I was sad to read some of the negative reviews about this place. I don’t get to come here very often, because I only drink tea when I’m in the mood, not habitually. So, I usually buy it in larger quantities and it lasts me a while. Every time I have been in this location though, I’ve been met with friendly staff ready to help and make suggestions. I went in today and bought a tumbler and a couple oz of tea(I bought a pound online yesterday to take advantage of a coupon code, so I was pretty well stocked already). Allison was working when I went in and she was very nice and gave me lots of tips for the teas I’d ordered online and even suggested the tea I bought in store to blend with some of the ones I bought on line. She was very personable and a good saleswoman. She answered all of my questions and made her suggestions, but she didn’t hover. I always appreciate that in the retail business. Things can be a little pricey here, but other than that, I give them a thumbs up from my personal experience. I’m appalled to hear that there was discrimination going on(from another Unilocal review), and I hope that issue will be dealt with quickly. It’s unacceptable.

So they have a bigot or two working here. I was in here last week, as I usually get a cup of tea a day, talking to another regular customer while our tea steeps. Conversation goes from new years plans to family members being gay and gay neighbors in different cities. We are approached by the assistant manager and told to stop talking. I ask her if she has a problem with gay people, and her only response is. «You need to stop talking or get out». She was asked several times what her problem was, and all I heard was scoffs and mumbled remarks. Her behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable and clearly shows that she has an issue with the topic of gay people. You should really think about supporting such an organization if that is her stance.

I love teavana! Mostly everyone is kind and helpful! They also have a few samples out that you can try. Every tea I’ve ever had is so yummy! Its pricey but if your a tea fanatic it’s worth it.

I used to love Teavana but since Starbucks bought it their quality has taken a major nose dive. This location no longer makes their tea to go for you in a tea maker instead they give you a cup of hot water and a tea bag. Which teavana at one point was anti tea bags. Here’s the problem it changes the flavor of the tea, it robs you because once you remove the bag you just paid $ 6 for half a cup of tea and you now have to try to judge the steep time without a timer. Not a fan any longer :-(I don’t even order it by the cups and why should I believe their tea quality is still worth the high dollar price if they aren’t even committed enough to make a cup. Sad

We often pass this cute little spot and never take a second gander but this time?! We did and it was well worth it. The ladies gave us loads of options to try: Oprah’s Chai Tea, Orange Blossom but we went for the Raspberry lime aid. It’s a must try. Be sure and mix it up. They have massive amounts of Teas, accessories and the like. Ignoring this spot Is NOT a good idea.

I love Teavana. If for nothing else, I love them for so kindly looking away when I take three sample cups of the Blueberry Bliss Pineapple Kona Pop. It’s obviously very expensive, and that makes my tea-loving heart sad. But the tea is very good quality and you can usually get discount canisters to store it in, which is nice. If I remember correctly, there’s a two ounce minimum for buying teas, which can be confusing if you’re not aware. The employees are very helpful and knowledgable. They have good suggestions based on what you like, and they’re happy to let you smell whatever tea you want. They’re also really patient with those who aren’t very tea savvy. If you’re not broke like me, I highly suggest you go buy a cup of tea. Or, if you do happen to be broke… the samples are lovely.

This place uses more high pressure selling tactics than a used car dealership. I went in looking for some tea to sample for myself and tried to buy a simple jasmine tea. The nice lady at the counter asked me three times if I wanted to buy a canister that would hold a pound of tea and I would get some percent discount off of my future purchases when I bring in the canister. I told her no each time but she kept insisting that it was the way to go. I think she got the picture after my third refusal. She then proceeded to show me all of her most expensive teas before settling on the cheap one that I originally asked for, Let me rephrase that… «cheap» as in I thought it was cheap by reading the big price printed on the container, which said $ 19.95. I figured this was for a pound. I mean, wouldn’t you assume so? WRONG! The lady said she recommended starting with at least 8 ounces of tea and then started filling the paper bag. She weighed it and rang it up and asked me for $ 80 and some change! I asked her if she added an extra 0 in there by mistake! Then she showed me the price sticker on the container that said it was $ 19.95 «for 2 ounces» in small letters that you cannot read from the customer side of the counter! Deceptive to say the least! I said no thanks. You can put that back. Then she tried to get me to buy 6 ounces and then I finally relented and said give me half a scoop, which turned out to be a little over 2 ounces. If looks could kill, I wouldn’t be typing out this review now because she was definitely not happy at my decision. Then she had the audacity to tell me I needed to buy a $ 100 cast iron pot or the tea wouldn’t taste as good if it were brewed outside of this expensive and small metal pot. I said no thanks and got the heck out of there. The microwave is fine for me.

If you love tea, from the leaf not the store bought bag, this is a wonderful place. Teavana in the wolfchase galleria is a nice store, that has samples of products and you can even order a cup of tea of a mixture that you like for a great price. Why is this good, because I like Hot tea on a cold day, or just to relax not coffee. This is a store, mind you, so they have very nice tea supplies, serving trays and a nice variety of teas that you can mix to your taste. Just to remind tea is not cheap, but it is worth it as a little will go a long way :-) A great place to go for even tea beginners!
