Specialties

It’s all about results. If not, why even bother? When you train with Tommy Gerber (NCCPT Certified Personal Trainer), you train with the best of Memphis. I specialize in weight loss (or gain, if need be), strength, conditioning and sport specific training, and, of course, nutrition and diet consultations. Utilizing free weights, traditional machines, kettlebells and a few devices you’ve probably never seen, I will custom-tailor a package to suit your individual needs. All exercise plans come with the diet plan necessary to help you reach your goals. Moreover, the various techniques I utilize enable me to keep your workouts, fun, efficient and productive. Paired with the correct nutrition plan, there is no goal that cannot be reached.

History

Established in 2001.

The roots of my business go back to my training. I saw my trainer work with people of all ages and sizes. Accordingly, I learned something very important. Nobody knows how to burn fat more efficiently than professional bodybuilders because that is what they do for a living. When I received my personal training certification and started training on my own, it was these techniques (both diet and exercise) that I applied. We’re not talking about super heavy lifting, drugs or crazy diets. Just basic principles which bodybuilders employ that apply to the general public. I took what I learned and created even more effective programs. I practiced law at the time and never saw personal training as my full time occupation. My clients, however, got such great results that soon I was training so many people I did not have to practice law. Now, I am the busiest trainer in Memphis because my clients not only accomplish their goals, but we do it through enjoyable, life style friendly programs.

Meet the Business Owner

Tommy G.

Business Owner

It wasn’t that many years ago that I was in the same, or worse, shape than most of the people who may be thinking about coming to me. I was a lawyer who tipped the scales at over 280 lbs. I had just finished two hot dogs and a milk shake when it hit me like a ton of bricks — «I have to do something — I’m just disgusted with myself». It was like an alcoholic hitting rock bottom. I walked out of the hot dog shop into a gym located next door. I was hoping to lose a few pounds and a couple inches off my ample waist. I never dreamed it would change my life. Not that dieting and exercise is always easy. But, having accepted the challenge, it wasn’t that hard to stay on the program. I worked with my trainer for almost a year — but my weight came off in about 3 months and I was building the body I always wanted. Now, it is my mission to impart what I have learned and developed to my clients so they can enjoy all the great things, both physically and mentally, that come with being in shape.
