Dr. Jeff is amazing and always adjusts me when I need it. Being a hairstylist, I am constantly needing his help from being on my feet. He is very knowledgeable also about holistic healthcare. I recommend all my clients to him.

My review is mixed because the behavior of Dr. Parton and his staff is a mixture of somewhat good and slop.
I believe in reporting both good and bad…
good: Chiropractor Parton believes in doing what he can to set the patient up with a regular schedule of visits. .. he will work with potential patients to find a way that works for them and him financially. .. he is at least somewhat caring. .. he sponsors some kids in foreign lands. .. he probably practices an extremely basic form of Pettibon system or Pettibon techniques.
poor, foolish or bad:
1) his adjustments – in my experience– are not very accurate and at times his attempts to adust my spine left me feeling a bit jammed;
2) the practitioners of the pettibon system or techniques have as their aim getting the spine back into an optimal posture, with curves and the right amount of curves in the right places. .. Dr. Parton uses a neck traction to help put some more curve back into one’s neck…
After seeing another chiropractor who knows and practices the Pettibon technique I realized that there is a lot more that can and should be done for those whose necks or spines have habitual bad posture. .. and that Dr. Parton does not mention or do several of those things, including teaching some basic at-​home exercises, different for each person depending on that person’s habitual posture. So, the use of the neck traction thing is a step in a good direction, but it may be a matter of being cheap or sloppy that Dr. Parton does not do the few items more which can be done…
3) At all or nearly all other chiropractic offices, the adjusting was either done in a separate room or, if in a common room, there was a wall slop or counter or container in which to place one’s personal items. At least in mid-​2014, the Jeff Parton chiropractic office was so cheap that there were no such containers or spots provided. The result is that many persons including myself would leave personal items on a chair or on the floor and even staff themselves left items on their own counters.
Of course, for most persons, it is not a problem until it becomes a problem, and I left something behind one day and called the staff back 20 minutes later. The chief receptionist said approximately, «I’ve got it right here; you’ll have it when you come back.»
Of course, it was a wrist wallet with several hundred dollars in it; the wallet «disappeared,» by the time I returned. Jeff Parton then claimed that his office had had many incidents of theft and made some vague claim about his insurance maybe covering the theft, statements of his which he never followed up upon and the matter was completely dropped by him, despite my filing the appropriate police report. .. and then leaving his office and sending him a written complaint…
I don’t know if Parton just didn’t believe me about the money in my wrist wallet. .. or if he felt it was more convenient to forget about things…
What kind of a chiropractic office is both the site of multiple, repeated thefts and lacks basic containers or a counter for a patient to put things? How cheap or stupid can you be, on Mercer Island, of all places, and have repeated, multiple thefts (as Parton later claimed had been true of his office) and his staff put a wrist wallet and then leave it exposed and unattended on a counter for days? Or, for some member of his staff to steal it or walk off with it, while claiming he or she had left it on the counter unattended?
«It will be here when you get back,» does not mean, «I am leaving it on a counter unattended and passerby can steal it when I walk about or go home…»
I am not sure if he has ever bothered to solve the obvious things or to tell his staff not to leave patient belongings overnight, unattended on a counter, but he was cheap and I thought stupid and it moved me to interview and see other chiropractors.
Parton is trying, but some other factors or quirks influence him to make some poor decisions that are not good for patients health or well-​being.

What is more important to you?
If it is your back, you may not be happy here. It is all business — and I mean business (package deals, group patient discussions, marketing, etc). To be perfectly honest, he may be an amazing chiropractor b but id simply didn’t stick around ling enough to find out. The place seemed a bit too Grouponish. Like most patients, I would like the Doctor to focus on my health problems 100% of the time when I am sitting in front of him. The «let’s gather 6 or 7 strangers in a room and discuss back problems and how a regular chiropractic maintenance plan will work for everyone» thing didn’t do it for me. There are too many regular chiropractors out there that don’t rely on a «plan» to treat their patients.

Worste service that I have ever experienced. This guy is a rip off, He lied to me about the charges. He charged my insurance for two visits over $ 600. When I called the office to negotiate the fees that have been charged, his office manager Tina told me that I sound ridiculous!!!

I bought a groupon years ago (literally, like probably two years ago). Throughout that time, I’ve tried calling to schedule an appointment. No one has ever picked up so I’ve left two or three messages. I really wasn’t diligent about it because the groupons never expire BUT — that made me not persistent. Every six months or so when I’d see them in my purse I would call, and I have never been called back. At this point I’ve straight up lost the groupon and never gone. =/.

