The Urgency Room

This is absolutely the best urgent care I have ever been to. I went here on Friday after work because I had a migraine. They have a thing where you can check in online. I didn’t have to wait at all. Both the NP (Amanda) and the nurse (I can’t remember his name) were extremely kind and knowledgeable, and they actually listened to me when I described what was going on. I got a shot for my migraine, and I feel so much better.

I used to use urgency room all the time. But will never go again. The last time I went, I was very sick and got there 20 min before they closed. The door was already locked and the girl at the desk said that the computer was down and to go somewhere else. When I called the next day they said there was no problems w the system the night before. Today I was the first one there and waited 40 min listening to the nurses talk about their private lives and scheduling issues w other nurses before I finally gave up and left. As a business owner I was appalled by this experience and will be sure to tell all of my clients and everyone else to avoid this place. Extremely disappointed.

I took my son in to get checked. I am not too dissatisfied with my service but a few things irritated me. First off the front desk girl was rude. She advises we needed to pay the whole bill after we were seen which I thought was unusual for urgent care. At the time I had forgotten about my HRA account and that would cover it but they probably still would have made me pay. I was not going to pay the 150 she requested, I asked if there was a minimum and she said we would just have to put something down. Later after the visit she told my bf that we had to pay again, he offered 15 and she replied we usually ask for at least 25. Why did she tell me different earlier? I should have gotten a receipt since we gave her cash, so hopefully I get refunded since my insurance and HRA covered it. The MA that helped us was super nice no complaints here. The doctor was nice the only thing was I had to pry questions instead of her explaining what was going on and why and how to prevent the issue in the future. It was kind of like here’s your prescription take it and have a nice day. Overall they got the job done and my boy was taken care of, it was just a little too uppity for me. Snobby you could say, just expect to pay when you go, minimum of 25.

I was suffering from a bout of strep throat, feeling near death when someone suggested I go to the Urgency Room which, based on my insurance company’s website, appeared to be covered. The nurse practitioner was pleasant, the wait was reasonable, and the lobby and rooms clean and nice. The reason for my low rating is based on cost. I specifically asked the person at the reception desk whether or not I would be responsible for anything in addition to what I had paid (my co-​pay) with the insurance and confirmed with her that I would not receive a bill in the mail later, as it’s happened before. I was assured that the amount that I paid that day would be all I was responsible for. I bet you can guess what happened.
On top of the unexpected bill, I was prescribed two medications that I found out at the Walgreen’s counter added up to $ 95 when a prescription with a much cheaper generic would have done the trick. I’m really disappointed and won’t be back or be recommending this place. I guess I should have asked for a prescription with a generic and if I hadn’t been so miserable, I would have returned to the Urgency Room to request one.

I took my son to Urgency Room on a Saturday morning. The facility was very clean and welcoming for children. We were seen quickly. Nurse practitioner Pam was excellent with my son. They didn’t try to sell me anything extra and I was able to take the script to fill at our regular pharmacy. I’ve been to other convenience care centers and I wasn’t impressed. I’m very satisfied with Urgency Room and we definitely go back.

This evening (Friday!) around 5 I visited the Urgency room for the first time. You would think there would be a long wait as everyone gets off work, but I was seen almost as soon as I finished my paper work. The waiting room was very comfortable and welcoming. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. A nurse came in right away, took care of me, and let me know there were one or two patients in front of me. Not even 10 minutes later Dr. Shafe came in. He was so friendly, personable, and very thorough. He took exceptional care of me and all my needs. They even filled my prescriptions there quickly, and for a very reasonable price! I wish he could be my primary care physician! Thank you so much Dr. Shafe and staff!

I went here with what I suspected to be a broken hand because I was functioning enough that I didn’t want to go to a hospital, but I wanted a one-​stop place to get X-​rays as well as see a doctor. I was very pleased at the level of care I was given. I was in and out in under an hour, which included receiving 3 x-​rays. The doctor on staff even made me a splint out of the casting material so I wouldn’t have to buy a brace and could still remove it to shower and cook. I went back after 3 weeks to get a new smaller split, customized by the doctor to fit my small hand, to wear for the remainder of my recovery. This was free of charge! I will gladly go back.

