I’ve been about 5 times. Desserts are awesome. The meat and salad bar is above average but it’s really nothing special. Yes it is all you can eat… but the food itself is so salty that you don’t really leave there happy… more like bloated and uncomfortable.

This is probably the best food I’ve had at any Brazilian style steakhouse. This is also where I lost my virginity to the Brazilian steakhouse experience many years ago so since it was my first I have extra attachment to it. The meat is frequently brought around and the portions are very generous. The service was attentive and the food bar is kept well stocked with an excellent selection of delicious items. I feasted to beyond my hearts content and was very well prepared to hibernate for two winters after dinner.

My wife and I went downtown just to eat lunch here today. The service was friendly and quick. The salad bar fresh and tasty. The meats, awesome ! At $ 25.00 a person this is not an everyday lunch place for us. But it’s Christmas Eve and we’re worth it.

Obviously most that have written good review have not visited too many Churrascaria Brazilian Restaurants. This one is just okay. Steaks were not good at all, need new chef. Service was okay. The female waitress was very friendly, but others were not friendly at all.

Fabulous! Let me start by saying there kitchen had caught on fire right before dinner service started. That didn’t stop them. They pulled there catering grill outside and still cooked and managed to serve delicious food. The filet, lamb, and shrimp ceviche were my favorites. Try to save room for dessert because it is really good too.

Meh. My husband and I went there for lunch and were not impressed. First off, my cup was dirty! Kinda gross! I guess maybe things were just so hyped that my expectations were too high? I was really looking forward to a fabulous salad bar that would blow my mind but I just found it lacking. The lettuce was a bit brown/wasn’t fresh and the lobster bisque was quite greasy. Usually I’m not overly hard to please but, for the money spent, I was not impressed.

My first visit to Texas de Brazil left a good impression. I had previously requested a more private table in my reservation, and they accommodated me and my girlfriend nicely. The waitress was very knowledgeable and very friendly, albeit a tad pushy when it came to recommendations of wine and the like. The all-you-can-eat bar is stocked amazingly, and if you are not careful you can easily get full just on it. The lobster bisque was simple great and the salad options were a nice complement to the meat. The cheese bread was pretty nice and different as well. In regard to the meat, it was a little overwhelming. I mean, you can stop the guys from coming, but with the dinner price you usually want to at least get to try all the cuts, so we kept them coming. Some cuts were nice, others not so much. I would say it was half and half. Our favorite was the filet mignon wrapped in bacon. Man, that thing was very very good. We were celebrating, so we tried some of the sangria. I only wanted a glass, and the waitress brought a whole pitch, which was a bit unfortunate, but we didn’t want to be rude and figured it was a party anyway. Still, I would NOT recommend getting a pitcher of that just for 2 people. We had to ATTACK that thing to finish it. Make sure to get a coupon before you go to make the price more accessible. They usually have a bunch and you can get them all in their website or by signing up for their newsletter beforehand. At the end of it we were FULL, but I think it was worth the visit.

