking forward to my cleaning but it was pain-​free and the best experience I have had in many years! The prices are great and the professional service was above and beyond. You do not mind paying more for excellence and in this case excellence is even at an affordable price! WE WILL BE BACK AND REFER OUR FRIENDS TO GATEWAY SMILES — without any hesitation!

I have been going to DR G. for about 7 years and have always been satisfied with his work. He and his staff are professional and friendly. I had a crown from over 5 years ago break and DR. G. replaced it at no charge, he definitely stands behind his work.

Went there and they did x rays and the office staff told me what it would cost 304. That I was saving 76. With the insurance I got in desperation never saw a dentist. If someone looked at the x rays they took you would have though they would have told me it was still infected I was in so much pain and had been dealing with it over 2 weeks. On disability I don’t have that kind of money… went back to genital dental to get more antibiotics and some pain relief… went another dentist comfort dental only to find out that the tooth was still infected like I didn’t know been in this body for 54 years and they can pull the tooth for 100.

I love this dental office. Everyone is always so kind and helpful, and Dr. Kristina Radovic is just wonderful! She makes you feel so comfortable and gives you the best possible experience and treatment while you’re there. I would recommend this office to anyone.

It has been several years since I have used this place, but I feel obligated to Unilocal about some generally positive experiences I have had in the valley. The doctor I saw for a few years here is no longer at the practice (Dr. Oates) but he was kind and had an easy going demeanor. I never felt that he was overselling me on anything. I got wisdom teeth extractions and that procedure went as smooth as silk. The payment plan offered by the office was decent, though all the promotional $ 50 off emails and mailings I constantly got were pretty useless.
I recommended this place to a relative even after I changed dentists because my experience was overall favorable. I’m afraid he didn’t love the place because they recommended solutions that cost money but were more likely to preserve his teeth and money is a big deal to him. I wasn’t present so I don’t know if Gateway refused to do what he requested or what. The reason I left is that my dental hygienist (who is no longer in the staff list) was unyielding about what procedures I needed and her recommendations were not confirmed by a second opinion.
In general, this place was clean, the discount plan was good, and the professional staff I encountered (dentist and oral surgeon) were really excellent. I hope that the current staff are maintaining that standard.

Gateway smiles is the best dental office. Kristina is absolutely the best hygienist. She is thorough and gentle.
Dr. G. And Dr. Walker are both professional, fast, gentle and considerate. I am so glad I found this dental office.

Horrible experience. I went to get my wisdom teeth out and was told I needed to make a $ 100 deposit to get my appointment set up. That’s perfectly fine but I was at no point told that I need to pay all $ 1400 up front before I have them taken out ! And on top of that they kept saying that my insurance did not sign me to their location even though I have been told by my insurance that everything is taken care of. Worst experience I have ever had to deal with. The only good part was the dental assistant that was talking to me in the room before my surgery. Other than that I will never come back to this place in a million years !!!

I have had terrible experiences with dentists in the past and its left me with anxiety ever since. I tried gateway smiles and was blown away at how attentive and personable they were to my needs and concerns. Both the phenomenal hygienist and the doctor made sure I was comfortable and checked in with me frequently throughout my procedures. I would recommend this dentistry to my friends and family, they’re wonderful.

I’ve been shopping around for a new dentistry that’s local to where I live and takes my insurance (EDS). After seeing the glowing reviews I decided to give this place a shot. I’ll have to concur with another ‘positive’ review. Overall, everyone here is nice, priced fairly, office music is great, modern, clean, and efficient. They did a great job making me feel comfortable. Kristina (hygienist) and Dr. Ledin did a great job and helped calm my nerves by explaining everything well. I recommend this dentistry.

Only my first visit, but it went great. I did some research on the internet before I made an appointment. I was very happy with my choice. From the office staff, to the dentist, all were a class act. Have scheduled future appointments.

