Bow Wow Bath House

Yesterday was our dog’s first visit. Bow Wow Bath House did an amazing job! Dixie looks and smells better than ever! Service was great and she was ready on time. Very reasonable prices. We found our new groomer!

The worst groomers I’ve ever been to they said it would be a couple of hours because they were short handed they would call ok, So four hours later I called to see if they were done no they were just starting on them it would be another hour they would call. two more hours went by so I just went down there to make sure they didn’t lose them (my Dogs), They brought them out to me and they looked like Chihuahuas, they were Yorkie Poos when I dropped them off. So it took them six hours to (totally ignoring everything I asked for) just go ahead and shave them. I’ll never go back there, and I would strongly advise anyone reading this to avoid it as well.

Beware of places that only have one star and five star reviews. I would never take my dogs back here again. The owner does not care about the animals… at all.

I just moved to the area and wanted to find a good do it yourself dog wash. I am glad I found this place. I went in 30 minutes to closing and hoped I could get done before they closed. They ended up staying open later to finish late dog grooming appointments. They were very nice to me and VERY helpful. The owner was hands on and very friendly. I will be back for sure. Thank you!

I have taken my Maltese to this place 3 x’s twice while they were still in lake Elsinore and once in Menifee. Why I have never read their reviews until now i don’t know. But I will never again take my Maltese here again.
I brought my Maltese for a haircut here about 2 weeks ago and I was told I would get a call when she was ready ok no problem. I got a phone call about 3 hours later saying my dog was super matted and needed to go short. dale the owner sounded like he needed to tell me something and was very quiet after he said this and I said ok well if you think she’s that matter then go ahead and go short. I had brushed her the night before and that morning so I knew she wasn’t that matted except for a little behind her ears. Well I showed up to pick her up about an hour later and they had a worried look on their faces and they bring my dog out with a cut on her leg they had or liquid bandage on the cut and said they would not charge for the cut and apologized. Bc of the liquid bandage I couldn’t tell how bad the cut was until I got home and looked at it under the light. It was horrible. My dog was limping all night so first thing in the morning I brought her to the vet and I was told she needed 6 to 8 stitches and also had a loose tooth. I called the owner and they agreed to pay the vet bill and they did pay me. My dog ended up losing her tooth and was on antibiotics to prevent an infection for two weeks and her leg is finally healing. She still looks sad and doesn’t eat as well as she was and when I leave her at my moms when we go anywhere my mom says she is very depressed and doesn’t move. She said she’s been like that since this happened. If this has happened before I wonder why he hasn’t been reported and their shop closed. Please do not go here. I will not be goin back.

The staff was very friendly and made us feel comfortable about leaving our dogs with them. They are very busy on the weekends so it can take several hours before your pets are ready to pick up. drop off early if you are in a hurry. They lost one of our leashes And did not offer to replace it or offer any discount to our bill. They said «maybe we will find it later». With so many people in line picking up and dropping off dogs I let it go. I’m sure it was sent out with another dog. I was happy with the grooming performed and i will go back.

Been taking our dog here for years. The people that work there have always been so great with her, especially the owners daughters. They always do such a great job with her and she loves them.
Most of the employees are fairly friendly.
The owner knows our dog by name and she always enjoys saying hi to him.
We self wash sometimes and the tubs are always cleaned after each dog. They mix the shampoos and conditioners for you and don’t mind you using the whole thing or even more. You’re able to wash, condition, facial wash, brush teeth, and clean their ears out, all included in the price.
Since they’ve moved from the Elsinore location I find it to be MUCH better.
Much bigger space and more room for the dogs. I don’t feel so cramped next to people when washing my dog.
Definitely our go to place!

I have been a customer for about 5 years now, just took my three dogs for self bath service today. I am very satisfied with their services and products they use. Dale and staff are always so fun, nice and professional and very inexpensive compared to other grooming places. I will continue to take my dogs to Bow Wow Bathhouse, the new location is even closer to me which also helps. Bow Wow Bath house gets a very deserving 5 stars rating. I recommend it!!!

I have been coming to Bow Wow since they have opened and it has been nothing but AMAZING! My dog (chip) has never liked going to any groomer until I found Bow Wow, this place treats your dog like its their own. They have helped me with his allergies, and even boarding him with ultimate care. I have no idea why people are saying anything bad about this place, chip is now 10 years old and still has allergies but Bow Wow has helped keep everything under control, they will help you with nutritional guidelines and all care products. I will suggest giving them a try cause I don’t think you will regret it! Having my restaurant close by makes it so convenient and they even drop him off at times. THIS PLACE REALLY GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND.. . THANKS BOW WOW!