Dr. Price was great! Very sweet & educated me to my understanding on what was going on.

Went in during the normal lunch hour of a normal workday and really didn’t have to wait that long. The entire staff from the assistant who greeted me to the doctor who treated me were pleasant and upbeat. Felt 10 times better and was breathing with no issues when I left. Quick diagnosis after some questions and paperwork brought from the clinic at CVS. I was impressed with the Urgency Room. Thank you!

Tremendous urgent care facility. Today, I went in a few minutes after 9am and was home after picking up meds at my local pharmacy by 10:30am.
The bottom line is that the folks at the Urgency Room are friendly & extremely professional. The facility is convenient and top notch. They listen, focus on fixing the problem and get patients in & out efficiently. Great service without the usual medical facility wait and aggravation.
This was my second visit. I heard about the Urgency Room from my son-​in-​law. My wife and daughter have also been treated by the Urgency Room with similar great results.

From out of town and very impressed. Went in because of a sinus infection and there was no waiting. Was out in less than 15 minutes with my medication! Thanks guys for helping a sick salesman who is far from home!

Extremely impressed!!! Awesome facility with great staff! First time there, paperwork filled out and was seeing the PRN in 15 minutes. Highly recommend!

Seriously impressed. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes, but not because Lezlee Price wasn’t thorough — she was, very. (And friendly and reassuring to boot :) I’m really big on researching my own healthcare concerns, and often this results in medical personell treating me as though I’m a «WebMD hypochondriac,» but there was none of that nonsense here — to the contrary, I was praised for being pro-​active about my own health. The staff was efficient and professional in both manner and appearance. In addition to a prescription to treat the complaint I went in for, I was sent home with medication to prevent and/​or treat a certain uncomfortable condition that often arises when we ladies take antibiotics, which was greatly appreciated — I’ve had more than one physician insist that if said condition arose during the course of treatment, I’d need to come in again to receive the additional prescription (and rack up another office visit charge, no doubt). Walk-​in clinics shouldn’t be relied upon for serious or complicated conditions, of course, and one shouldn’t expect a full work-​up at these facilities — -but for after-​hours care or minor ailments, they are a blessing, and the Urgency Room is far and away the best one I’ve been to.

I used them because I just moved to the area and don’t have a regular doctor yet. It was completely empty when I got there so I didn’t wait long. However everyone seemed pretty apathetic. They were not dressed professionally for being a urgent care center. The doctor prescribed me more medication than I needed in case I «got sick again.» There were signs taped everywhere trying to sell flu shots, screenings, etc. I decided to get my prescription filled there. The nurse went into a small room and came out with the drugs. I have no idea if she is certified to be a pharmacist. A couple weeks later I received a bill for the visit although I thought I had paid for it then. They charged me an extra $ 40 because I came in the evening after work (about 5:30pm). I will not be visiting again.

Waited 40 minutes until they called my name, even though there was no one else in the waiting room. Family Feud was blaring through the waiting area… loud! «SURVEY SAYS!» I was seen by a nurse practitioner wearing jeans. I thought she was the cleaning lady when she first walked in. Spent 5 minutes with me, sent me on my way with no instructions, only a copy of the consent to treatment form. I had come here because Urgent Care had gotten so bad, but I guess I have to go back to those quacks since these quacks are even worse. Not only did they not know what they were doing, they didn’t even act like they cared about what was wrong with me. Adiós, cleaning lady/​nurse practitioner.

Arrived before the doctor got in. It was snowing a bit that day. Waited less than 5 minutes to be seen and I was the 2^nd patient that day. The doc wore an workout outfit (which didn’t look professional or appropriate for the setting) and treated me very promptly and professionally.
