The West Clinic

Things have changed a lot at the West Clinic, in that they have progressed in confidentiality by using the beepers so your name is not called out loud. Oh and I just found out that they are moving in November because they’ve outgrown this facility on Humphrey Blvd.

This is my first chemotherapy experience and the wonderful staff and doctors make this an amazing experience. From the check-​in experience through the entire visit, this office runs the best I have had in a facility of this size!
All the staff are happy to be there and you receive the best possible care especially given the complexity of services. I recently had an experience where all my appointments had been erased from the system by another office. But was I turned away? Absolutely not! Everyone possible jumped into action to take care of me (many apologizing even though it was not their fault!). I was seen and treated and even spoken to by several members to assure me all was well. (When was the last time a doctor’s office followed-​up to check on you when the incident was not even their fault???)
The icing on the cake is the wonderful group of Wings volunteers! From your first visit you are greeted many times and Marsha has become my new guardian angel! (One a recent visit, I was having a very day and she sat with me and made sure I had everything I needed and then some!
The entire staff of the Humphrey’s staff are to be commended for going above and beyond anything you would expect from a medical treatment facility!

West Clinic staff has gotten extremely inefficient over the years particularly at the front desk and in area where blood is drawn.
Charitably I think the staff is inexperienced, confused & unsure of what do with the ten patients waiting. There are as many staff members standing around as waiting patients. Lots of employees around strongly suggests there are many training opportunities to improve staff efficiency & customer service.

Dr. Oswaks is great. Just don’t be late …
