Best dog service ever! We have used them three times and each time has been a smooth and successful experience. I enjoyed my weekend without a worry for our dog and cat. Since we aren’t first time clients, we use their online reservation system. No, it’s not quick or even remotely instantly gratifying, but they do get back to you. I just make sure I make my reservations at least 3 weeks in advance. For me, they’ve been worth it.

We are so very happy and thankful for the great service that Home Buddies provided us for a ten day pet sitting assignment! Angie took such great care of our kitties and house while we were out of town! She immediately made friends with our kitties during the consult visit, and gave insulin shots and pills that our cats need daily! Lacey got back to us immediately when we were shopping around for a new pet sitter and even helped us set up our profile online. We got daily text updates and pics, which really put our minds at ease about leaving them! We will definitely use Home Buddies again!

They’re convenient, affordable, and let my cat stay at home. Someone has always been available to take care of him, even over busy holidays. I’ve been using them for over two years and have been very happy with them.

The other one star reviews were spot on. I sent a request last weekend for service a week away and got no response. I followed up with them 3 times and even tracked down the office manager’s email address. We leave today and never heard back. I would highly recommend finding a service that can actually provide a service. If they cant reply to requests and mails, I don’t want them taking care of my pets.

Home Buddies did a stellar job for me. I needed a walker for my 45 ibs Boarder Collie/​Shepherd mix, Lily, while out of town last week for work. She came by around 10am and 3pm for 30 minute walks M-​F. I received a text messaged walk report w/​pic after each session. Our walker also checked in on our 2 cats. It was obvious at our meet n greet our walker Kimberly was fantastic with animals. All in all a great job, I won’t hesitate to use Home Buddies again in a few weeks for an upcoming family vacation.

Add me to the «these people are so incompetent that they can’t even return calls» list.
Seriously, if that is how you treat potential customers, there is no way that I’d hand over the keys to my home and pets to you.
There is a reason why these people are so cheap. You do get what you pay for.

Sent them a request for initial consultation, waited for 2 days, nothing. Called 5 times — they never picked up the phone. Finally, on day 3 they called me back, but the reception was bad, I said I couldn’t hear the person well and they just said «Ok» and that’s it. End of story. Had to go with another company, even though this one is less expensive.

IT took a long time for them to even get back to me by email or phone. just too late and I found another service. soooo… hopefully they will respond quicker or would say move on.

I’m not sure what the heck happened to their services. They were great for us last year. They allowed us to book or cancel pretty close to the time we needed them. They seemed flexible and reliable. My guess is that this year, their pet sitters in Issaquah become unreliable. Every time we booked an appointment via email, they didn’t respond or said they had sent a confirmation and one was never received. We tried calling them and would get a call back an hour before the scheduled time to say «We’re coming to check your pet!» At that point, we had already made other plans. They did refund us our money for that particular incident. Another very important point is that we did not receive photos or a video or even a note left by the pet sitter to inform us that they had actually been there. That was a bit distressing, as I can’t say if the pet sitter they hired actually showed up. Though I will say the owner apologized for this.
They did eventually let us know that the person who was originally working in the Issaquah area could no longer do the work, so they couldn’t service our area. They seem like nice easy-​going folks, I’m just a little disappointed in how the whole thing was handled and wanted to give others an honest review.

I love the service that my pet sitter provides. Angie in particular is awesome — she texts me updates and pictures and I know my cat is being played with and cuddled, not just fed and watered. Love the service.
There have been problems with booking — they switched on-​line reservation services and it’s a little buggy, trying to get ahold of someone by phone for new reservation is sometimes tricky, or by email. I believe these were simply temporary glitches as they were eventually resolved and I couldn’t be happier with the service provided.

