Katydid Flowers

Im getting married in September and wanted to find the best local florist in town.
I found Katydid to be the closest to our venue. So I set up the meeting with her, and everything seemed to be going smoothly… She said she was super busy that weekend and would email me first thing on Monday morning with a quote and said «Look it over and once you have a heart attack, give me a call». I was a bit confused by her «Im going to hit you hard with a price and then we can talk it over if you dont like it» attitude. So, on Monday morning, I get a quote for over 1400. Ok, I get your a florist, flowers are expensive, whatever. But Im not in no way, no how, spending 1400 on flowers FOR ONE GD DAY. So, I called her, like she told me to, and said «Look, your price was fair, but way out of our budget, can we talk about maybe keeping around or under 1000??». Her attitude changed completely from her friendly «Thank you for calling Katydid.» and her reminder again about how busy they are… To a «Ill email you» with a hang up of the phone. And guess what? She never emailed me back… this was over three weeks ago. So, I took my business elsewhere.
The only reason I would even consider giving Katydid two stars is because she really does do nice work. But not for 1400. Flowers for 5 hours that are just going to die. My dress didnt even cost that much!

Beautiful new store, with a great selection of flowers. I asked for a $ 50 fresh cut bouquet with lots of purple for my girlfriend, and I don’t know the name of the flowers but she loved them, especially the purple roses. And on my end, the bouquet was about twice as big as what I have been getting from the place down the road for the same price. Great selection and service! Will definitely be going back.
