Tye’s Top Tour & Travel provides group and individual custom vacation packages around the globe. We are one of the few New England companies that has driver/​guide services. We provide first class day tours throughout New England in luxurious style with our custom Mercedes Sprinter passenger van. With seating limited to 13, these tours assure you a pleasurable way to sightsee New England.

History

Established in 1992.

Tye’s Top Tour & Travel was founded in 1992 by Mel Tye. He has worked in the industry since 1996 and after working for large tour operators for many years he felt he could bring new ideas to the market place. Tye’s Top Tour & travel is one of the only tour Operator’s in the North East where all management is either a Certified Tour Planner or Certified travel Industry specialist. We have been to the places you want to go and provide the customer with first hand destination knowledge.

Tye’s Top Tour & Travel was founded in 1992. The company not only is tour operator but a receptive tour company as well. The company specializes in custom tours for small groups. Tye’s Tours is a member of the American Bus Association and the National Tour Association and is an approved tour operator for the China inbound program. The management of Tye’s Tours all hold designations of Certified Tour Planners or Certified Travel Industry Specialists. We are not your Grandmas Tour Company but a tour company that creates unique travel experiences with flexible dining options.

Mel Tye has worked in the travel industry since 1976. He holds a BS in Hotel Travel Management, from U Mass., A BA in International business from the University of Bath, a graduate of the Travel School of America, an MBA in Entrepreneurial management. He is a CTP/​CTIS and is qualified as a destination specialists from Australia to Disney.