If I could give zero, I would. I will try to write this review with as many details to help people in making their decision. I was looking for a facility to board my 2 year old Doberman-​Whippet mix. His trainer was overbooked the weekend and couldn’t board him for me this time. The Owner, Dale, told me to bring my dog to see how his temperament was, and how he would get along with the other dogs in the shop. When I arrived, everything was very much disorganized. to be fair, the owner said they were moving their shop from Elsinore. My dog isn’t around other dogs much, but he loves to play. He seemed to get along with the other dogs just fine. The dogs aren’t in cages and roam free while they are there, which seemed fine to me as I thought being in a cage in a strange place would make my dog anxious. The owner was ok with my dog’s temperament. I asked him how boarding with him would work, and gave him all the details about him I could. he asked if he was a jumper. I said, yes. He asked if he needed to be walked to relieve himself. I said, no. That he just needed to be let outside. He asked if he was an indoor dog. I said, yes. Finally, we agreed on a drop time and pick up time. He said I would pick up my dog on Monday since Sunday, they are closed. I asked him where my dog would be then at night. It didn’t look like they had the separate kennels or anything. He said he takes the dogs home so they are more comfortable. I told him I was ok with that cause my dog might get anxious if he was left alone in a strange place. I TOLD HIM THIS! He said no, we take the dogs at home to make them the most comfortable. Well, fast forward. I was driving back from my weekend trip. My husband and I hit really bad traffic, but I wasn’t worried cause pick up times for our kids from Grandma was at 9pm and my dog tomorrow. Well, I get a call at 6:47 pm. The lady on the phone was nice and apologetic and asked if we could get him today. She explained he was not doing well and needed to come home. I told her I could but I was still very, very far away and that I would do my best to get there as soon as possible. I said I might be in the area by 9. But by 9, it wasn’t going to happen, My husband got super car sick and was throwing up for 20 min. I was nice enough to call them and apologize. I left them a message and explained I was just going to pass Moreno valley. I was in Riverside on the 60E, Our kids are in Moreno Valley with Grandma. The guy calls me back, Extremely RUDE, with an attitude. Oh first you say one thing then another, and I am not keeping your dog. He needs to go today, the chewed a door to pieces, it was a $ 600 door. I need a time when you are going to get him, I said 30 – 45 min. He started to scoff and say, really. Like he was having a child fit! I asked him what he could have possibly done to my dog that he destroyed a 600.00 door. He left my dog BY HIMSELF at the shop with no OTHER DOGS nothing BY HIMSELF! That IS NOT what we had agreed on! WHY ON EARTH HE WOULD LEAVE MY DOG LIKE THAT?! He continued to tell me that he needed me to get him, and that not to tell him 30 min and let it be two hours cause it seemed I was «doing a lot of running around». I apologized – even with all that – and said I would get there as soon as possible. By now I was extremely irate however, and told him that I wasn’t going to rush back and risk getting in an accident. I told him: If I die – nobody is going to be picking up this dog. I finally got to pick him up. I asked him why he didn’t take my dog like we agreed. He started to say it was because they were moving everything from one shop to the other, and he needed to sleep, and that his family who helped him, had a right to get sleep. That he owed them that. WTF?! Excuse me! But, if you had too much on your plate, WHY TAKE IN BOARD DOGS! There was no sign up any chewed up door like he said. You would think that would be the first thing he showed me. My dog was in such a hurry to get away. He defeated! he very tiredly licked my face, and slowly dragged my husband to our car, where he jumped on my daughter’s lap and feel asleep. At home, he straight drank like a liter of water sooo thirsty. He was very lethargic and not happy at all, I gave him a bath, he was super dirty, like they just kicked him outside. They told me they kept him in doors, But he was dirty – like REALLY DIRTY. He slept till 12:55am and got up, went downstairs and drank tons more water, walked aimlessly. Sounded like he was going to throw up, I petted him and rubbed his tummy and he finally found a place in my dining room to plop down on, HE NEVER SLEEPS on the floor like that. He’s been sleeping all day today, but uneasy… seems like he is having bad dreams and gnarling in his sleep. He’s not done that! NEVER AGAIN! That guy shouldn’t be around pets. And honestly unless you have a Stepford-​DOG. Don’t take them here –cause if you have a dog that acts like a dog your in trouble.

Finally found a place that get the job done! they did a wonderful job with my schnauzers cut. Very friendly staff! Grateful that she wasn’t in a crate while waiting to get cut and picked up like another place I’ve tried. I’ll definitely be back

I love this place! They take such great care of me and my pup… They definatly spend there time and are very careful with all the pups there… Dale is a wonderful guy and he cares about each and every dog that visits his shop… Sad to see negative reviews on sucha great place… My suggestion is to definatly try this place out if you are looking for a groomer!

I have taken my grandmothers cats here for close to 2 years now (I will refer to them as my cats) I took them in August, nothing was done. They were given baths, but were not trimmed, one cat had matts of hair around his rear. I called the owner, he said he would look into this, and get back with me. I never heard from him. I thought I would give them another try. I took them in, he said he would groom them free of charge because of my last visit. They were done beautifully. No complaints with the grooming job given. My complaint is with the owner. He brought my cats out, but sat them down (he leaned on their carrier, I felt as if my cats were being held hostage) and proceeded to question me about the visit before. Stating he found no record of my August visit and that the last he saw in his records was in June. He then asked me if I was sure I took them to his facility. Really?! Like I don’t know where I take my cats to be groomed! So unprofessional! I WILL NOT be taking my pets back here again. I did call him when I got home and looked at my bank records, I gave him the exact date in August I had taken them in to be groomed. He didn’t apologize for questioning me. Learn how to treat your customers and keep better records!
