Perfume Mendo

Judith and Keith are both very nice. The unusual perfumes are a nice find, and their own brand of essential oils and perfumes is excellent. Love this place!

Love this store! I have looked forward to coming to this store every year since I discovered it a couple of years ago. Judith is a gratious guide through the world of fragrance — I’m never disappointed with what I come home with. There are fragrances here that you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else. See you again this August!

Best perfume shop I’ve ever seen in CA. Very well informed, sophisticated and classy proprietress. Huge huge variety of scents. Not all are expensive. She even has some local home brewed coastal scents right in there with the items from Paris costing a small fortune. A friend said that there was a very hard to find perfume that was ONLY available in Paris and it could not possibly be in this shop. Wrong… It was. No pressure to buy. Gracious. You can try scents before deciding. Great place to find the scent that really suits you or your mate. Highly recommended.

Judith, I’m still looking for Quadrille by Balenciaga but you introduced me to a locally made perfume — Woody Floral. I love it! Today a man followed me out of mass and asked if I would tell him the name of my fragrance — I called him w/​the info. You may have another customer soon — he said he «had to have that perfume»! What a treat. I went to visit Perfume Mendo on the basis of the Unilocal reviews and what a wonderful experience it was. Judith and her husband are just delightful and I came out with a fragrance that I had not seen anywhere else. She took the time to find out what it was I liked and then suggested various options based on my past perfume wearing history. It was also a walk down memory lane for me as she stocks many perfumes that my mum wore and that are no longer widely available. If you’re looking for a special fragrance and experience then I highly recommend visiting Perfume Mendo on your next trip to Mendocino.

If you love fragrance or want to buy a gift for someone who likes perfumes — then indulge in Perfume Mendo. First, I must say, that I’ve loved perfume ever since I was a teen — so while my hunt for a different scent has «matured». That’s what I love about Perfume Mendo. Judith is very knowledgeable and has been in the business for many years. I love to hear her expertise and Perfume Mendo is now my tradition.
Every time I go to Mendocino, I stop in her store and buy perfume from her. I have quite the collection now and I love that the fragrances are not usually ones that I’ve seen in major retail stores like Nordstrom’s or Saks. She’s got some unique fragrances and I love how some of them are packaged. So fun!
I am happy to say Perfume Mendo is still in Mendocino Village! They moved to a smaller shop, but it’s still there. Judity knows her scents and listens to what you’re looking for and also gives a sense of the personality that would go with each fragrance. oh! She started her own line now, too! She even captured the scent of Mendocino in the winter — the smokiness of the wood fires. It’s uncanny!
I am a big fan of hers and her store. I definitely it’s worth a visit.

Very Very Rude. I went in on a holiday trip last year looking for a Perfume My girlfriend asked me for (the name of which slips by right now) however I needed the Eau De Parfum. I gave her the name and explained what i needed. She corrected me and said So you want Parfum and handed me a Tiny Bottle for $ 90 I stated, I needed the Eau De Parfum, not pure parfum. She states they are the same. I explained I’ve bought this before so i know the difference, and need the EDP. She starts got angry and started speaking down & belittling me in french (i dont speak french) I left and would Never go back.

We’ve visited Mendocino many times and the owners, Judith and Keith, are nice, honest, helpful people. They not only have a broad selection of historical fragrances but also specialize in regional emerging brands.

Where to start. I frequent Main Street in Mendocino and always stop by Mendo Perfume. First off, this shop seems to carry not only modern fragrances but popular and well sought-​after fragrance formulas dating back thousands of years! Second, both partners are very knowledgable in each product and product line represented in the shop. Kieth is the gentleman and I’m not sure if the woman is his wife or business partner but both are fabulous to speak with.
In April ’09 I went in to the shop seeking a very unusal fragrance, Tobacco Flower, and I asked the woman if they had it. Her eyes lit up and she handed me a small bottle filled with Tobacoo Flower oil! I couldn’t believe it. She told me the history of the fragrance and the perfumery it came from in Italy. She actually purchased the item straight from the perfumery which has been in operation for thousands of years.
Even if you do not plan to purchase any fragrance it’s worth a walk into their shop because they have so many other items to tickle your senses like soaps, some quality incense and lotions.