I’m visiting home. Memphis is home. I missed my fancy #BrunchificationRitual spot because I slept in. I just want somebody to take me to fancy brunch. I know where the fancy brunches are. I’ve had most of them… If I’m not having my standard then I want something new. Enter Texas de Brazil. I’ve never been. I’ve heard good things. The innerwebs say they offer brunch. Color me excited! I call, the person who answers informs me they«have brunch items on the salad bar.» I’m cool, it’s a Churrascaria(Brazilian steakhouse). It’s also pronounced(Texas not Tejas as my Latin tongue is inclined to say). I want meat! Let’s do it! So first sign that this may not go well. I think it was a date, as per usual I brought a friend and so now it’s not a date and kinda awkward, but there is endless meat… So, it may actually go well. Then because downtown parking sucks(pretty much every downtown). We have to pay for parking(heads up, call ahead and see which parking they will validate and save $ 10 or more). Now then, we get in, we get seated. Brunch comes with 1 free Mimosa(as advertised) and I’m pretty happy because drinks… The Mimosa is ok, not noteworthy other than being complimentary. I visit the salad bar, which is really so much more… It’s crudités, canapé, fruit and and extensive olive and cheese offerings. And they have smoked salmon and capers and that makes me happy. There are«brunch items» and it’s obvious the opulently decorated restaurant isn’t really serving fancy brunch… And I’m ok with that because the cheese and olives are almost worth it… Yes, it’s kinda pricey… And I would totally spend my money on fancy cheeses. Back at the table our attentive server has served our water and drinks and is now explaining the green card/red card service dynamic. We all flip our cards… I don’t eat pork and I don’t like chicken so I pass on all of those offerings. I partake of the lamb, the lamp chop, and two kinds of steak… The second a medallion type is my favorite! I have it twice. The first lamb is my least favorite. It’s a little dry and flavorless. Everything else is well seasoned and the cuts are served at different temps, so my friends can have their well done meat and I can have my medium… Again, I was here for the meat and I was more than accommodated. And because I was indulging… I also had dessert. Key Lime Pie! And it was delicious. Overall, I definitely got what I paid for and I’m glad I was finally able to check out Texas de Brazil. Not brunch… But go meat!

Yeah… What ISN’T there to love about this place. I remember being treated to TDB as a surprise on my birthday years ago. Since then, it has been one of my favorite restaurants. I’m never disappointed. The service is usually great. If the greeters suck(which, once in a blue moon, is sometimes«that time of the month» for the poor soul), then the food makes me forget that bad aftertaste I experienced upon entering the wonderfully placed building. The food will FILLYOUUP. I suggest drinking water before the main course is served, as not to become full too quickly. The salad bar is surely one not to be missed. You get all the assortments of cheese, some real, wonderfully tasting salad dressings to coat your greens, and the soups are out of this world. Then, comes the meat. Endless slices, or cuts of different meats are brought, impaled on swords, to your table and then placed on your plate if you desire. That is, of course, until you have had your fill. Then, you simply flip a colored card over to indicate that you are stuffed like a Thanksgiving Turkey. I implore you to not only try this place out, but to come again, and again, and again.

Absolutely, breathtakingly divine! First time visit to celebrate my birthday with my fiancé. Shout out to Andrew S. for making this night exceptionally amazing! Very accommodating, informative, and made us all around comfortable. It was a fabulous experience, and the value was well worth it. The garlic sirloin was definitely a favorite, as well as the leg of lamb. I don’t even like lamb, but this was seasoned and cooked to perfection! Do not get me started on the chocolate dessert…(OMG!!!)

Everything tasted great, minus the leg of lamb. It was overcooked and tasted… weird…kinda fishy. Our first time here, the salad bar is out of this world great. The lobster bisque is yum, but people need to pump the brakes saying it is SO good. Our service was top notch. It was a bit overwhelming with the meat servers coming by often, even with your card flipped to red. 2 people for $ 300+ was a little much, in my opinion. We did get a $ 115 bottle of wine and a few after dinner shots. That being said. Everything tasted great, but I will never crave Texas De Brazil like I do Iris. Texas has to be easier to get a reservation, but go with Iris if you want a nice… no. super nice dinner.

Nothing disappointed. The salad bar left you wondering if that was the only reason you were there! But when you flipped the meat card over to green, you wished you didn’t fill up on all the tasty bites for appetizers. All the meat was cooked perfectly(even for a rare-lover like myself), and there was no short of options. We ordered a bottle of red wine and indulged a little, because when you’re spending that much for dinner, why not? The price was definitely worth what you received at your table alone, plus the all you can eat factor. Service was always on point, granted it was a weeknight. I’m not sure how busy it can get on the weekends! The atmosphere was warm and romantic, I enjoyed it very much. Overall, I will for sure go back to this meat haven, once my funds allow it!

