Midnight Munchies Bakery

Ordered two different orders to two different locations. Had the assorted cookies and munchcakes. It was heavenly bliss. Also ordered a quart of milk and 4 individual ice creams. Everyone enjoyed it. Buddies we’re saying, «this is epic,» as they bit into each munchcake. They devoured it like lions.

No complaints about Midnight Munchies Bakery. I order a dozen and a half assorted cookies and munchcakes to be delivered to my husband’s office for his birthday. Apparently I’m very popular amongst the office staff now because of this. Everyone raved about the cookies and he brought me home a few that were left over. The Boom Goes the Dynamite were so good! Potato chips in a cookie? Hell yes! I highly recommend them and Mark is great to deal with. Now I’m trying to figure out what else I can order some cookies for!
A note to Mark/​Midnight Munchies Bakery: I think you should include your website/​phone number on the notes you put on the boxes so that others can easily contact you when in need!

My girlfriend was getting the munchies for some cookies and we were in the area. Unfortunately when we arrived I had no idea where to go. We circled the entire area and decided heck they have a phone number I’ll hit them up.
They were actually using the kitchen of the cake shop which made sense this was the only building lit up in the area haha. I called up and they told us they don’t have cookies sitting out and they make a fresh batch. I ordered a dozen and waited outside for 20 minutes. Came in and bam they were literally out of the oven.
Paid cash and on our way with some cookies and man were they nice and hot. Definitely have that nice warm taste to it. I told the dude man too bad you don’t have more Unilocal reviews out for a 5 star location.
Here’s my review for you buddy, if I’m in the area again I’ll definitely get some more cookies pal.

A belated review…
Last year, I was looking for something to send to comfort family across the country who had just suffered a loss in the family. I stumbled upon the Midnight Munchies Bakery website and was first surprised by their reasonable prices, even with delivery.
When I received my confirmation, I wrote back and asked it if would be possible for them to deliver on the early side since there was a baby in the house… and if they could be a little on the quiet side. I also inquired if there was a way I could add a tip from my end across the country since I didn’t want to burden the family with that while they were in mourning.
I received the most lovely response promptly directly from Mark who said they would deliver as close to the beginning of the night as possible «to minimize the risk of waking the baby :).» and «Don’t worry about the tip, the thought is much appreciated but it is not necessary.»
What customer service. In this day and age where everything is a click away and actual service is so rare, love to find a company that still cares about what they do.
And on top of it, more than one family member raved about how delicious the treats were.

Their menu is fantastic, and so delicious! However the last time I ordered from them, I waited nearly 2 hours for delivery.

I ordered cookies (from their website) to be sent to my husband’s hotel, as his bday fell during a business trip. Mark, the owner was very nice and replied directly. He included a bday message on the box and the cookies were waiting in my husband’s hotel room, in Sunnyvale, upon check-​in. Great service, on-​time delivery and according to my husband, delicious cookies. Highly recommend!

Mark was a great sport — I placed a late order in the evening as to be able to surprise the boyfriend with a little gift of cookies in celebration of his work anniversary. I was concerned that my order was much too late to be delivered that same evening, but Mark was very kind and able to fit it in his deliveries.
Since the cookies have been devoured, I have heard nothing but fabulous compliments of the cookies and next time I visit, I am determined to get some of those famous munchies!

In April of this year, I was feeling generous and placed an order for 3 dozen cookies to bring to my grad school classmates. The cookies were a huge hit and one of my friends asked me to bring more cookies. I told him it was his turn to place an order!
I have so enjoyed ordering goodies from Midnight Munchies. I was really pleased with the variety on the menu; they have just the right amount of options as to not make it too difficult to choose. And the recipes are quite unique too. Orange Creamsicle, Boom Goes the Dynamite and Chocolate Rain make my top 3.

One late night had a hankering for some sweets, so I used Unilocal in an effort to find a spot that was still open. Found Midnight Munchies Bakery and ordered online for pick up. Got there at the time I specified and was met by a friendly baker with a box in his hands. I grabbed the box and it was warm. Got to the car and opened the box and let the heavenly aroma of the cookies waft through my fine luxury vehicle.
When I got to my destination, I was greeted with freshly baked cookies with fine ingredients, with great taste and texture. Ate some the next day and they were still good. I had the Rick Rolled and peanut cookies. I am eagerly looking forward to trying more flavors in the near future.

My mother and I decided to order cookies from Midnight Munchies on a whim last night for the first time; we heard about all the great reviews MM has gotten on Unilocal and finally decided to give it a try.
We ordered through their website after some careful deliberation. We got half a dozen of their assorted cookies (2 Chocolate Rain, 2 RickRoll’d, and 2 Chocolate Chip), as well as half a dozen of their munchcakes. We placed the order around 9PM, and requested that our order be delivered by 11PM.
While we waited for our order, I contemplated the fact that our request for the cookies to be delivered within that time frame may have been unreasonable. However, we received a call around 10PM (an hour after we placed the order), telling us that the driver was outside our door with the delivery.
When we received our cookies, they were warm and fresh out of the oven! I immediately went for the Chocolate Chip cookie (who doesn’t love a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie?) and was in pure bliss. The flavor and texture were incredible! My mother, whose favorite type of cookie is oatmeal, was extremely pleased with the RickRoll’d cookie and her munchcakes.
We are extremely happy with Midnight Munchies’ service and efficiency! We can’t wait to order from them again and try all of their cookie varieties! Definitely order from them if you have a sweet tooth or a weakness for cookies. :-)

Midnight Munchies is so good it doesn’t even make sense. Seriously, here I am next to 2 empty packages I thought I was saving for tomorrow. I usually have excellent willpower. I think I’m going to have to make this a thing and have weekly shipments.