So, I have gotten a checkup and two crowns done since my initial review and can honestly say I love Gateway Smiles more than ever!
While this is my first time using the «crown while you wait» method, it is not my first experience getting a crown and the difference is phenomenal. No gooey mess, no temporary crown and no follow up visit for final fitting. Just one easy visit, a little grinding, a few clicks of a camera and a short wait and you are out the door with a perfectly fitted crown. Magic.
As per usual the staff was fantastic from the second I walked in the door until the moment I left. The front desk may be the best staffed and friendliest I have ever encountered. I don’t think I waited more than 5 minutes on any of my last three visits.
I would like to call out the following three people:
Dr. William D. Elza: This guy is awesome and works fast. You can tell this is not because he is in a rush but rather because he SERIOUSLY knows what he is doing. Ask him about his pineapple plants!
Dental Assistant Kelli Jiminez: Ever been to a dentist were the assistant thinks they are working on a car or something? Kelli is careful and precise and gets the job done without any unnecessary roughness or clacking of instruments against your teeth. Super friendly and attentive
Hygienist Kristina Radovic: Besides the fact that my kids love her, Kristina has earned a place in my heart. Kristina truly takes her time during cleanings and does a thorough and excellent job. Ever work with someone who’s pride in what they do clearly shines through? Kristina is without a doubt one of those people.
Gateway Smiles really does understand that there is a person connected to the teeth they see and they honestly do care about both. I look forward to my next visit.

I love Dr. Elza and his staff — they are just awesome and treat me with amazing respect and cheerfulness. I have never enjoyed a root canal and crown until I visited Gateway Smiles. Is that crazy? I just had fun throughout the process, and can’t wait to get more teeth repaired. I feel like I have a team and advocates on my side now, and my dental health future is very bright.

Excellent. I came to Gateway Smiles after a poor experience at another dental office, crossing my fingers. I was so pleased to find competence, friendliness, efficiency and cleanliness. I actually enjoyed having two crowns placed. I’m relieved to have found an excellent office to recommend to others.

I am a snowbird and went to Gateway with a broken tooth. I was impressed with their technology, using CAD/​CAM to make a crown on the spot. I even watched their machine make the crown. Overall, I was very impressed and would recommend them highly.

Dr. G is terrific, he is very friendly and humorous. The entire staff was great, they all made me feel like a family member even though it was my first visit. If you are looking for a terrific dentist… heck even if you aren’t looking for a dentist you owe it to yourself to give Gateway Smiles a try.

My husband & I went in for the $ 59 cleaning & exam special. We were very happy with both. The office is very clean and the equipment is very up-​to-​date. The staff is very efficient and professional and friendly. Dr Oates was terrific. His proposals for additional treatment were clear, all questions answered. He explained all of the choices and the costs for each with no pressure to take the most expensive. We will definitely be back.

Dr Oates is our family favorite. We’ve been going to him for almost 3 years now. The kids are very comfortable with him They don’t fix cavities on children under 5 but they will do the checkup and cleaning.
My daughter has also recently got her braces on from the orthodontist in the office. The staff is fun and very helpful They do take a lot of insurances so you might want to check out your plan.

Let me start this review off by saying that, like most people, I’m NOT a fan of the dentist’s office… let alone dentists. After several years of avoiding the inevitable, I went to AZ to get a third opinion on my teeth and was amazed at the professionalism, capability and attentiveness of the Gateway Smiles team.
My doctor was Dr. Oates, and I was thoroughly impressed with his candor and knowledge for such a young dentist. In fact, it was a significant change from the tired, jaded dentists I’ve stuck with and made all the difference when he implemented modern techniques and youthful zeal to my visit. They were able to make a crown onsite (in under 35 minutes) and addressed two very dilapidated fillings. My mouth now feels 110% better than it ever has!
Being in Los Angeles I am surrounded by myriad dentists with tons of options, but if I can help it I will make the trip to AZ every year to visit Gateway. It is seriously worth it.
