AZ Tree Trimmer

I have used AZ Tree Trimmer/​Grant many times. They do outstanding work and at a very reasonable price. I believe their reputation and quality of work is the leading contributor to the delays some have experienced with response time. If they provided poor service, they would not be in such high demand.
I am surprised by the customers who complain that trees were not cut to the customers requested specifications. I can assure you that AZ Tree Trimmer knows exactly how each type of tree should be trimmed/​thinned. Grant and his crew trim more trees in a day than most of us in a lifetime. I tend to look at the review history of those that provide negative reviews. I think you will see a trend of negative feedback with few positive in this case.
AZ Tree Trimmer (Grant/​Alex) were at my home today and trimmed multiple trees. They have never looked better. I would not use anyone else.

This is definitely the worst landscaping company I have ever dealt with. It started off nicely as they got me a quote promptly and they had a very competitive price but it was all downhill from there.
Firstly, they don’t show up when they say they will and they do not call or e-​mail to tell you this. I suppose this should have been the first sign of trouble but I kept being patient with them and they finally did show up one day.
The next problem was they didn’t trim the trees in the manner that I specifically asked for in writing. What made this even worse is on their own website they say that trimming in the way they did my trees «can cause added stress to the trees». Fortunately, I arrived home and they had only butchered four of the ten trees.
The last problem was their clean-​up was atrocious. They did take about 80% of the debris away but when you have 10 trees being trimmed, leaving 20% of the waste behind is a lot of stuff for me to pick up! My pool looked like a storm had hit but it was all large items that would have been easy to simply pick out if they weren’t so sloppy and lazy. I cleaned up my yard and pool myself because it needed to be done right away. The alleyway behind my house was also a disaster area and I complained about that. It took them a month to claim that they had come to take care of that but I have before and after pictures that show the exact same piles of stuff in the alley. So on top of doing a horrible job and never returning to fix things they lie about returning to fix things. They did give me a price break but that was only because I refused to pay for the work that was done wrong or wasn’t done at all.
Don’t use this company but if for some reason you do, do not pay in advance or you may be sorry when they don’t show up/don’t do the job right/​leave a mess behind etc. In retrospect I would have been happy to pay more to a company that would have done things correctly rather than me having to spend half a day cleaning up after them and the stress of having to deal with dishonest people.

I hired AZ Tree Trimmer to do a clean up on a vacant property and also to remove two large stumps. They were friendly, approachable and most importantly reasonably priced. They did the work timely and efficiently. Grant and his team do good quality work and I am more than happy to support local businesses like his again!

Awful. They quoted me a price over the phone that was substantially higher than the one listed on their website, but price isn’t everything. Set up an spot 4 – 5 days ago for today at 7am. It’s been over an hour and no one has shown up. I’ve called and texted them, no response. Very bad business. Go with someone else.

I found these guys using Thumbtack and I’ve had the worst experience imaginable. Before being contacted by them I had utilized 2 other companies who did a great job the first time, then did about half the work and collected their pay on future visits. Needless to say, I was very nervous hiring a new company having been burned by laziness and dishonesty in the past. JC was the one who came to my property for my initial quote, and he promised me the company was very professional and would take care of all of my trees, palms, bushes, and weeds. However, when I came back into town after agreeing to have them come out I noticed that they had cleaned up my weeds and leaves, and trimmed my bushes in front, but did no work to any of my other trees, any of my palms, and various other plants on my property. I have a total of about 15 various plants and trees and they took care of 1 thing!
In my frustration I reached out to Roman Galas to resolve the problem. Roman assured me that they would send a crew out to trim everything that was missed. The crew came out and trimmed two more trees and left my property without taking care of any of my palms or other plants that were promised to have been taken care of in the initial clean up. 2 times a crew came to my property (unsupervised) and they still couldn’t do an entire job! How dishonest!
Now they are trying to charge me for an initial cleanup and for a maintenance visit! Unreal! I told you that continuing to work with you was contingent on you FIXING THE PROBLEM. Instead, you send a crew out and STILL DON’T complete a full job and then try to charge me for it.
I also requested a call from the owner and have received 0 correspondence. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

I used AZ Tree Trimmer to remove a large eucalyptus tree. This was a technical removal, the tree was between my house and my neighbors house and was right on our shared block wall. There was limited access and a chance of property dammage. AZ tree trimmers gave me an extremely competitive quote, were very responsive and had good communication, and completed the work fast! Very pleased with their service. During the tree removal process, minor property dammage did occur with the block wall. Az tree trimmer was very honest and upfront with the dammage and took care of the repair. I will definitely work with this company again and recommend these guys to anyone in need of tree removal!

I’m surprised to see negative reviews. Grant booked my tree trimming around my schedule. Crew showed up 15 minutes early. They were professional, reasonably priced and did a great job. I recommend AZ Tree Trimmer.

needed 2 palms trimmed and needed done asap, called yesterday (¹⁰⁄₃) came out same day for quote and job was done this morning (¹⁰⁄₄). showed up when they said they would.

I called this company because they actually had someone answer the phone (rather than just another place to leave a voice mail message). An estimate appointment was set up quickly and the estimator (Grant) showed up on time. He seemed like a nice enough guy. I shared with him I wanted three things done to the two trees in my yard: thin out the trees, decrease the canopy diameter and leave some of the lower branches on one tree to retain the visual barrier between my and my neighbor’s yard. The quote he gave was the highest of the three that I got for this job, but I was so hoping that I’d get what I paid for.
No such luck. The trees were trimmed the next day (Grant was not on site). The trees were thinned nicely, but the other two requests were not fulfilled. I called the provided cell number a few times and the call was always forwarded to an answering machine. The office gal eventually called back and said that someone would be out in a few days to actually do the work I paid for. I was very clear in that I wanted to be there when the second crew arrived.
Two days later, I get a call from the trimming crew (not even the same one that initially came out and no Grant, either) to say the work was done. I was less than pleased. I got home to find the visual barrier branches were gone (hi again, neighbors!) and branches remained that touched other surrounding trees.
I left a voice mail message for them on Sunday. My message shared my frustration but was professional and left them with opportunity to contact me with how they were going to try and make this right. I waited Monday, Tuesday and today… and nothing. No call to discuss. I feel like I have little recourse except to share my frustration in a public way and hope that someone else avoids the frustration I felt in dealing with this company.
Bottom line, you do NOT get what you pay for and good luck trying to get in touch with someone once they have your money.

An hour late, no call at all. Called vendor when appointment time passed, no response. Did not do business with them. The next day the sales person (Grant) emailed me repeatedly to tell me he didn’t know what time the appointment was and to argue that expecting a call from them or for them to be on time was an unreasonable expectation.