I bought a Groupon for an exam, massage and adjustment. I attend one appointment where I was lectured for 20 minutes about chiropractic theory and x-​rayed. I was told to come back to a second appointment to discuss my x-​rays. I came back on time and waited around twenty minutes to be blustered at more and was given dire warnings about the state of my body. I told him that I wanted to stick to the terms of my Groupon and received a 2 – 3 minute adjustment, no massage.
I left close to tears, and in just as much discomfort as when I walked in.
Pros: Nice space, the guy does seem like he’s trying hard, asks before touching
Cons: Lectures, has issues with scheduling, doesn’t stick to terms of treatment, relies on scare tactics to generate clientele.
Edited to add: I wasn’t in discomfort or close to tears because of the adjustment. The original issue still felt the same. The adjustment did nothing. The up-​selling and general attitude the chiropractor copped after I declined to buy further services upset me. Also, if we’re going to talk about «toxins», shouldn’t the carcinogenic effect of the radiation in x-​rays have been discussed with me? I wasn’t offered protective gear or asked about my previous x-​ray history.

SCAM ALERT!!! I did get one adjustment that was good but this place is all about taking as much of your money as possible. I had my first visit which included an adjustment and taking x-​rays. When it was time to go over the x-​rays I was told he only goes over them in a group session with other patients and would have to come back. The session was about an hour long and it was nothing more than a sales pitch. The Dr gave his spiel about how horrible the healthcare system is (well no duh) and the evils of western medicine. It felt like he was using some brain washing technique that he had learned at a «how to be a better salesman» seminar. He acts like he’s talking to a bunch of two year olds. After the pitch he made us all site and wait while he took each person one by one into a room to go over their x-​rays. When I got into the room he produced a «treatment plan» for me to sign. The plan included pre– signing up for 4 sessions per week for a year or so to the tune of over 4 thousand dollars. When I told him I wasn’t going to sign anything he first tried a hard sell by implying that I wasn’t signing either because I was stupid or didn’t care about my health. When I told him I was leaving he backed down and said I could just book one session at a time at my convenience.

Dr. Parton is the best chiropractor I have ever been to! His staff are always friendly and very helpful. He definitely is good at getting the kinks out of my neck and back. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for a great chiropractor!

I discovered MIC through a living socials deal, I can’t imagine how I would’ve otherwise as I have little or no connection to Mercer Island. What a great find! Super friendly staff, a terrific massage, and summary assessment of my need for some chiropractic work after a 6 year hiatus.
Jeff’s first adjustment yielded a huge sigh of relief after several weeks feeling «out». More work needed but feel I’m on the recovery path now. I would describe the swift work he did as strong yet precise. Clearly he knows his stuff.

The massage was good but I still have tension in my shoulders. I feel like my massage therapist should have been able to feel all the knots and massage them out. She was very friendly and spoke to me the entire time which wasn’t bad but I would have preferred to relax in silence. I would go back again and let them know if I need extra attention on some spots. But other places I have been to have known how to palpat and find out on there own.

I’ve never had chiropractic care, but Dr. Jeff has made me a huge supporter! I’ve been a runner for the past 10 years and on a computer 50+ hours every week for the past few years, so my back has really felt the effects. I also have Carpal Tunnel in my wrists. After seeing Dr. Jeff for the past few months, I’ve seen an unbelievable amount of progress. First, I noticed that my back was less achy and I had more energy in the morning. My wrist pain is almost completely gone, which has made a big difference in my workday and also in my yoga classes! Dr. Jeff was kind enough to work with our finances and created a payment plan that was right for both me and my husband to receive care. I honestly can’t believe I didn’t start this years ago. I’d recommend him to anyone!

My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing Dr. Jeff. He is very professional, friendly, and the best chiropractor I have seen. In just a few short sessions, I was able to see dramatic improvement!

Dr Jeff is an incredibly loving and genuine person who actually cares about you and your health.

I’ve been to a few chiropractors in my time, but the way Jeff adjusts and explains everything just makes sense. No mumbo jumbo weird stuff. Just a big guy realigning you and popping your back.
But don’t take my word for it. Give dr Jeff a try.

I got a groupon for 2 massages and an exam. The massage was great and deserves 5 stars, however the exam and following «presentation» threw me off. It wasn’t as professional as I have hoped and I had a feeling I was getting duped.
The biggest part I didn’t like was the scheduling. since the office is so busy I had to schedule my next massage a month ahead and with a busy schedule and lots of flying in that time, I missed the appointment. Why not call the client to remind and confirm the appointment the previous day like any other office? Especially if openings are so far ahead.

