I had my vehicle serviced and I am overly satisfied with the service, care and honesty that I received that I returned for another repair on my vehicle and don’t want to take my vehicle any where else to be repaired. They are prompt and considerate especially that I got my vehicle in as soon I got there and drop of a dime. This type of service is hard to find and I deeply thank you.

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Dont walk RUN! I wish i could give no stars Dave is a complete rip off. Dave swindled me in when i had problems with my first car saying dont worry about paying we can do a payment arrangement. ok thats great as i was a teen low on cash. after he «fixed» my car months later it broke down. I got tired of bringing it to daves shop giving him all of my money so i got a new car thinking i wasnt going to have to deal with mechanical issues anymore. Of course, not but with this car i wasnt as stressed because i had an extended warranty. So i kept bringing my car back time after time untill i finally realized the problem wasnt my cars it was him! he just wanted me to keep me coming back spending my money. i would drive down the street and the check engine light would come back on. Dave lied and said my warranty company would not pay for my car to get fixed which was a complete lie because they paid another mechanic with no problem. he just didnt want to deal with them because he didnt know how to do the work. Once i went to another shop my car hasnt had any trouble whatsoever

Damsels in distress, two friends and I rolled into D&D Transmission with a problem, the muffler dragging under the car. The good folks at D&D took care of us right away even though it was time to shut the shop on a lovely Saturday afternoon. They truly went beyond the call of duty by also replacing the rear brake light, which was burnt out. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We were on the road again in no time and off to our Saturday adventure.

Found this place through Unilocal.It was quite a distance from my house in Southington but worth the trip.
The owner was a down to earth nice guy that did as much as he could for my car but unfortunately the transmission had died and it would have cost too much to fix the 12 year old car. He even offered to buy it but we declined. If you need your transmission fixed or any other service for your car I highly recommend this place!!!

Not from the area and vehicle would not shift out of 1st gear. Towed it to DD, Dave diagnosed it as completed transmission rebuild and $ 3k charge. Picked up vehicle after rebuild and broke down 10 miles from shop, won’t shift out of 1st gear again. Towed back, Dave evaluates and declares its a new problem not the transmission. Remove vehicle from DD and brought to another repair shop. Vehicle fixed for $ 150.
DD Transmission, Dave, misdiagnosed and won’t own up to his mistake. He maintains that we have to pay for his incompetence, its just wrong! Stay far away.

Without a doubt, the best repair shop I’ve been to. Dave is very helpful and always goes the extra mile. For example, he came to my job in Middlebury to help me when I had a flat tire and needed a replacement. Not only did he pick up a replacement tire for me, he even researched and priced out the rest of my tires. Dave and his staff are very friendly and professional. After 10+ times bringing my car in, I can always trust D&D and will continue being a customer.

The best auto repair shop ever! D&D is the only place I have ever felt good about paying for car repairs. Dave is a great guy and does an awesome job at explain car issues to someone who is not a car expert such as myself. They even go out of their way and give you a ride to home/​work while your car is being repaired! I would definitely recommend D&D to everyone!
