Sophia’s European Salon

I had my hair cut by Jenny Rae, one of the advanced stylists at Sophia’s. My hair is rather thick and curly, and I’m somewhat used to being slightly dissatisfied with one part of my haircut or another. When I find a stylist who does a great job, I’ll go back to her/​him for as long as I can.
Jenny Rae did an amazing job on my hair, as well as the detail work, like sideburns, eye brows, and thinning some of the bulk. She clearly knows her stuff, from cutting and styling to product as well. She recommended a different shampoo and styling product — and I’ve been very pleased with both. I’ll definitely go back to her, and would refer friends to her as well.

Sophia’s facials are the best you will find in the greater Seattle area, hands down. She is extremely knowledgeable about natural skin care. I have been seeing her since I was a teenager with problem acne. She always goes the extra mile to customize a treatment for me, and knows how my skin responds to certain products. She is great at extractions that heal without scarring. It is not uncommon for Sophia so spend an extra 20 or 30 minutes adding in a special mask or treatment to your facial, complimentary, just because she wants you to walk out feeling great and wants the best for your skin’s health. She offers some unique skin care lines of products in her salon for sale, which I’ve found to be effective.
Sophia is also not your average esthetician. She has a positive attitude and a sharp sense of humor, and interesting, therapeutic conversation always accompanies any treatment. She has become a trusted friend over the years.
I am a woman in my 20’s who can’t exactly «afford» to be getting regular facials, but I have made room in my budget to try and see Sophia every month or so. My skin is clearer than it’s ever been and I love being able to skip wearing makeup for the weeks after I visit.
PS: She also does fantastic brow and lash tinting that won’t damage your natural hair! Get it as an add-​on to your next facial.

Wow. I so wish I had found Sophia years ago. You will find no one better at assessing your skin and face (and décolletage!). I so look forward to my time in her chair — she has this cool little leg-​pumper thing she zips you into that improves circulation and is like a little massage… while she does her magic on your mug. my skin has never looked better, and the products she carries are luxe and effective. And here’s the big bonus for me — she saved my BROWS. After years and years of seriously over plucking, and not realizing that they do NOT grow back after a certain — ahem — age, Sophia took charge. She shaped them, dyed them, and then magically plumped them up with her semi-​permanent make-​up. Yes, this is a tattoo, but she does it with a needle, by hand, and you would NEVER KNOW. I am turning fifty this fall and was idly thinking of getting a tattoo… I did not in my wildest dreams think this is the tattoo I would get, but it has turned out to be the best wish fulfillment ever.
Sophia IS a genius and this really is as good as it gets.

Sophia is a genius. She is a legend in the local skincare industry. I heard about her for years from my woman co-​workers and finally took the step into her salon and I will never look back. Not only does she know exactly what my skin needs, each visit, with a customized facial, I also joke around that my time in her room is therapy. I always feel so relaxed and centered after I leave her. My brows have never been the same, and I didnt even really need work. She shaped them beautifully. Her skincare lines are unparalleled to what you can buy commercially. She wont carry anything over distributed. Arya Laya and Dr Grandel have become my must haves in my beauty tome. She will even ship them to me if I cant make it from Seattle to Mercer Island. I get compliments daily on my skin that I give all the credit to Sophia for keeping me looking youthful and radiant. Spend your money on Sophia and not on designer shoes. People look at your skin before your feet!

My skin is combination break outs and aging; she cleans my skin and somehow makes it look and feel younger and healthier every treatment. I feel totally taken care of and pampered every time I go to see her. She nurtures my emotions and my spirit as well as my skin. I get compliments all the time about my complexion and I give her all the credit! I love Sophia! She sells very high quality, luxurious products for the skin, but I NEVER feel pressure to buy anything I don’t need or want.