What I really like about Dr. Jeff is his scientific approach to treatment. I have came to his practice after purchasing a Groupon for 2 massages and a chiropractic evaluation. The first thing Dr. Jeff did was take a full set of x-​rays. He then thoroughly explained about the proper curvatures of the spine and what his treatment would accomplish.
I have been getting 3 adjustments per week for the past three month and just had another set of X-​rays done. The results are truly remarkable. I also feel that my spine is much more free now.
Lastly, the staff is very friendly and personable. They call you by name without looking you up, which is quite an accomplishment for a busy practice. Massages are very good as well. Ask for Francesca if you are coming for a massage.

I first visited Dr. Jeff’s office after purchasing a Groupon for two massages and an initial exam. I’ve since been getting adjusted 3 times a week.
Dr. Jeff and his staff are friendly, attentive and accommodating. My schedule varies on a daily basis, but they always manage to squeeze me in.
Dr. Jeff is very personable and genuinely cares about his patients. I would strongly recommend this practice to anyone seeking chiropractic care.

I stumbled upon his practice a few months ago, after getting a groupon for a free xray and two massages. Since then, I’ve been coming here to get adjusted three times a week.
My two favorite staff members, Kina and Karen, are so nice and accommodating. They know that I have a hectic schedule and really work with me to squeeze me in sometime during the day. Dr. Jeff is also awesome and my adjustments are «to the point.» He adjusts me the way I need, in as little as a minute, and lets me go about the rest of my day.
I believe Dr. Jeff truly wants to help people and I feel like we’re old friends already. I would definitely recommend this practice! :)

A few months ago, I had a bit of an allergy attack which led to a flurry of sneezing and coughing over a few days. During one of those sneezes, I felt a sharp pain in my back between my shoulder blades. This pain just wouldn’t go away. I had about 4 miserable nights of sleep and decided that something must be done.
I found Mercer Island Chiropractic through a quick Google search. I walked in and was seen in about 15 minutes. Dr. Parton did a full set of spine X-​rays and gave me an adjustment. I could tell that whatever in my back that was out of place was now back in. The pain was completely gone by the next day. Afterwards, I called a friend of mine who happens to be a physician. He told me that pain like that will resolve itself in 40 days. I replied, «well, this resolved the pain in 1 day.» I prefer the latter.
As of today, I’ve been a patient for about 3 months to correct some neck and back issues. I’m so pleased with the progress. It’s really hard to describe the difference. Most people are walking around every day carrying so much tension in their shoulders and neck from poor posture of the head and shoulders. It feels like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.
I’m so glad I walked into the office that day.

The first thing that struck me about this place was the intake process for new clients. The chiropractor, Dr. Parton, made a point of bringing in the new patients for an informative discussion about chiropractic medicine, it’s intentions and capabilities, and what to expect. It turned out to be a comprehensive framing of the holistic and technical aspects of chiropractic medicine, very refreshing. Great start. It’s nice to go into a place where the person taking care of you is counting on you to be informed about your own care. Everything discussed was congruent with my own knowledge and research, and displayed Dr. Parton’s genuine commitment to what he does.
The customer service is candid, positive and welcoming. The time is taken to discuss appropriate goals and x-​rays are taken after 3 months to monitor results. Patients are encouraged to be responsible for simple aspects of self care that can improve results and recovery (often something as simple as staying properly hydrated). There is a clear emphasis is on total care.
For the veterans who are familiar with chiropractic medicine, you know discomfort is expected to a certain degree — asking your body to adapt its musculoskeletal configuration causes things to move around in ways they haven’t for perhaps a very long time. Nerves wake up, muscles ache. it takes time to readjust. I’ve been to chiropractors that seem to want to coddle patients and avoid anything they don’t like experiencing, which is simply ineffective and misleading in the grand scheme of things. Dr. Parton has always taken the time to be compassionate and explain carefully why things feel the way they do during/​after an adjustment, but he never makes apologies or is afraid to do what is necessary for the patient and is quick to provide reassurances. It shows maturity, experience and professionalism and it’s greatly appreciated.
Can’t say enough positive things about this place. Lots of trust and confidence in the people here. Oh, and did I mention highly efficient? They can get you in and out in less than 15 minutes. Top notch, all around.
