Athens Gyro

A pleasant surprise. We needed to eat somewhere fast because we were trying to catch a movie so we hit the mall food court. I was pleased to see something a little different from the normal fast food offerings.
I ordered the Shish Tawook (Chicken) dinner platter with Salad, Hummus, and Rice. The chicken was moist and flavored exceptionally well. The hummus was very good — garlicky and the perfect consistency. The salad was fresh as well. The only negative was the rice. I am not sure if I got the rice at the bottom of the pan or if it wasn’t cooked enough but it was crunchy. I also had a Mint Lemonade to drink which was very refreshing.
Overall, everything I had was good, fresh, and flavorful. I am deducting a star for the rice, but will adjust my review after my next visit.

Love this place. They have Gyros that are to die for! They also have a great greek salad, excellent baklava, and superb spanakopita. I’ve actually loved everything that I’ve tried here. Great prices too! An A+ all the way!

The Best Greek in town!!! To awesome to be in a mall food court. I see a restaurant in their future. Had the Gyro and Spanakopita (spinach pie). They were so yummy. Tender juicy meat and very flavorful food. Authentic and great service.

The Lamb Gyro is huge but we had extremely slow service. Apparently there was a large order in ahead of us so they apologized and gave us free baklava for our troubles. The gyro was very good and I will be back.

Athens Gyro is located it the Merritt Square food court near Sbarro’s. This place is cranking out some delicious chicken gyros and falafel pitas. The chicken is tender, moist and flavorful, and the falafels are a nice vegetarian alternative.
I don’t care for malls or mall food courts, but the food here is good enough to make me come inside and order. Give it a shot.
I heard the owners mention that they will be opening a new location across the street from the Dinosaur store in Cocoa Beach. I look forward to the new addition.
