Love the store and their website. Great selection. When I called with a question I got the owners on the phone and they were very patient with me. Highly recommend.

For the celebration of Sukkot, which is a harvest festival in Judiasm, a lulav and etrog(sort of like a lemon) are used for one of the rituals to reflect Ancient Israel’s customs as it was an agricultural society. For every Sukkot, I have returned to Yussel’s as it is not far from where I live and has high quality lulavs and etrogs at a reasonable price with friendly service. I had the pleasure of going to Yussel’s yesterday as I had to pick up the lulav and etrog I ordered a week before on the phone, which went smoothly. After parking on a nearby street in Merrick, I entered Yussel’s, where a very friendly and personable lady, who I believe was one of the owners, greeted me upon my entering the store. As I went over to the counter, I could not help but notice all of the items they had for sale, like toys, books, and other judaica items. At the counter, I gave the lady my last name and she had the lulav and etrog ready for me, which were very high quality and priced fairly at about $ 39 in change. It did not take long for her to process my transaction and I was soon on my way after we bid each other«Chag Sameach»(or Happy Holiday in Hebrew). Overall, I would definitely return to Yussel’s Place as the service is excellent, the prices are fair, and the selection of judaica is excellent!

When visiting from Florida I always try to make stop at Yussel’s in Merrick. The store is just chock full of Judaica but the real jewel here is the book collection. Friendly people, shipping available, as well as special ordering.
