I was sick of looking at my cracked iPhone screen so decided to go on the hunt to find a local shop who could replace the screen on my iPhone 6. Most places quoted about the same price and wait time ranged from 1 – 1.5 hours.
Art was friendly, professional and super fast — took him about 20 minutes to replace my screen. He also brought me out a chair with a back so that I could wait (9 months pregnant) comfortably and he cleaned both my phone and case afterwards. I’m hoping to not need another screen but if I ever have an issue again, I’m coming back to find Art!

I spent the past week comparing pricing and reviews on here until I came across Techworld Trading. I called today and asked if an appointment was necessary and they told me it wasn’t necessary. I even received a text with their address which helped me locate them in downtown Menlo Park, they are right across starbucks.

Techworld replaced my cracked front screen in 25 mins while I waited. I am extremely happy my friends referred this place to me. It was a less costly and more importantly timely solution, as opposed to using the Apple and Sprint Warranty and Insurance.
While waiting I observed Matt interacting with customers he could not help in store. He was quick to suggest alternatives and solutions. He even helped with look up and use of his phone.
I will suggest this store to any friends and acquaintances that would need this repair service,

My mid-​2012 Mac Pro laptop was suddenly slow as molasses. Every time I went to change a font size or color, i’d get the spinning wheel of death for 4 or 5 seconds before it changed. Videos would play for 3 seconds then pause for 3 seconds then play again. I visited the Apple Genius Bar in Palo Alto and they suggested increasing memory from 4GB to 8 or 16GB, which I did, but that didn’t fix the issue. Thus, I called Apple support and after going up 4 levels from entry-​level support to head of support (over 3 hours), they told me they were 90% sure the SATA bus to the hard drive was malfunctioning. Not dead (and thus things still worked) but several of the «bus lanes» were faulty and thus the slow down on my system. I could buy a new bus cable for about $ 45 and figure out how to install it myself, or bring it into a repair shop.
I took my laptop it into Techworld and told them the story. I was delighted they had opened a place in nearby downtown in MP. Easy to find and get to and quite friendly. They accepted Apple’s prognosis and replaced the SATA cable by the next day. I returned and tested the repair and all was well. Fonts were changing color in milliseconds and videos were playing seamlessly. Total cost was $ 99. I’m back up and running now and quite happy. Cool.

TechWorld has a well run and smart business going. I have done plenty of business with them and have never had a problem with anything. I purchased the iPad 2, a desktop for my business, and MacBook Pro for me and my wife. Haven’t had any problems with anything and it has been a couple years. I was hesitant on The MacBooks because I have always been a PC guy, but the Macs had windows installed with Microsoft Office so the transition was easy. I have also had the screen on my iPhone 4 fixed.
The products have always been legit as far as function and appearance and the service and pricing have always been fair. I am now a loyal customer and go to TechWorld for all my technology needs.

I came here to have an iPhone screen replaced. The guy needed a lot of personal information for a quick screen replacement. He asked for a contact number — this made sense. Then he asked for my email… I wasn’t sure why he needed that, so I said I’d prefer to not give that out. He said he needed two ways to contact me so I said «fine» and gave him another phone number. He then said he needed my billing address. So is this a third way to contact me? At this point, I wasn’t feeling very comfortable. Besides, it’s 2015, no one gives that out. He was very sharp with me when I said I’d prefer to not give that (especially since this wasn’t my phone and I was doing this for someone else). He didn’t give a reason for it other than he «just needed it and that’s how they do business with all their customers». I then said, «oh ok, well this person I’m bringing the phone in for has been here before so let’s use their info.» Apparently, my friend wasn’t in the system and it appeared that this was not standard practice. The guy made such a big deal out of sharing my info and it was incredibly annoying. Finally, 15−20mins in, he skips the address and says the phone will be ready in an hour and to just come back… he doesn’t call to let you know when it’s done. So WTF was the point of giving all that info?!?
Waste of time and this guy probably sells your personal info. I’d rather buy a new phone than take it here to get replaced.

I have been their regular customer since 2013, They used to be in Downtown Redwood city and i used to take my macbooks and ipads for screen repair. they have recenly moved to our town Menlo Park, im glad they did so i dont have to drive up there. Couple days ago, my little one broke our lovely ipad mini digitizer, even it had the screen protector it was chipped and i didnt want her to hurt her fingers and i took right away to Techworld for Screen replacement. They were so busy so i couldnt pick up the same day but glad to able to pick up next day. Since i was their loyal client they offered 50 percent off on the screen proctector and cable. thanks Techworld.

I have been using Techworld over 3 years now. I got my iphone fixed a couple of times. They solved some Mac issues for me. I got an Apple Tv from them etc. Before i forget they helped me build and design my website also. Each time i needed help they were helpful and timely. If you need iPhone 6 screen replacement give them a try. I had a cracked iPhone 6 screen they fixed mine in a couple of minutes. Last time i was there i figured they do iPad screen replacement also. Its always good to know i have Techworld when i need some tech assistance. Keep it up.

Normally I do my own computer repairs however when I moved to California I forgot my Windows CD and unfortunately had a OS failure soon after.
Came here because doing an OS reinstall through them was cheaper than a new Windows 7 CD and I had too much going on.
The service was great although the turnover was a couple of days which seemed a bit much for an OS install. Regardless the prices were reasonable and if I have another catastrophic failure, I’ll be sure to come back.

I found out about this place when I took my cell phone into Verizon because my phone was no longer charging. The Verizon guy diagnosed it as a broken something or the other that was preventing the phone’s ability to charge (I don’t want to get too technical in this review!) and sent me over to Techworld to get it fixed. I guess Verizon sells phones and even sells insurance for phones, they just don’t fix phones once they’ve sold them to you. (a different review for Verizon needed clearly)
In any case, I had the great fortune to get introduced to Dawud, who recognized the problem, but also realized he didn’t have the part in stock. I was going out of town the next day with a phone and a dead battery and he could tell that I was a bit frazzled. He loaned me a charger and spare battery to get me through my trip (such a thoughtful and kind gesture), and told me when I returned, he would have the part. He was as good as his word. He even called me on a Sunday to tell me the part was in. I came in today, Monday, and he fixed my phone in minutes.
Dawud is a smart guy. He is also very very good at what he does. And he is pleasant. Did you hear that Verizon? The price was also very reasonable

I brought my iPad mini in to have the cracked screen repaired. The first employee I dealt with at the counter was condescending and arrogant. So much so, that I planned to take my business elsewhere. However, being pressed for time, I had no quick alternative.
I was told it would be approximately 1 day to repair and it would be $ 149. The next day, I received a call that «the service technician» had been using the wrong tools and had broken another piece inside of my iPad mini. I was advised it would be at least another day while they replaced the piece THEY broke.
Two days later, I was informed that Techworld would need another day. I was leaving town, so the owner, who was very nice and helpful, provided me with a replacement iPad mini to use for the two weeks I was out of town. He gave me the replacement the day before my trip and it worked fine.
The owner was the only bright spot in an otherwise horrible experience. I appreciate his willingness to help his customer. However, I felt a substantial credit should have also been given after dealing with the arrogant, condescending counter employee, the incompetent service technician and the amount of time the repair took.
FYI, an iPad mini OEM factory replacement screen can be purchased on
for $ 37 with detailed instructions regarding the 2 hour installation.
I probably wouldn’t recommend using Technoworld for iPad mini repairs.