These cookies and munch cakes are phenomenal!
I have booked catering munchcakes with Mark twice now. Once for work, which everyone loved and promptly gobbled up, as well as for my wedding.
While I have not had my wedding yet, he has agreed to deliver outside of the normal delivery area (for a small fee), and is able to handle my order of nearly 200!
For work, we ordered 200 munchcakes, and Mark even helped us create mini munchers, that arent as large. They arrived warm, right on time, and were delicious. Next time we are planning on ordering 250 – 300 simply because the 200 we ordered didnt last through our 150 guests.
They are also the best darn cookies ever! So so so good!

The munchcakes made at Midnight Munchies offer a fresh look at the concept of cookies and cakes, mixing in the sugary sweetness of a fresh-​baked cookie with the soft texture of a cake. The price is extremely agreeable, and given that it is competing in the world of baked foods, Midnight Munchies does a great job of serving its customers well while keeping the exceptional quality of its products. The flavors are completely original, and the taste is reminiscent to that of a homemade cookie — sweet and rich — something that is encountered so rarely these days that such an accomplishment shows the time and thought put into every single pastry.
Choosing to sell these novelty cakes at our club food fair at Gunn High School has definitely been the best decision we have made. The students were extremely intrigued by the new style of baked goods, and found that the munchcakes were so delicious that they often came back for a second or a third. As a result, we sold out completely on the Chocolate Rain, Peanut Butter Jelly Time, and Double Rainbow. There is definitely potential for this bakery, and it is a shame that not many people know of it yet. There is nothing quite as innovative as Midnight Munchies in the Bay Area; it really is a bakery of a different kind.

This is a dieter’s worst nightmare, but it’s SO good for late night cravings. Late night dessert deliveries on weekends ?? Yes please!
Ever have a late night craving for something baked and sweet, but no bakeries are open? Midnight Munchies is your solution. The actual price of the cookies isn’t bad at all — $ 7.50 for 6 cookies, which is actually much less than a lot of other local places. Cookies are ok, but the munch cakes are what I would recommend. They’re cookies baked around an oreo (3 layers: cookie, oreo, cookie). My preferences are chocolate rain and rick rolled.
I really like the concept of this bakery, though it’s definitely bad for the waist line. Paying via Google Checkout is convenient, but you should probably have some cash on hand for tip.

Now, I doubt that I’m the Bakery’s most frequent customer. However, I think I make the top 10. Every weekend I play both Pinkie and the Brain:

This place has a lot going for it. The cookies are fresh (sometimes very so) in a way that say, a boutique cupcake isn’t. Since they deliver until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays, they are open four hours later than anything else that delivers. The $ 12 minimum order is very easy to make– it’s a dozen cookies, or a half dozen, some ice cream, and tip.
Their Chocolate Rain cookies (basically a chocolate fudge-​mint) are amazing when they arrive warm. Their spiced snickerdoodle (Boom Goes the Dynamite) is sublime. Everything else is various degrees of good, except for The Annoying Orange, which has a very chalky artificial flavor to it. The cookies are big, rich, and they keep well for the next day, plus breakfast on the third. To give you a general idea, by myself I can eat nine cookies before they start to get a bit stale. For two or three people a dozen is a perfect amount. It’s a small, friendly operation, and I have a sneaking suspicion that if you asked them to draw a dragon on the box they would do so with gusto.
At the end of it all, who doesn’t want to be awake at midnight, waiting for the doorbell to ring so they can yell «YAY COOKIES!»?

Zomg, writing this as I devour a PBJT cookie… and it’s AMAZING. Cookies got here in under an hour and they were still warm! Every single one of them is delicious and perfect.
Site didn’t have a comments field during checkout, so I had to email them for specific requests on my assorted box, but they totally made note of it and even sent me an extra cookie :) You can’t tip on the card once they deliver, tho, so make sure to have cash/​change in hand if you’d like to do so.
I seriously can’t even believe this business exists, they have a new customer for life.

On Monday I saw a flier advertising their weekend local delivery service, and for the rest of the week I was so excited for Friday so I could get cookies delivered. 10pm on Friday rolled around and I went to their website, and was annoyed that there was no local delivery option. I tried loading the website multiple times, but no local option appeared. I even tried on 3 different devices (phone, iPad, laptop. Don’t judge me — I wanted cookies!)
I tried again about 45 min later, and it finally worked! So I ordered a half dozen «Boom Goes the Dynamite» snickerdoodles. It took them 1 hr 15 min to get here — I had literally picked up my phone to call and complain when they arrived. But they had graciously included 3 free munch cakes (the cookie version of Inception) to make up for the late arrival, which I appreciated.
Anyway, the cookies are really delicious! I’ll definitely be ordering again. On taste alone I’d give them 5 stars, but I have to dock a star for the website annoyance and the lateness.