Lately, great service is hard to find. The moment we were sat the server, Jessica, showed no interest in us. We walked over to the bar to attempt to order drinks and the manager and bartender mentioned we could order for happy hour at our table with our server. Clearly, our server didn’t inform us about anything. The manager let us know that happy hour would end soon and to let the server know to order 2 – 3 drinks so we would still get the discount. She said she can’t serve more than one at a time when we told her… We’re aware, we figured she would just tell the bartender when she was ready for the others. The food was good, but if the service is poor it takes away from the experience. She didn’t even say happy anniversary after reading it on the card. At the end, I ordered pecan pie and my boyfriend isn’t allergic to pecans, but certain nuts can also be cooked into different pecan pies so we asked another server because we couldn’t find ours if it included other nuts. The server said there were also tree nuts, so my boyfriend didn’t eat his share. When our server finally showed up, She said«I didn’t come over to talk to you about the dessert, because I thought the server that told me that was joking. Yeen know that when you ordered the pecan pie that you were allergic to nuts?» The whole experience seemed like she didn’t treat us well because she didn’t think we would tip well. It’s funny because we both are in the service industry. It was horrible. The only good thing that happened was the bartender and the manager from the moment we entered and the moment we left. They were extremely helpful. I should have given a 20−30% tip to the bartender, he sounded like he gave more of a damn of the experience than the server. Stay away from Jessica and her unprofessional, broken pen pink.

The coolest steakhouse I’ve ever been to yet. Great Service. Great Atmosphere with awesome salad bar and then guys come around with big chunks of all sorts of meat that they’ll cut off onto your plate. Make sure you’re really hungry when you come.

Before I even start singing their praises, I have to begin my review with a qualifier. I would never have come here on my student budget had someone else not invited me. This place is probably one of the most expensive places in town, but it’s so worth it. Texas de Brazil is literally as good as it gets for a restaurant. Their food is absolutely amazing. I’m a vegetarian and was a little worried when I knew that this was where we were going to eat that night. I mean I heard about the never-ending servers coming to your table with endless skewers of freshly cooked meat. But when I saw that giant cube of a salad bar(taking up a huge chunk of space in the restaurant), I nearly had a heart attack. It is stocked with all kinds of items that would make anyone’s heart skip a beat. So many delicious veggies, so much cheese(fresh mozzarella balls anyone?!), and tons of other things! I had no room on my plate for all the stuff I wanted to try. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever actually eaten this much in my life. And for you carnivores out there, the meat selection was remarkable. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this much meat in my life. All kinds of it cooked in all kinds of ways. Those in our party that were meat-eaters could not say no to the different types of meat that the servers were bringing to our table, and we nearly had a legit food coma situation going on. Their wine selection is absolutely amazing. Their desserts are to die for. We tried 4 of the options they had that night, and each one of them tasted fantastic. The other thing is that the servers are so darn polite and so incredibly attentive. They were very helpful with their explanation of how the place works, and with their descriptions of the desert options. They all clearly liked working there which is very rare to see these days with servers. When I got up to get another plateful of salad bar yummies, I had left my napkin crumpled up on my chair. I came back to find that the server had folded up my napkin for me and placed it on the table! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that happen before. So if you have the cash to spare and are looking for something fancy, or if you just want to go somewhere nice with someone for a special occasion, I highly recommend this place(especially if you are an avid meat eater!!).

I have been here a couple times both lunch and dinner as well as with a large outing with work. Can’t go wrong unless you are a vegetarian. Although the«salad bar» alone will have you stuffed — great selection including fresh sushi. Excellent lobster bisque and smoked salmon! And kid friendly. Took our 5 month old.

Three stars based on the place being inconsistent. Really good one time in and just not so much the next. Salad bar is usually great and may be my favorite part of dinner. The lobster bisque can be a bit fishy at times. It’s good when they bring a fresh batch out. The meats are great when they aren’t freakishly over salted. They can be almost inedible due to the salt. This varies greatly from night to night. Desserts are pretty good on their chance you have room after eating. Drinks are good and he bar staff is usually on there game.
