Description

Specialties

Artisan cocktails including Sazerac, Old Fashion, Side Car, Mojito and Pegu etc. Our fresh oysters are served on the half shell or baked as Oysters Casino, Oysters Rockefeller or our fabulous Blue Cheese Oysters.

History

Established in 2007.

Our present location was purchased in 2005 (a run down beer joint in a run down neighborhood). There were no plans to develope the bldg. and certainly no plans for a bar /restaurant. The following spring of 2006 a midtown Memphis seafood institution Anderton’s went out of business. On whim I went to their liquidation auction and ended up with a boat bar, lanterns and nautical murals all for practically a give away! When storing them in our present bldg. Everything fit so perfectly (as if they were made to order) that was really uncanny! So I figured it was a sign and 1 ½ yr. later we were open as The Cove.

Meet the Business Owner

James M.

Business Owner

After being in the interior decorating racket for 25 yrs. I became burned out and wanted a change. After several coincidental and fortuitous events I became the proprietor of nautical themed bar — something I had no experience at what so ever. It has been quite an interesting journey with twist and turns that I would have never dreamed of.
