Artistic Cosmetic Solutions is the Northwest’s première center for Permanent Makeup and Medical Tattooing. All procedures are performed by Dr. Laura Reed, an Optometric Physician who is Board Certified in Permanent Cosmetics. She was named «Best of the West» for her tattooing artistry and her procedures are nearly painless. Safety is Dr. Reed’s top priority and she follows CDC-​OSHA guidelines using state-​of-​the-​art equipment and hypoallergenic pigments. History

Established in 2006.

In 2006, Dr. Laura Reed opened her permanent cosmetics practice in Orange County, California. Her interest in the field began in 2003 when she had her own permanent makeup done (eyebrows and eyeliner). While chatting, she told her technician Heather that she was tired of working for others and wanted to do something new. Heather asked, «What do you like to do?» Laura answered, «As an artist, I love making beautiful things or making things more beautiful.» Heather said, «You should do this! We need more people like you to raise the bar… plus an artist who is also a doctor is a perfect combination!» Heather recommended a top school for training and the rest is history. In December 2011, Dr. Reed moved to Idaho from California and her practice reopened in February, 2012, in Caldwell. In February, 2013 she moved her office to a more convenient location in Meridian where it is today. After moving to Idaho, nearly all reviews have been filtered to «not recommended» so please read those too.

Dr. Laura Reed has been a lifelong artist, makeup artist, and Optometric Physician since 1985. For years she worked for contact lens and pharmaceutical companies, so never had her own eye care practice. In 2006, she opened her permanent cosmetics practice and loves it. She enjoys helping others with her artistic talents and spending quality personalized time with her patients. Dr. Laura is dedicated to being a leader in this field winning «Best of the West» awards for permanent makeup artistry. She has earned two international certification credentials: Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional (CPCP) and Fellow in the American Academy of Micropigmentation (FAAM). She has contributed to two books: Surviving Beautifully and the Permanent Makeup Manual. She does intermediate and advanced training and is a consumer safety advocate.
