While we stopped after Fathers Day weekend, it was Slim Pickens. However, we managed to walk out with three bags and some mustard. The jerky and sticks are legit and we’ll be ordering on line, since we are from Indiana. I need another habit like I need another tax bill… addicting. Beware. Great gift for your guy, friend, father or yourself.

Love this place! My brother in law loved jerky so that’s his christmas gift every year! The staff here is always so friendly and welcoming. The store is clean and always smells amazing. They often offer groupon deals which also has me coming back to the store. The roasted garlic jerky and honey beef sticks are my favorites!

I have just discovered Tommy’s newest store today in Avon, Ohio. And THANKGOODNESS I did!!! I was welcomed warmly by both Tommy himself and the manager of the store and was given and explanation of how things worked. Exotic jerkies were in the back of the store(my specific reason for stopping in) and included wild boar, elk, venison, gator, salmon, bison, and KANGAROO. No samples back here but I bought one of everything! Up front, there are racks of prepackaged jerkies and smokies as well as huge barrels filled with jerky, smokies, and cowboy sticks(big smokies). Each barrel had cut up pieces of meat to taste before buying. On the weekends, the manager cooks up sausages and pulled pork so customers can taste their special bbq sauce on sale. Not to mention the deep fried peanuts in a variety of flavors that are super delicious! Jack Links jerky was a staple until today. I’m on a low fat, high protein diet and jerky is the perfect little snack for me to have. For my taste, Tommy’s peppered beef jerky is a hundred times better than that processed crap. They make their jerky FRESH every week and send it in from their plant in Wadsworth. Not only are you supporting a local business, it’s darn tasty to boot. My husband loves jerky, too, especially the exotic types. We cracked open a bag of peppered wild boar and wow!!! It was tender and slightly sweet– totally unexpected flavors from boar. It was absolutely fabulous. I would recommend this place to anyone(and will be) who loves jerky! Props, guys!

First! Tommy’s Jerky Outlet is an emporium of beefy goodness. I first discovered Tommy’s Jerky Outlet while on the way to dinner at Mama Roberto’s in Mentor(it’s a wonderful restaurant). I am not sure how long Tommy’s has been at this particular location, but I am pretty sure it’s a relatively new store. Apparently, there is a second store in Chardon, OH, or if you’re not in the area it appears you can order jerky online, too. When I first saw the store sign, I imagined it would be a store that sold many different brands of beef jerky. This is not the case. Tommy’s Jerky Outlet only sells one brand of beef jerky: Tommy’s. Don’t expect to find any other brands. Tommy’s Jerky is good, but not the best I have had.(The best jerky that I have eaten to date is Uncle Mike’s, which is only available in select stores or online.) Still, Tommy’s Jerky is edible and will probably please the average jerky consumer. I can’t speak to their ingredients or methods since I am not a jerky expert, just a humble gnawer of beef snacks. The store carries many varieties of jerky. They must have(at least) approximately 25 different kinds of beef jerky and sausage smokies there, and free samples of everything. You can buy prepackaged or in bulk from a bin. Of all the flavors of jerky and smokies that I tried, I think I enjoyed the Blazing Cherry Beef jerky the most. While not cheap(is any beef jerky ever cheap?), the products are reasonably priced for«craft jerky»(destined to be a New York Times trending story?). They also have a variety of turkey jerky, flavored fried peanuts(the peanut brittle one is tasty), as well as elk, buffalo, and venison jerky(pretty sure you can’t sample these last three since they’re less plentiful variety of game). I recommend patronizing this place. Drop in, sample the jerky, and buy a few bags… Cleveland needs more unique businesses. And MOAR jerky.
