Dolly and Shyama Threading Salon

Cashed in a Living Social deal for threading and was very pleased with the service. :) Dolly squeezed me in the day that I called in to make an appointment. She has a VERY gentle touch and was less painful than other threading experiences I’ve had in the past. She was very sweet and not rushed. I felt like she really paid attention to detail and asked me several times if I was pleased with the result. I definitely plan on coming back :)
the threading area is kind of tucked inside a hair salon. just go through the «saloon» doors and you’ll find them :)

Both lady’s are extremely nice and every time Ive come they haven’t made my eyebrows too thin. I love to keep my eyebrows think so I appreciate when someone gets it right the first time. Most places never listen and leave me having to grow them out and look gross for 3 months and I’ve never had that issue here. I’ve become a regular. One day I came in at closing as she still saw me. I recommend this place to everyone.

I been letting my brows grow for quiet a few months now, and Dolly knew exactly what I needed. One of my brows wasn’t as arched as the other and she did an amazing job chapping them the same. I went to Dolly & Shyama for my first threading experience. I unfortunately came away from it with small red bumps that lasted for 3 – 4 days. I thought I’d try threading again since waxing is much harsher on the skin and I brought this up with Dolly. She suggested several options that we could try, including cleaning the skin with alcohol before and after threading, which seemed to work well. No bumps the second time!
They have a great LivingSocial deal for your first visit. Prices have gone up $ 1 – 2 since the photo was uploaded to Unilocal as well.

Just because it was my first time there, Dolly accommodated my request for a full face threading on a day they don’t offer that service (thatz because they are short staffed on Mondays). This was despite the fact that I gave them just a 30 minute notice! Isnt that sweet?!
I would give them a 5 star for that alone, but they are skilled too! It was very obvious that Dolly did what she was doing out of passion and not just for a paycheck. And with employees like that, quality shows! Keep up the good work lady!

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful place. I went to Dolly and Shyama for the first time today and left with beautiful eyebrows. My skin is sensitive to wax and sugaring– I break out in hives on my face. I have been threading for years and just accepted it as being really painful. Dolly and Shyama are so good at what they do that it didn’t hurt at all. I was so surprised at how comfortable I was. The salon is very clean and cute. Very reasonably priced. Excellent customer service.

Shyama and Dolly do an exceptional job with their threading. They are both extremely professional, warm and welcoming. The process is done with great care and minimum pain. The ladies take pride in what they do and always welcome you with a smile. I would highly recommend them. The best threading service in the area.

My friend recommended Dolly and Shyama so I decided to check them out. They are located inside a salon so once I was pointed to their work stations, I was greeted by both of them and was taken care of right away. Dolly did a great job threading my eyebrows — the process was painless and quick. She provides great customer service at reasonable prices! I definitely plan on returning for future eyebrow threading.

This is officially my new go-​to place! I needed a place that was open on Sunday’s so I decided to try this place out. Let me just say I am so glad I did. They are extremely professional and friendly. I am usually really sensitive to threading and it is painful. But, the technique they use here is amazing. You can tell that they definitely have years of experience. As soon as she began to thread my eyebrows I was amazed at how painless and pleasant it was. She took her time to make sure my eyebrows were even and cleaned up to perfection. She also made sure every single hair was gone on my upper lip. If you are considering going here I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed

Just got my brows and upper lip done… Love it! This is my first time coming here as I just moved to the area. I used a Living social coupon ($ 11 for eyebrow and lip, not including tip) which was a great deal! My lady was nice and professional. I’m picky about how I like my brows done but she did great so I’ll definitely be back. I also usually tear up when I get threaded but I didn’t shed a tear this time. Not sure what’s different about her technique but I love it!

If you’re like me, you NEED threading! The moment I discovered threading, I’ve been fortunate to find amazing threading services; and I’m so happy I met Dolly and Shyama! I cannot describe how happy they have their own, well lit, place to practice their art of maintaining their clients’ threading needs; in my case maintaining my brows! If you need or want threading, you have to see these ladies :), you won’t be sorry!

So happy they opened up their little salon. I just discovered I bar closed in downtown Palo Alto and wasn’t sure where to go. I’ve been to places in mt view but the quality of service isn’t very good. Threading was great plus prices are better than I bar. I’ll be back! Ps both of them used to work at I bar.

Bought a deal on living social for eyebrow and upper lip threading. Customer service was great and the salon itself is well kept and very clean. Shyama did a great job and gave me exactly what I had asked for, and even gave some recommendations on how to maintain my brows. Prices are reasonable — would definitely recommend.

Dolly&shyama I love you guys! You guys are the best! I’m So happy you were able to start your own business, you guys seem so much happier and the fact the all your customers hunt you guys down just to get threaded by you girls is so amazing keep up the good work! Both of these ladies are the best in town!
I started with them at the Ibar in Palo Alto 6years ago and after they left that place my eyebrows suffered different hands and just last week I found them here on Unilocal.I am so happy that I was able to find them. They are both very caring and very professional at what they do. I highly recommend them.

I have been seeing these ladies for a few years now and I have to tell you that they are the best! Their work is incredible, I have beautiful eyebrows every time I leave and they are very professional and kind. They started at another company and I was overjoyed to hear that they went off on their own to create their own business. I highly recommend these ladies over any other local brow threading location. They are also slightly less expensive which is nice.

I love these ladies! I was shayama’s client when she was at ibar and i followed her over to this new place. I love her! She has never messed my eyebrows up… not once! I will continue to drive from the east bay to get my eyebrows done with them. I highly recommend them!

These ladies are the BEST!
I am super particular about my eyebrows. I have gotten them waxed or threaded for 15 years and I have gone through so many different threaders, even going so far as Fremont.
But, here in Menlo Park, I found the best service in the whole bay area. I’m not just saying this because I really like Dolly and Shyama (which I do, because they are so sweet and accommodating) but because they are expert threaders. Seriously, my eyebrows have never looked better.
It’s not even painful and even though a little redness is unavoidable, when Dolly or Shyama do my threading, the redness goes away in like 10 minutes (and I have sensitive skin). Also, way less expensive than most places on the Peninsula, with I think $ 14 for the eyebrow threading.
It can be a little hard to find — they are located in a small room inside DJ’s Hair salon, so you have to go into the hair salon and turn left and there’s a small sign for Dolly and Shyama. It’s a bit complicated but you can call them at 510−943−8966 if you get lost. I always text beforehand just to make sure they’re free.
Okay, that enough for my effusive compliments! Seriously, they are expert threaders and the best I have found in the Bay Area.