Sadly, I must write this negative review for Home Buddies in Bellevue.
For the past 3+ years, Home Buddies provided weekly service, and it was good. At the end of May, our Home Buddies helper terminated employment. Since then our service visits have been iffy and finally a no-​show. My emails asking what was happening were ignored.
I am handicapped and depended on Home Buddies and always pre-​paid 20 weeks in advance. Since my emails were unanswered and the HB service didn’t show up for 2 weeks, I hired another company, although I was pre-​paid through 9÷15÷14. The new company is such a relief and is great!
I had to downgrade my prior 5 star review to warn people that Home Buddies has lost its reliability and my vote.

On two vacations, we’ve had Stephanie come check on our friendly gray tabby, Pepper.
Pepper is very social, and typically gets stressed and clingy when we return from vacation, even if we were only gone a couple days.
This time, thanks to Stephanie, she’s happy, content, and generally her usual self.
What I love most is the daily email I get, with an update and photos. It’s great knowing Pepper is well taken care of while we’re away.

We have used this service when traveling on long trips, and have never been disappointed. Their care for our kitties, diligence in sending photos, etc was unsurpassed — they truly went above and beyond the call of duty for us! I highly recommend them.

I had the same experience as Don P. Filled out the form on the website for a consultation, got the confirmation, and never heard back. Will look for someone else.

I ve left 3 voicemails and an inquiry on the website and have not received any kind of follow up. Had such great reviews, but seems to not match up with their follow up. Very disappointed. I ve had my girlfriend even call in a few times, same result.

Used Home Buddies for the first time this past week while we were out of state for Thanksgiving. Couldn’t possibly be happier with them! They visited our cat daily and provided lots of play time. They went above and beyond in every way, sending daily stories and photos that helped make us feel better about leaving our very social and energetic cat for a week.
I look forward to working with Jay at Home Buddies again soon on our next trip. The peace of mind they provide is great, and the communication is stellar. We may have to even schedule some play visits over the next few weeks — I think our cat is missing Jay already! :)

We have been using Home Buddies for some time now. They have always been courteous, responsive and just generally a pleasure to work with.
We have two adult dogs, the female can be very fickle and can be a handful. Andi has she has persevered and won the female dogs’ heart! Now they are best friends.
I have peace of mind whenever I know Andi is coming to care for our pets.

My husband and I have used Home Buddies for some extended trips, and we absolutely could not ask for better care for our 2 adult cats. Stephanie has been assigned to us, and she always gives us a nice email with photos of each cat for every day she comes. Not only does she refill their water and food, she also scoops the litter and brings in the mail.
Our cats are usually fairly skittish of unfamiliar faces, but they grew to love Stephanie within days. Now they climb into her lap every day, which is really unusual for them, even when they are with us! We are just thrilled with the level of care. We also have had a very easy time scheduling appointments online and emailing the owner of the company with questions. We always get a prompt response. This is a great, trustworthy company and we look forward to using them more in the future!

Just wanted to share my personal experiences and say THANK YOU to Jay who took care of my big baby Cali when I got into a car accident and needed help. I called Jay, I told him I was in a car accident and I needed help ASAP. All his dog sitters were unavailable so he offered to personally walk my dog… Jay was GREAT he sent me pictures of Cali of what they did and where they went each day. Jay, followed my instructions, and fulfilled all my doggies requests,…from how to give her treats to making sure she had fresh water in her bowl… etc. BTW, they will water your plants… for FREE! When you hired Jay the dog walker, you can rest-​assure your best friend (s) will be taken care of! I highly recommend Jay if you want the best care possible for your best friend (s).

I had been boarding my cats for my last 3 trips and every time I would come back to get them the helpers would tell me that my cats weren’t really happy and then they would act weird for days. So, I decided to try a pet sitter in my home.
The initial consultation went very well and I knew Amanda would be so great with my cats. She just gushed about them and they seemed to love her instantly. She said she couldn’t wait to come back and watch them, and I believed her!
I was just gone for 7 days at christmas and Amanda did an amazing job. I loved the picture messages everyday of my kitties so that I could know that they were safe, and I loved the great care that Amanda showed them.
I came back yesterday and it was like I never left. Everything was perfectly in order and my kitties were super happy. What more can you ask for? :)
