History

Established in 2012.

Established in April of 2012, Elite Paw Spa has grown to a large following of loyal clients. Our groomers have over 30+ years combined experience in the grooming field. Owners Amy and Michelle Roman attend grooming competitions and seminars in Las Vegas and California to stay up on the latest trends in today’s pet grooming. We offer everything from AKC show cuts to everyday easy to maintain pet styles.

Business Owner

Sisters and owners, Amy and Michelle Roman, love owning Elite Paw Spa and serving both pets and their two legged owners alike.

Amy: Grooming for over 18 years, pets are her passion. Amy started her career at a local corporate salon working her way up from bather, to corporate trainer for the entire West Coast. Amy has competed in several grooming competitions, winning several of her classes including receiving her masters in Poodles and Long Legged Terriers. Come check out her trophies at your next appointment.

Michelle: Following in her sisters footsteps, Michelle’s love of animals is parallel to Amy’s. Also starting in a corporate salon, Michelle became a groomer, then manager and trainer at the local level here in the East Valley. She love competing in grooming competitions in Las Vegas and Burbank next to her sister.

Set up an appointment, and took in our Australian cattle dog, who was carrying his winter coat. The staff was friendly and all dogs in the shop looked happy. They gave Foxie the best bath and summertime haircut he has ever had, just in time for the June heat. He is now cooler and lighter, and the cut looks beautiful, with trimming around his ears and head. Once home he wagged his tail for 24 hours, because he was so happy to be relieved of all that fur. And they trimmed his claws, which he had been chewing on. We will definitely be back!

Took my small malitpoo in for the first time yesterday. Whomever answered the phone was very knowledgeable and kind. When I got there the staff was very thorough about what I wanted. The price is great, the facility is very clean, and everything all happens in one room where you can see it when you are a customer. We will be back!

Great place. Everyone very friendly. Open kennel area for dogs to play while waiting. I thought it would look cleaner or more spa feeling. But not bad or anything. I guess I was thinking more like a spa I would go to but it is just for pets. No need for too fancy. Good price and they came home clean and happy. I was super late and they had no problems waiting. They also threw in a free nail trim/​file! I will for sure be back. Just one question if anyone can answer and put it in the «tips». Am I supposed to tip them? Like I would tip a salon. Wasn’t sure if ppl tip the usual 10−20%. Thanks

First time taking my doggy to get groomed and he loved it! Super friendly staff, too. Picked my dog up after 2 hrs (he got play time when he wasn’t being pampered) and he looked GREAT!

Took Bichon in today. Regular customer. Not sure what has happened but quality and attitude have really gone down. Went in for regular grooming and they totally shaved him. He also can not stop itching. We will not be back!!!

Love Elite Paw Spa. Their free range play is perfect for our «only» child. I found them by accident and stopped in, I had been dissatisfied with Pet Smart so I was looking. When I walked in, if the dogs could speak, I think they would have said they were having fun. I always get a kick of it when you walk in all the dogs run to the front walk to see it it is their human.
Their grooming costs are less than Pet Smart, it is very clean, the staff is wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable.
Now I am using them for doggie day care when we are having work done on the house. Steeler comes happy and exhausted. Stop by and visit. You will get a smile out of the dogs.

Very satisfied. Took my nephew, Colt (Viszla) and the staff was kind and Colt was happy. Next day took my Sophie (mixed breed, long hair). She is a recent rescue and has been labeled as fearful. She was a little hesitant at first but did very well. The Groomer that checked us in stayed with her since Sophie had become comfortable with her. We got the basic cut and she looks great! I found their prices to be comparable to others. For me, location was the original deciding factor. Now, based on my experience with Elite Paw Spa, we will keep going back.

Been here twice ad the service is exceptional. I have been to several groomers that are less expensive but I have found you get what you pay for when it comes to pet grooming. The staff is always courteous and patient and our dog always looks great afterward. Happy customer.

Fabulous experience today with my dog Rebel. He typically dislikes having his nails done at the big name pet stores. Thought I would try a salon for him. He loved it. He got to play with the other dogs while waiting. He looked fabulous when I picked him up. He got the full treatment. Will definitely be back. I really like the play area for dogs. Wish I could give 10 stars.

I’ve only been here once so far, but location for me is great. Price is average compared to other groomers I have been to. Service was good and the time was also average.
The one thing that made me nervous at first was that they have an open environment where the dogs are put before/​after grooming while they wait. My dog didn’t have any problems but you never know in those situations so it just worried me a bit. If your dog isn’t good around other dogs I would suggest asking them kenneled.

I bring both my dogs to get a wash and sometimes just to play with the other dogs! The service is great the team treats both of my dogs very well and they are always happy to see them. Prices are great! I’m happy with the wash and wouldn’t want to go to another pet spa!

Rarely do you see a service business with all 5 star reviews. Our Newfoundland is about 9 years old and does not particularly enjoy going to the groomer. We went through many mobile groomers that simply just didn’t come back before we were finally told she’s a biter when her legs or rear are getting worked on. We never knew this about her. We explained to the owner about her history, and she told us it would not be a problem. We have taken her there now several times and she always turns out great and we don’t get any bad reports other than sometimes she doesn’t get trimmed down to the toes, she had just had enough. and we understand… I’ve tried and she is stubborn!
I’m getting ready to take her in again and thought I would just take a quick peek at Unilocal to see what other people thought, and I am very pleased!
We are also glad to give a 5 star rating!

We take our Bulldog, Chuck, here for grooming and nail clipping, have been for many months now.
They always do a great job. He smells great. Nails are done right. No complaints whatsoever!
When it is time to take him, we ask him, «Do you want to see your friends?» and he knows exactly where he is going. He starts wagging like crazy and searching for the person with a leash. He reacts better for this than, «Do you want to go for a walk?» And he loves walks.
He stays for a couple hours, so it even gives us a little time to do some of the things he makes it difficult to accomplish.
Everytime we pick him up, they tell us that he had a blast and it shows. He is exhausted for the rest of the day, playing hard.

I’ve been taking my Pomeranian here for about over a year now, and couldn’t be more happy with the end results every time! No matter who gives him his haircut, it always comes out amazing! Their prices are great, and the staff is super nice! Family owned which is another great factor. Plus I love when I pick up or drop off my dog I get to see all the other dogs playing rather them be put in a cage. I will for sure recommend this place to anyone!

My dog is my baby. I’m very, very particular about people taking care of my dog. It’s not that I’m picky about the cut or anything, I just don’t like my dog to be caged up for hours, or pay extra so that he doesn’t have to do that.
The paw spa was very clean, everyone was really nice, and the dogs look happy to just be let loose running around the store with the other dogs. They are all kept behind a secure gate. They actually did do a very good job on my dog too. I will be using paw spa from now on.
