I have been coming here for about 3 years now and I love it. The teas and smoothies are amazing. The boba always tastes fresh and delicious. They have a variety of what you can put in your tea or smoothie such as lychee, or mini boba, strawberry or mango. Their bento boxes and lunch specials are great! Their spring rolls and Vietnamese sandwiches are amazing! This place is definitely a 5 star place, and the owner is extremely nice.

Love coming here. It has really good boba for a cheap price. Their boba is always fresh and never hard or crunchy like some other places. They also have really good food. Phở and pad Thai I’d definitely recommend.

I love the boba here. I personally like the milk tea and boba here more than I like it anywhere else in Merced. I do understand that it is family owned, but I feel this place lacks professionalism and this is what’s potentially hurting their business. They need to Jazz the place up a bit in order to appeal to the college audience. Take notes from Em Tea and Sno Crave.

This Place has been here for a min. My first time I visited this place was ok. Of course it was new & clean! That was couple years ago. Today I decided to pay a visit while my car was washed … It’s needs a little cleaning. Kitchen looked a mess. The lady helping us looked as she just crawled out of bed! There was two little girl just chilling as if they were home. Shoes off, they looks as if they crawled out of bed, eating and watching cartoons. Not sure when the last time there was an inspection here !! They need a surprise one! Lady was nice though. They need to stay away from white furniture! Make the place look run down cause they are dirty. Orange couch need to go! I’m sure with a little clean this place will be ok. They need to hire people instead of the owners running it. It’s not professional when your kids are roaming in & out of bathroom & kitchen

This place makes the most delicious food. I don’t do boba, but I did just finish a perfect grilled chicken bowl and my husband, done with his Korean chicken, is still making yummy noises and commenting on the flavors. The chicken itself was great too — not chewy or fatty or gristly, which is a problem I run into a lot at other places.
I am so glad I found them! I need to try the kimchi burrito next time!

I recommend the coconut milk tea with pearls! The pearls are soft and the milk tea is creamy and sweetened to perfection. It’s the best I’ve had in Merced. The atmosphere is oddly quiet so I usually opt for pick-​up only.

If you compare this place (or any place in merced) to another city such as the bay or SoCal, of course you wouldnt think of it as great. But as this is literally the only place to get popcorn chicken in Merced, its pretty fair! A fair warning: if there is a good amount of people waiting for their food, dont expect it to be quick; the kitchen is small and it takes quite a bit of time, especially with the variety of items they sell/​offer.

I’m all for mom&pop shops. I’ve been visiting here since I was an undergraduate in college which was about 4 – 5 years ago.
Although this is a small shop, it’s good to come here with a small group of friends to eat, chat, and drink boba! They offer rice bowls, Pad Thai, lunch combos, desserts and boba drinks.
Now that the new café opened (sno-​crave), they are stealing all of this café’s business. I’m a huge supporter of mom&spot so I’m staying loyal. Plus the new place is a chain, and the quality is mediocre.
Be a supporter and give this place a try! The owners of this café are super friendly and always giving discounts to students. Don’t forget to bring your student ID!

I love going to fusion café. The staff is so nice and friendly. Their food can take long sometimes but it’s always fresh. I always get a mango boba & the shrimp spring rolls. It’s a nice environment with friendly service

BEST BOBA EVER! First off, I’m not a fan of boba. The milk is either too sweet, the boba is too hard, but somehow I found the perfect boba drink! I drive to Merced JUST to get the boba. I definitely recommend!

Should be a warning on each item on the menu for the amount of sugar they pour into every dish. Long wait times on food. The place smells bad, and it’s very dirty inside.

My boyfriend comes here once in awhile when he’s too lazy to get us boba from donut king. I really dislike Fusion café’s boba. It taste a lot like powder and their boba is hard and not very fresh. The food isn’t too great last time i ordered a bowl last time I was here and was highly disappointed. The portions weren’t that much and I ended up getting some burritos from chipotle because their food didn’t fill me up. The food was very bland just like their bobas.
The place itself is clean and has cute couches and a nice set up to watch tv but the service isn’t that great. They are really slow and take forever to make their crappy boba and crappy food. I don’t think I will be coming back here soon unless some miracle happens and their food gets better.

My favorite boba place in Merced.
It’s a cute mom and pop shop with reasonably priced and tasty boba drinks. My favorites are the mango milk tea and taro milk tea. The pad thai is also fairly popular and the portion size is wayyyy better than the amount students buy on-​campus from Sam’s Café. There are also popcorn chicken, which is popular.
If you are regular like I was, definitely ask for a stamp card and show them your student ID card for a 10% discount.
Usually, I get my drinks pretty quickly. Occasionally, it gets busy, so waits are longgggg. But they are always super friendly and personable. In the past, UCM students were hired to help make boba drinks, which seemed to have never came out well.
Lastly, I shouldn’t forget to mention there is free wifi, which is alwaysss a plus!

It could be better.
The first impression was not good. I came with a large seven person group and I had to wait at least an hour before any of us got our food. We even ordered drinks and you’d think milk tea could be made quicker. One friend didn’t even get his meal until most of us were already finished eating.
As for the food, we all ordered the lunch special for about 6.50 where we could order a drink and a bowl. I was fairly satisfied with the rice bowl but maybe it’s because I’m from the Bay Area where milk tea is sold on every corner because I thought it was too sweet and artificial tasting.
The only thing that made up for the experience was that the owner gave all my friends a coupon for a free drink next time. Hopefully the second time around would be better.

I love their boba drinks. 4⁄5 stars from me. A little too sweet, so if you’re not big on that request less sugar.
Food is okay, ¾ stars. The people who work there are nice, just service is very, VERY slow. I ordered takeout and upon walking home realized that they got my order wrong– NBD, it was still good, but I was kind of bummed. Décor is ok, but the decals on the table are peeling, and the printout they have of their Wi-​Fi is kind of hard to read without inspecting it. Wi-​Fi didn’t work on my computer, but I’m almost entire sure that it’s a problem with my computer so not holding it against them… Unforgivable: waiting for my food when one of the employees started mopping the floor with a VERY strong smelling cleaning agent. No thanks. All that said, I’ll definitely be back.
