We’re accomplished veterans at diagnosing and treating such eye-related problems as glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, dry eyes, convergence insufficiency, computer vision syndrome, amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed/turned eye), allergic conjunctivitis, diplopia, cataracts, keratoconus, and a host of other maladies. History
Established in 1974.
Dr. Newth established the University Eye Center in Mesa at 1809 East University Drive in 1974, and he and his wife Joan have been prominent fixtures in the community for decades.
Dr. Yanofsky was an associate in a successful New Jersey practice before moving west and teaming with Dr. Ronald Newth.

Business Owner
A Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, he completed a rigorous candidacy process, submitting extensive written work and passing an oral examination before a panel of leading optometrists and vision specialists. Only one of every 10 optometric physicians has passed these comprehensive tests, and Dr. Yanofsky is proud to number himself among this select group.
Dr. Yanofsky received his undergraduate Science degree from the Pennsylvania State University and his optometric degree from Salus University’s well-regarded Pennsylvania College of Optometry. During his externship training, he was awarded clinical honors from the Eye Institute of Philadelphia, completed a research paper on the Softperm contact lens, and was mentored by Dr. Robert Morrison, a renowned optometric pioneer, researcher, and teacher.
