Friendly staff. I was there very early in the morning and early for my appointment as well. It was WONDERFUL to have my thick, curly, grey hair cut in a way that «makes a statement» without being over the top or unprofessional looking. Holly is very talented and knowledgeable not only about hair in general but your hair. She takes the time to know your hair’s texture, fullness, and character (curly, straight, wavy, combination…). Her recommendations to her assistant made my first appointment with her an experience. Looking forward to my next visits, highly recommend Ladies and Gentlemen!

Absolutely love this place — while it’s about 30 minutes from my house I consider myself lucky that great hair is that close! Leah B is wonderful-​always on point with the style but also listens to exactly what I want. Just great! The prices include the tip so that makes it less awkward when you are done — the hand and arm facial whole getting your hair washed really set this place apart!

Just left ladies and gentleman and feel horrible. I had always come here before special events not only because the work was usually quality but because I enjoyed the care I would usually receive. I would usually feel confident and happy when leaving.
I received no consultation beyond «what clipper size do you want» she was cutting before even asking how I wear my hair, if I use product, or even brushing it out before taking the clippers to it. This was done as quickly as possible and felt like little care to even attempt to blend/​fade between sides and top. I now have clumps that stick out.
Felt like I was at great clips
At least there I expect no conversation and the «senior stylist» to be chomping on her gum while worrying about the health board coming in.

Been to Mentor and Beachwood several times. Mentor has a much better massage experience. Shannon is amazing at facials– it’s a whole relaxing experience plus real skin benefits!

Had great service from stylist, Molly !!! She new exactly what I wanted and my hair turned out great. The staff at the front desk are very nice and welcoming ! Will be back for sure for my next hair appt in a month !!!

I am placing this review here because Ladies and Gentlemen Salon and Spa owns Brown Aveda school. A am appalled on how I, a long time customer was treated today.
I have been going to Brown Aveda for many years to have complete facial sugaring aka waxing. I made an appointment to have this service done today. Guess what, their receptionist only booked me for an eyebrow wax, not the entire face. This is the second time they screwed up. They said we can wax your brows but you will have to come back another day… fool me twice, right. They not only lost a long time customer but many of my friends as well. This beauty school has no accountability whatsoever. The owner was not present today and I’m sure she would have made an accommodation as this was their error… for the second time.

Staff was friendly and welcoming and my hair and makeup turned out great!

I’ve gone to a lot of different places for a massage. I just went to Ladies & Gentlemen Spa in Mentor. Tanya was my masseuse & she was amazing! From the moment I walked in I felt pampered. Tanya really listened to what I wanted and the result is one relaxed & happy lady! I recommend this spa & Tanya to anyone looking for a fantastic couple of relaxing hours!

I live in Cleveland and while there’s plenty of nice salons to choose from here, I still drive 35 min. to get my hair done at L&G. I love the Aveda product and how great my hair smells afterwards.
Laya Biernot is who does my hair and is continuously finding ways to improve my original ideas and always leaves me with a haircut and color that is way more than I had expected.
Prices are more than fair considering they don’t accept tips and the extra treatment you receive (mini facial, hand arm massage, hot tea or coffee and makeup).
Everyone is always so complimentive of each others work and really makes you feel great walking out. They also have a variety of other services and promos

So, here’s the truth. If you want skilled service, my advice is to not go to this location. I think the Legacy Village salon is MUCH better.
First of all, the esthetics of this particular L&G salon is subpar. This does not compare to Legacy’s beautifully kept salon. This Mentor location just looks like it was once a shack…
I got my hair cut here when I got a gift card and just thought «I love L&G, why not try the other location?» Well, I’ll tell you why not. They don’t know how to cut hair. They did my trim just fine, but they definitely screwed up my bangs. In fact, the stylist who was working on me, actually had a look of shock on her face and was most definitely nervous, which did not put me at ease. I don’t remember her name because this was over a year ago. It was so bad that she actually had to go ask another stylist to help her not screw my hair up completely. Imagine my horror. I almost told her to stop completely because this was not making me comfortable.
So, in the end, I did not love my finished look. I don’t think I was asking for anything crazy– just a standard layering and trimming of my bangs. They still managed to leave me not completely satisfied. My bangs did not look good. They looked stuck to my forehead and good bangs do not look like they’ve just been cut, which they did when I left.
Haven’t returned since.

My stylist has switched salons… For as much as I love ladies and gents, I will be following Jessie to Edge in Willowby.

Becca in mentor cut my hair. She was a really nice person but not a very skilled hair dresser! I just ended up leaving bc the cut was so bad and i did not want her to cut anymore. I have noticed in the past the Aveda salons do not have very skilled hair dressers, I think they must have a bad training program

Great place to get a haircut. Everyone is very nice, and they clearly look to go the extra mile for their customers. Being open on Sunday is a real plus, as it makes scheduling very easy. The extras that you get (mini massage and face treatment) are really nice, and it really goes to show that making customers feel great is their priority.

I am very happy with the service there, but it is worth paying more for a senior stylist.

I live much closer to the Legacy Village location, but they were booked for several days and I always seem to wait until the last minute to get my hair cut.
I liked the style, it was cute but didn’t seem like all that much thought was put into it. Just a basic blunt style. The stylist then proceeded to curl it (which seemed unnecessary but I said OK, why not?) although it did make it much harder to see the actual style.
They also offer free makeup, free facial massage. The makeup was OK. I never wear much makeup in everyday life and while it looked nice, it wasn’t enough to convince me to wear makeup daily.
The salon itself was clean, and everyone there seemed very nice although extremely busy.
Overall pretty OK! And they don’t accept tips, which makes it a bit easier to come back.

This is my favorite place to get my haircut when I’m home.
It’s a bit pricey depending on the level of stylist but worth it. They don’t accept tips so I factor that in as well. I like Aveda salons in general and this one carries a very a professional feel. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely love this place. So many perks: no tipping, great service, great products, great hours (who else is open on sundays), free mini facial and hand and arm massage.
The price is worth it, since you don’t tip it actually turns out to be quite reasonable. I go to Stacey Hubrath– she does an awesome job. However, she now works at the Legacy Village location.
My mom is a cosmitologist so I am especially sensitive to technique and can spot a bad cut/​color right away. In fact, I’m so picky that I’ve only been to 3 hair stylists in my whole life. The fact that I have recommended Stacey to friends that love her too should say a alot. I was skeptical about natural products when I first tried Ladies and Gentlmen, but I find them to actually be effective. A little pricey, but just as good as the stuff you by at Cosmo Pro.
I have also been to this location for a bikini wax. Sounds horrifying, but actually went quite well. I went to Niyna (not sure about the spelling pronounced nine-​ahh). She was very good, made me feel very comfortable and was very knowledgable about hair growth, waxing, sugaring ect. I definately reccomend her. Anyone who takes such a potentially scare procedure and makes you feel like it’s no big deal is good in my book.
